I had a fly in my tapioca. I'm trying to stay calm as I'm typing this. I came here on a friday night with some friends since we were visiting someone in the area. The plaza was the closest to us. I knew I should of went to Coco instead (in the same plaza), when I saw a bunch of people hovering at the store front. But against my own judgement I decided to go to the alley since I haven't for a while. Now I remember why I stopped going. The service was slow and it was rowdy inside. The other customers were also very loud. The parking lot had a lot of loud cars that eventually became obnoxious. I got my drink and drove home. I was half done with my drink when I felt a weird "ball" in my mouth. Not a ball. Let the pictures do the explaining. IF THE STAFF WEREN'T SO FOCUS ON THESE OTHER CUSTOMERS MAYBE THEY WOULD OF NOTICED! OR DID A QUALITY CHECK ON THEIR TAPIOCAS. If they just let the door closed instead of letting these people walk in and out with the door wide open MAYBE this wouldn't happen. It's disgusting and now I have a fear of adding tapioca into any drink. NEVER coming again.

I would be doing a huge injustice by giving this store a good review. Your tapioca will be weighted and if it too much, they will remove even one small tapioca just to reach the weight. The quality was so bad, i've had better bubble tea 5 years ago at pacific mall. My mouth felt dehydrated and can't help but think that tap water was added to my drink. On top of all this, I've heard some pretty terrible things about the owner. Support at your own risk.

Love that the alley location is here. Hidden from all the other ones, but still just as good Came in for the pompompurin collab and let’s start by saying, amazing collab! The drinks were great. Had the whole collab lineup with my kids. The peach one, mango and the last one being yogurt pudding. All solid drinks but I thought the pudding one represented pompompurin the best! Not thick like a pudding, but more of a pudding like taste with a yogurt drink style Forgot to mention I wanted to get the clips for the collab after I paid for my drinks, but still let me purchase Service was quick in getting the drinks together and they looked fantastic too Great job overall!

The wait time here is ridiculous. It took so long that even though I was second in line, I had to wait an additional ten minutes to get serviced so in total, 20 minutes to get a beverage. They had no milk tea left and only steeped the new batch for a mere few seconds before they put it in my royal no.9 drink. They also ran out of coffee jelly, boo. Lo and behold, the drink tasted super watered down so now I get everyone’s complaints here. It also made my mouth super dry. I haven’t been to this location for a year but the quality and service has gone down drastically. I was so scared to find a fly in my drink after seeing a review here on Google AFTER I already got my beverage. Update: I found an effing fingernail in my bubble tea. I am beyond repulsed!!

Had the worst experience at this the Alley. Came here on a Friday evening and there were rows of cars being loud and revving. The workers were slow and so was the service. Not to mention there were also a lot of people around the general area (inside and out). I do not recommend coming to this location, there are plenty of other the Alleys and bubble tea store you could go to (there is a CoCo in the same plaza). Save yourself the time and effort and go to a different store.

Their drink is not bad but this place ran out of tapioca on a regular basis. I don’t understand how a bubble tea place operates without tapioca??? There are so many options in the area so go elsewhere to avoid disappointment.

extremely unpleasant experience here. I came here to get some bubble tea. staff was rude and loud. the bubble tea was also pretty bad and watered down. owner seemed like he was way too old to be pretending like he's a young teenager driving a racecar.

Terrible experience here. Bubble tea made me extremely thirsty after and tasted extemely watered down. I think I saw the owner once and he looked like he belonged in a senior home.

Just brought a bbt from here tonight. Service was friendly. However, I’m not sure what kind of straw they used. It’s so thin and flimsy. I can’t even sip anything out of it.

We bought their signature drinks ~ Deerioca Fever & Royal No.9 Milk Tea. Deerioca Fever is brown sugar pearls with fresh milk. It is very tasty & not too sweet! I like it & will go back next time!

Quality at this location is pretty consistent for the most part. Absolutely loved their Deerioca Ube Taro! The odd time I do get watered down drinks from this place... which prompts me to visit their competitors until I feel like it's time to give them another try.

Fast service and friendly staff. Francine was super sweet!! Ordered my usually which is the iron goddess and it tasted delicious. The tapioca was nice and chewy and the oolong tea had a nice floral flavour.

Good atmosphere for a hangout or grabbing a solo seat. Drinks tasted and looked good. There were a few creative options like their Tiramisu bobba drink. They do run out of Tapioca pearls, though, as a few other people mentioned as early as mid day. Prices are average compared to other bubble tea chain stores anyways.

The Alley is famous for its traditional mix of Taiwanese teas with pearls. Bur Oak location is nothing short of great quality bubble tea. I prefer this location because it is relatively new and seems like the staff are really into doing things great. I tried the #9 Royal tea and the hot Hojicha latte. Both were distinct and very delicious. I became a big point for me when I found out that they produce their own sugar cane syrup!

5-Stars for attention to customer service and amazing quality drinks. Wish they have food, I would stay a bit longer and probably drink more than 1 tea. There's also another popular BBT place in the same plaza but it just does not compare to The Alley. Atmosphere and interior design is gorgeous

I’ve been going to this Alley since it opened and never had a problem until recently. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s this same staff making my drinks, but they’re young and rude. I don’t expect much, but when someone asks me what drink I’m ordering, don’t interrupt me before I finish and ask sugar level. Then the same for ice level. Then the same for how I’m paying. They cut me off every time and didn’t ask for my points, so they had to punch that in after I asked. The worst part is the drinks were absolute garbage. I ordered 3 drinks and all 3 immediately went down the drain and in the garbage when I got home. They all tasted watered down. I’m not sure what’s happening at this Alley, but the owner needs to hire better staff. You can tell who’s experienced there and it’s not fair they work 100% of the time just to save customers from these horrible experiences. I’ll be going to the Main St. Unionville Alley moving forward even though it’s an extra 10min of driving for me. It really sucks because I’m walking distance to this Alley and it was so good before.

Charged premium price and given sugar water instead of boba tea. Instead of using liquid sugar, they used regular sugar on their original bubble tea. There's no tea flavor, the sugar completely overpowered it. Doesn't even know the standards of making boba tea. if I could give 0 stars, I would.

I wanted to try this place out because i always see a bunch of asian guys at my gym with their drinks. Moving forward... i will only ever get bubble tea from the alley! Great service!! The people there are extremely welcoming and nice. Their selections of tea go beyond your traditional bubble tea places. The place is clean and well decorated. My first visit here i tried their sample for the day ( Royal Number 9) highly suggest it! Have been back every Sunday for the past 3 weeks!

Wait time can be quite long even if it doesn't appear to be busy. Drinks are pretty consistent. I found it best to order online through the app to avoid the long wait times.

We went on October 5th around 4:45 pm and the service was awesome! The guy who served us was very meticulous in his work and did a great job in making our drinks! Keep up the good work! 5 star rating!

Ordering through the app was quick and easy! Pick up was a little slow because they were busy. I got the passion fruit with zero added sugar and it was perfect! I agree with other reviewers on pricing. A tad on the expensive side.

Drink was amazing ! However, it was an extremely long wait considering there were three staffs and one customer before me.

This is the best location of the 6+ Alley locations I've been to. The quality of their drinks is more consistent than the other locations!

The drink was really good, the wait time was short. I would highly recommend adding pictures or descriptions to accompany the menu items. It makes choosing a drink a lot more difficult when you don't know what's in it. It's especially hard to hear/ask questions through the plexi-glass. Other than that, the flavors and options are quite unique compared to other bubble tea cafes.

They have a good selection of different flavours

The drinks are good and the service is decent but I don't like the fact that they allow kids from the close by high school to come in after school and take up the tables and seats without buying anything. And there are couples making out at the tables and then go into the washroom together doing who knows what. Seriously, the seats should be for paying customers only. I know the staff can only do so much but I don't wanna use that washroom. EDIT: Changing my review as the response to my complaint was so quick. Thank you to the ownership/management for being so swift in rectifying the issue. I'm very impressed!

Super warm-hearted staff! My daughter couldn’t take cold drink and they re-made a warm cup for her. She loved the Deerioca milk a lot!

I have been to the Alley many times & have never had a bad drink. Their menu is pretty creative. I recently saw that they have a drink made with ube (purple yam) so had to try it. I got the deerioca ube taro (brown sugar tapioca with mashed taro and fresh milk topped with ube taro sauce). The drink was pretty good but my favorite part was the brown sugar tapioca. They always get the texture right & it's the perfect amount of sweetness. Best best part was that I got this drink for free using my reward points. It's free to join & you get one free drink for every 10 you buy.

Hands down best alley in the GTA. Wait time is the fastest. Usually I get my drink in under 5 minutes, especially when the two guys are working. Drink is always standard and made perfectly (compared to other locations where milk powder, tapioca, sugar level can be off...or even worse not closed tapered/closed off properly). This place always has it right. =)

They NEVER have deerioca. Went today and for the 5th time in a row was told they dont have deerioca. As much as I do love the drink its a complete waste of time even trying to get it here at this location. I persistantly kept going back hoping for any sign of improvement until today I finally gave up hope. Might as well just take Deerioca off the menu at this point
