    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. They gave us a room upgrade - very nice of them and we didn’t expect it! Service was fantastic, staff were very friendly, accommodating and nice. Made our anniversary perfect. Thank you!!

    We stayed for our wedding anniversary and everything was amazing. Check in was quick and easy with bottles of water provided as we arrived, the staff were very helpful even assisting with luggage even though we didn't have much. The bottle of champagne and strawberries delivered to the room as an anniversary gift was amazing and the turn down service while we were out seeing a show was a lovely surprise to return to and capped off a wonderful weekend. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Sydney. Thank you for making our anniversary unforgettable.

    We booked for the jewel suite but surprisingly got upgraded to the penthouse. May the sweet lady at reception was so friendly and accommodating. In fact all your staff was fantastic. So helpful. The room was more than we could ask for. We were greeted with a bottle of Moet and chocolate covered strawberries! The room and view is to die for! Will be back and recommend the darling to everyone for every needs!

    After 40 yrs of traveling, I've stayed in my fair share of 5 star hotels but this hotel is a TOP TIER 5 star hotel. The value for the services is extraordinary. This is operated by people who love their job and it shows. I would write more, but there are far too many examples of the staff going far and above in providing services and attention to the finest details. Stay here and you will not regret it.

    Pros: The location is great with easy access to the casino, fish market, the opera house, the maritime museum and ,etc. The service was pretty nice. Bonnie at the front desk was so nice. She told us bunch of information around this area as it was our first time to be in Sydney. The room is clean and cozy. Design style is modern and fashion one. Cons: The uber driver could only drop us the opposite side of the road each time when getting back to the hotel.

    Unfortunately not a five star hotel. It was clean, but that is where it ends. When we checked in we specifically asked for a late checkout and they said sure no problem it would be an extra charge and we were absolutely ok with that. The gym was very small, it had 2 treadmills and 1 bike and 1 elliptical. It had some small free weights but no where to use them. The max amount of people who would fit comfortably inside the gym is 4. The communication was poor. We would call down and ask for water and it never came. When we called for room service they were extremely rude, but the food once it came was good. The bellmen were excellent (the best part of the hotel) The day of our checkout around 1030a we handed one of the receptionist the keys to one of our rooms and let them know we would still be staying in the other room till 3/330 as discussed when we first checked in. We were at lunch enjoying our last day of Sydney at 119pm I got a phone call from the darling hotel asking if "I forgot my bags". I said no, we are checking out at 3/330 like we had said. Well they literally moved all of our items (cleaned our room and shoved our stuff in bags) went into our safe and completely cleaned out our room without even a courtesy call, they had our Amex on file we had told them twice we were paying for a late checkout and still this happened. We were mortified and felt violated. They "apologized" but to be honest they didn't even seem to care. It was the WORST experience we have ever had and could not believe this happened to us. They offered to take our room service for breakfast off to compensate and we said absolutely not. They finally agreed to give us money off the room. This hotel is absolutely disorganized and unprofessional. If you want to feel like you are staying at a 5 star hotel do NOT stay here. Such a terrible disappointment. I really wish we would have picked a different hotel. It isn't about the money it is the principal. I never want someone to go through my stuff at a hotel, I feel SO violated.

    I had a lovely stay here last night with my partner. Huge thank you to Yvette for upgrading our room to a suite with a view! I celebrated the evening of my 21st here and she was so lovely, going above and beyond to make our stay here the best and even writing a little card that was later delivered to our room. The service here overall is impeccable and definitely worthy of 5 stars. Even the small touches like inbuilt wireless chargers on the bedside table and Balmain products. Worth every dollar !!

    Excellent front desk, low-key luxury. The room was very well maintained and has everything for a great night stay. It's also an easy walk from The Darling entrance to Darling Harbour and also has a few cute cafes just across the road.

    This was the best hotel room I have stayed so far. I booked Jewel Spa Suite for my husbands birthday. Ali one of the staff upgraded our room which was really nice of him. The room was amazing , clean , spacious and the view was awesome. The service we got from their staff was great especially from Ali. I hope the hotel reads this comment and pass our appreciation. Will come back again for sure. Worth the price.

    Rooms are good, specious, clean however room service was not that great. Ensure to order food and drinks in well advance and confirm the order twice as they forget half of the things! Location is also good!

    The most amazing hotel experience ever. Even from check in the staff made us feel special and welcome, special mention to front desk staff member Byanbaa, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She greeted us with a genuine smile and friendliness. We had a twin queen bed suite which was just gorgeous. Super comfy beds, pillows, beautiful linen and decor. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

    This was my first time visiting Sydney, and I chose The Darling as my place to stay. The concierge was accommodating with my luggage and car. When I checked in, Ms. Byambaq's service was absolutely the best I have ever experienced. She thoughtfully took care of my travelling needs and took as many maps around the hotel as possible to explain to me. It was with her patience and thoughtfulness that Darling Harbor or Sydney as a whole became clear to me. In addition to this, her international background and knowledge of the specific (Chinese) culture gave me an amicable experience that made me feel at home. At the end of my stay, she accompanied me to introduce me to the facilities in my room, which made me feel the hotel's charm. The room was exactly as described on the hotel's website: well-designed and comfortable. I was amazed that when I came back from outside, the service staff had already finished the night bed service for me and put paper pads for my glasses on the table. Such details make me choose The Darling as my permanent choice for my future stay in Sydney. Last but not least, thank you again to Ms. Byambaq, the doorman of the hotel and all the people who served me in my room for making me enjoy the comfort and peace of mind of a home away from home. I look forward to seeing you next time. My hair may be longer.

    Yvette was amazing during our stay, helpful with restaurant recommendations and places to visit. The whole team at The Darling were amazing with servicing our needs and making sure every part of our stay was extraordinary. We are so grateful and we will not be staying anywhere else in Sydney except The Darling at The Star Casino.

    booked and stayed overnight here at The Darling Hotel, Sydney located close to the star hotel and casino. Special thanks to Ms Byambaa for the exemplary service and the room upgrade. You made our days off extra special. To the hotel personnels who are friendly and always ready to assist us at anytime. Thank you for making our stay seamless.. From check in to check out and for offering luggage storage. To the room attendants who tirelessly refill all the supplies and made sure the room is nice and comfortable, thank you so much. I appreciate all your efforts. I have been visiting the said hotel almost every week. Will highly recommended this place to anyone who needed a break.

    We had the most amazing stay at The Darling. From the moment we arrived to the sad moment we left the service was effortless and efficient. The staff could not do enough for us. Our room was fantastic, we had already upgraded to a Jewel Suite Spa but the lovely lady that checked us in upgraded us again. The view from our spa bath looking out over the harbour was breathtaking. We loved the room so much we just did not want to leave. By far the best city hotel we have ever stayed in. Thank you for making our stay special. If you are looking to book an unforgettable stay in Sydney I highly recommend you book this hotel.

    Awesome hotel with fabulous service. I had booked this hotel for an occasion. All the staff were helpful and nice, especially Sonia. She had booked us in and had sent us a bottle of wine & a box of chocolate . Great service and friendly staff.

    The best 5 stars hotel experience so far. Chloe was helping us to check in and out. Also helped us a lot during the stay. Recommended different things for us to do while we were in Sydney. So professional, she deserves 10/10 stars for her kind service. Overall everyone, everything and spa treatments are next level and helpful.

    I stayed here as I had my work Xmas party on a cruise at Wharf 9. Great location to stay at. I was blown away with how beautiful this hotel is! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay an absolutely wonderful experience. Yvette checked me in and set the scene for outstanding customer service. My room was stunning. The pool and spa also beautiful. If you want a rock star stay, then come here!

    I stayed here for one night whilst attending a business function. From the moment I stepped out of my taxi on arrival, the service was just next level and this continued throughout my stay. The room was a standard room with a king bed. It was very tastefully decorated and exceptionally quiet. It was easy to navigate all the tech in the room and just felt both opulent yet comfortable. Not a fan of these electronic bar fridges however given I did not make use of it, it was not of concern.

    One of my favourite places to stay. Service and staff are 11/10 and have always gone above and beyond each time I have stayed here. Each time have stayed to celebrate an occasion we have either gotten an upgrade or complimentary gifts sent to the room or both. The are also so generous with hotel amenities. Cannot recommend this hotel and it’s staff enough!

    Our service was absolutely first class from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a calm and warm explanation of how things operate with valet parking and check in area, which was amazing after such a long drive from the country into the city. From here we’re guided by smiling faces to the check in where Ben gave us prompt first class check in and personal guarantee of the service. Upon easy transition into our incredible spa suite came our next highlight when we surprised by an amazing desert for our anniversary, delivered with the perfect timing and absolutely professionalism. For us the absolute highlight came from the door crew of Joshua, Sylvia and Riz watching these amazing people operate at their job is truly a delight to watch.. massive props to Sylvia who I personally watched go way above and beyond and getting us a taxi in an extremely busy time to ensure we made our diner reservation. Can’t wait till our next trip. From the bottom of our hearts thank you all team The Darling.

    Stayed here recently, rooms were amazing super clean & spacious. Customer service was amazing all the staff were super lovely and always willing to help. The day spa was exceptional I couldn’t recommend them enough. I would not order from the in room dining menu again as it was not the best.

    This was my second time staying, first time was in 2014. Once I stepped into the room, I was WOW!!! The room is huge! It's such a shame I was traveling by my own. The view is utterly amazing, 270 degree views. The bathtub was a Plus, it faces to the new casino.

    From the first interaction with the darling team reservations, I felt like a VIP, you know.. not just another number/ booking. The reservations team were so helpful and polite! All businesses should learn from this style and level of customer service.. and it wasn’t just reservations, the bell captains, the concierge, the front office and housekeepers. I wanted to surprise my partner for his birthday and booked the jewel spa suite.. the Japanese spa bath was so luxurious! I had this grand idea of setting up the room with balloons, rose petals and gifts. The darling team were happy to accommodate my request so I dropped the decorations of the day prior. When we arrived it seemed everyone at the darling knew about the surprise but kept it discreet in front of my partner, to the point that the bell captain held off from wishing a happy birthday until the next day as not to spoil that he knew about the birthday surprise.. so well done and thoughtful. They set up the room beautifully! It was better than what I had imaged in my head the weeks leading up to the booking. The room was clean, had a lovely scent.. the spa and ‘cloud like’ bed was divine. Throughout the evening we had a knock at the door and they had prepared and delivered a lovely gift for my partner, with a signed card from the Director of hotels themselves… I mean WOW and Thank you This is seriously the best experience I’ve had with any accommodation provider. If you’re looking for that 5 star +++ service, the darling is the place to go Thank you Darling Team, you are all AMAZING! we can’t wait to come back. Matty and Cass

    Amazing amazing hotel I arrived early 6 am after a long haul Peter Helena Tiago were amazing so friendly welcoming and found me a room Beautiful rooms ! Lathe best bath comfy begs lots of water great toiletries They brought me a kettle green tea lemon just wonderful service ! Jon who handled taxis luggage was also great Brilliant location

    We had an amazing experience during our stay at The Darling. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here. Brad and May made sure it was a memorable one! Thank you so much for everything guys, we really appreciated it! All in all, one of the best hotels in Sydney. Excellent service, amazing rooms and thoughtful staff. We will definitely be back!

    I had an excellent stay at the Darling made best by the five-star help I got from the front desk. In particular Chloe made me feel right at home with her recommendations. She tailored her recs to exactly what I was looking for and even suggested getting an umbrella early as it was due to rain. Genuinely the best experience I've had from a front desk at any place I've ever stayed! Otherwise the room was quite spacious and the shower and bathroom were separate which was a nice touch. Room service was prompt and came multiple times a day. Pool and tub were great at the grand star which you also have access too. My only real issue here was their gym was a little lackluster compared to the rest. Not that it was bad at all but it was a bit small, didn't have gym towels and you had to walk through the pool to get there which was kinda strange. I know they are doing renovations so maybe this will be improved soon!

    We had the most relaxing stay at The Darling. Special thanks to Helena at reception for taking good care of us. We appreciated your warm service. All the staff- from valet to housekeeping- were so thoughtful and attentive. We were greeted with water (which was gratefully appreciated after an early flight) and upgraded to a beautiful suite. The room was spacious and luxurious. The breakfasts at Sokyo were delicious. The location so handy to everything. Will be back again!

    This is one of my favourite hotels because the staff go above and beyond and the rooms are spectacular. I was greeted with a smile prior to walking in to the hotel and asked if I needed assistance with my bags from concierge and hotel staff at front desk waiting for my arrival. The room was extremely clean and room service and house keeping was very prompt, even got a late check out complimentary. Great room service menu and there is always staff to help with everything you need, nothing is ever a problem. Special thankyou to Peter Wang who made my stay better then I expected. Highly recommend this hotel and the Spa suite with a view absolutely perfect. Will be back soon

    Cannot fault this hotel, Jewel room is AMAZING!! Immaculate with the wow factor. The service is unbeatable, they all went above and beyond to help us with extra requirement for our 13 month old.     My partner booked here for our anniversary and we stayed in the jewel spa sweet. From the minute we walked in the service was fantastic each worker really makes you feel special and is fantastic at their job. The hotel is absolutely stunning I really don't have a bad word to say we will 100% be back 😊

    We stayed at the Darling for 5 nights on our first trip to Sydney, Australia and we absolutely loved this hotel! Truly a 5-star property in all regards. From the front desk staff, to the housekeeping crew, to the bell boys, excellent service all around. Special mention to Ali who was super helpful with our luggage and always made sure we had everything we needed in our room. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious and the bed super comfy. It's also conveniently located close to many little cafes and restaurants that are within waking distance and pretty close to the harbour as well. We'll def be staying here again whenever we visit Sydney next time!

    All staff were super nice and smiled upon seeing us. Helena from the front desk was very welcoming and provided such a warm service, even taking us to our room. When she found out it was my birthday, she upgraded us for free which was super kind of her making our experience even better! Facilities are awesome and rooms are super nice, clean and spacious too.

    We had a mix-up with accommodation and the hotel staff were incredibly patient and kind. I believe because we all remained calm and respectful of each other we received an upgrade to the penthouse - it pays to be nice. The suite was huge, clean and the spa bath was amazing. The views are ones that I will never forget - Thank you Vanilla and Byambaa for your incredible customer service.

    We absolutely loved every moment of our stay at The Darling. We were there for 6 days and the staff were amazing. The property was superb and our suite was stunning. The location is perfect, particularly if you’re a foodie and very easy to get around. We’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels and this by far was the best we’ve ever experienced. Thank you to all the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Overall a 10/10 ❤️
