There are so many varieties of pot and planter. Obviously there are plants as well, and they look healthy. To my surprise, they are also really cute decors with cats and dogs.

This has always been a great experience and worth the drive over no matter the time of year. So far we've visited in the fall and now in the winter. Where some of the bonsai were out in the fall, everything is brought inside the greenhouse now for winter. There is quite the selection of everything to do with plants such as succulents, orchids, bonsai trees, air plants, flowers and everything related. There is even equipment for ponds for sale. I'm really anticipating coming here as well during the spring time!

Hands-down the best nursery in the GTA. I always end up spending over $100 here because they have a lot of rare plants that I do not see elsewhere. Although I have to say, you have to do your research and make sure you do a price comparison with other plant shops before you spend your money here. For example, they were selling Kalanchoe tomentosa for $40. I found the exact same plant (same size) for $10 in downtown. Every time I come here, the staff would explain to me how to take care of each plant that I bought and the service has always been very friendly. My sister and I were talking to the staff for a good 10 minute on lithops and succulents. Not only do they have a variety of plants but they have a lot of amazing options for plant food and pots. This is literally one of my favourite places to go to in GTA. The plants are so well maintained in their little greenhouse, it always makes me happy when I pay a visit. NOTE: they do not take credit card if your purchase is less than $10. Parking gets a little crazy during weekends, it gets crowded close to noon time so, I highly suggest you get to Kim’s the moment they open their doors. Face mask is required, even if you’re “semi-outdoors” in the greenhouse.

Absolutely beautiful place with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are truly passionate about plants and it shows in the quality of their plants. They have a nice variety of very hard to find materials that are directly imported from Japan. For bonsai enthusiasts, Kim offers genuine Materials, supplies and tools from Japan. The quality is immediately evident. Highly recommended. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality. It is nice to finally come across a nursery in GTA that offers these supplies. They have a fantastic plant selection to compliment the supplies and also offer a unique assortment of decorative items for your home. Drop by and check them out. You won't be disappointed. Every aisle has something cool in it. Very neat place that is well organized and maintained. I am very impressed.

What a fantastic store! It doesn't look like much from the outside but don't judge a book by the cover ! A massive selection of plants, beautiful orchids, rare succulents and amazing bonsai trees! Super friendly staff too. Honestly it was such a nice surprise to find this shop!

My wife wanted to visit this garden centre located at Major Mackenzie Dr E and Hwy 48/Markham Road so we took a long drive up here from T.O. The parking lot had enough space for a dozen vehicles inside the chain fence and others were relegated to parking on the shoulder of Hwy 48. This place gave me the impression that the Kim's were waiting around for a developer to gobble up their corner property for redevelopment; maybe it happened already. I found the building was an era of the past with mismatch rooms, uneven flooring, makeshift extensions. The word relic kept popping into my mind. If you can get beyond that, there are plenty of plants choices, Koi fish, gardening & pond supplies,, pots, lawn ornaments, etc. The prices were on the high side...my wife knows as our own garden is a testament. Purchases must be over $10 to use credit or debit cards. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We made purchases but this was a one and done.

Love this place! Local, super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always a lovely experience and I learn something new each visit. There's no deals and you won't find the "cheapest" plant there like you might at the grocery store, but they take very good care of the plants (unlike the grocery stores) and have very reasonable prices that are generally on par if not more affordable than most local nurseries.

My wife and I recently started our little plant family. A friend referred us to Kim's and so we drove from downtown Toronto out to Markham to buy our first plants. The staff is amazingly helpful, positive and extremely well educated/informed. They helped us pick the right plants to get started and equipped us with everything we needed. We went back a second time and had the same service and experience. We decided this is the only place we'll go for a while for our garden and plant needs. We make a trip out of it and always feel motivated and inspired when we leave!

Loved going to the nursery. Definitely one of the best in the GTA for orchids and unique plants. Not a huge variety. Lots of interesting pots. A variety of different soil and soil amendments. Will definitely be going again. One thing I did notice was aphids but other wise mostly healthy plants.

Everything looks very nice and at a very good price and quality, there are different varieties of plants and very beautiful bonsai I bought and I am happy with my bonsai the only thing they lack is to be able to order online that do not have to be through Facebook or Instagram

This place specializes in bonsai, orchids and ponds, in summer, there are plants for the yards as well. I grow orchids, so this is my go-to place when I need my supplies such as pots, mediums, fertilizer, accessories, etc. Compared to many accessible online shops and physical shops in North America, their prices are very reasonable. For cat lovers, you have to say hi to their cat manager. He is super friendly and will come to greet you while you shop.

Was looking for a Calamondin orange tree for a 50th birthday gift. Everywhere in the gta there was no stock, or trees without fruit. Happened upon Kim's Nature and gave them a call. They had a number of Calamondin, with fruit and small blossoms! The storefront is very unassuming but the variety of specialized plants (Ming Arelia, Bonsai, Orchids, Kumquat, etc. etc.) and supplies they carry, are amazing. The gentleman there was friendly and extremely helpful. He carefully examined the plant for pests or disease, and gave me a lot of great instructions and tips on the care of the plant. I’m not familiar with the price of tropical or specialty plants, but they all seemed reasonable, and the Calamondin was similarly priced as other places – but again, with fruit and blossoms! I will definitely come back for any new specialty plant purchases / supplies!

Place has a good selection of interesting plants but literally every time I have bought something here over the years the plant always end up having some sort of pest on it. Just bought a $100 Chinese Elm from them a few weeks back cause I thought oh I'd give them another chance and here I am at home with another plant from them with a pest on it (this time it’s scale). Not to mention the pot they put the thing in is way too big for the size of the plant. The root ball was probably a 1/4 of the size of the pot they put it in. Anyways really annoyed considering the crazy prices they charge for stuff now and the fact they aren't spraying or even checking their plants for pests or even potting the plants up properly.

This is one of the best garden centers that I have recently become familiar with. The owners and staff are most welcoming and helpful. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful with information about plant care and best suited for you, plants. I have ordered for delivery, and visited their business personally, and am extremely pleased with their business. Thank you Wing, your mother and all your staff. I will be definitely revisiting your store.

This place has a great variety of plants! The pot selection is large but very few nice ones with drainage. They'll drill a hole in a pot but the hole is so massive a lot of dirt will come out. I bought 3 different String of Hearts (1 early in the season and 2 later in the season) from here this past summer, all of them had mealybug infestations. Unfortunately, I've had to get rid of the plants as I could not save them. Afraid to go back and try again!

Really amazing selection of bonsai here, a bit on the pricy side but most of them look like they've been designed and raised with great care. Almost none of the trees look like generic farm raised specimens. Also very friendly owner and knowledgable staff, highly recommend!

Very very good selection and variety of plants. Well stocked and the owners are the utmost professional and knowledgeable people in the industry. I've planted for years this place is my favorite for vegetable and garden plants.

Worth the trip and wish I could give them more stars. We had a struggling bonsai tree, and we’re referenced to Kim‘s nature by a very knowledgable person. The person who helped us at Kim’s Nature spent a lot of time with us and were incredibly informative with no pressure to purchase. He simply wanted to help and we could feel a real passion for his discipline. Additionally, the selection is incredible and the pricing was great. Everything was incredible. It was close to an hour drive for us, and now we will make that trip any time as these people truly care about the plants, the people and the experience they deliver. It’s rare and awesome.

I visited this store frequently last summer and found their common products to be very overpriced, the staff had little knowledge of plants, and a lack of warranty that is expected for a nursery. If you are into specialty plants that cannot be found anywhere else, this might be the place for you. But if you are just looking for common houseplants, perennials and shrubs, the big box stores or even larger nurseries can offer better value and experience.

Great customer service and beautiful arrangement of all kinds of plants! They definitely know their stuff!! Beautiful Orchids and Bonsai plants as well as succulents and cactus’s! As well as your outdoor garden flowers and anything else you need! My favourite plant and garden centre! Extremely knowledgeable on how to care for everything!

This is my favourite nursery. It is a family owned business. The owners are passionate about plants and extremely knowledgeable. I have learned so much from them. I like to buy orchids and aloes here and veggies in spring. It’s not a huge nursery but the prices are good, the plants are healthy and beautiful and the owners are marvellous. This is a place for true plant lovers.

Kim's Nature is a family run business since the early 1990s. They carry all kinds of plants and garden related products. If you are a Bonsai tree lovely, this place will not disappoint you. They also have amazing selection of succulents and Terrarium. They are so knowledgeable and will answer any questions you might have for your outdoor garden and house plants. When you see Kim, she is really friendly and love to chat. They also have a small aquarium section, selling some live fish and home aquarium and pond supplies. It is not a huge place and parking is limited (Usually you can park without waiting). I really think it is worth a visit!

Great place to buy pots and growing containers. The plants can sometimes look overwatered and some have scars/issues or dont look happy but they are so decently priced that you might as well try and fix the issue yourself sometimes. Just choose wisely! Removed a start because I bough coconut husk and tree bark for my orchid once and both bags were infested with a white tiny bugs. My orchid died :( . I would steer clear from those hand-packaged unlabelled husk/bark/soil bags! Other than that, I went back this week and got a pink 4 inch and matte orange 6 inch pot and they seem to cut some of the pots' drainage holes themselves. How convenient!! 😍👌🏼

Love this store. It is amazing. My first option is bonsai, they have trees that stay outside all year and tropicals. They also have lots of rare tropical plants and orchids which have come home with me. Soils, pots, plant food, stands, equipment, my budget is always toast when I come to Kim’s. Staff is always friendly and helpful with advice on how to best take care of the specific plant you buy. As a bonus there is a cute, little, friendly, gray cat to greet you if you’re lucky.
