Fresh food every day and excellent service in this small crèmerie and fromagerie located halfway up rue Gambetta near the heart of Sarlat's historical center in the Dordogne Valley. The cheese selection is one-of-a-kind and the daily "plat du jour" is excellent and affordably priced as well.

Cute and great local eatery right near the center of town. If you love cheese you will really enjoy this place. The menu is different everyday depending on what vegetables are in season. Owner is nice and accommodating. Place is always busy so you would need to reserve in advance.

Oh my... Imagine a great cheese shop. Got it? Now... Imagine having lunch in it!! Cheese and charcuterie slate to start, baked Saint Nectaire with potato, salad and more charcuterie, beautiful wine to accompany (Faugères) and homemade brioche-tiramisu. The owners are kind and offer a better service than many 5 stars hotels. Best lunch in a restaurant since... since... I can't recall anything that good actually. If you ever visit Sarlat, go go go!

Have had to eat here several times on our holiday because of how excellent their food is and due to the quality of the service. Excellent value with their menu de midi. Particularly delightful for their cheese / veg dishes. I don’t know how they cook their potatoes but the chef is very clever!

Super cute cheese shop where you can also grab a delicious board of meat and cheese for a bargain price! Highly recommended.

We've enjoyed absolutely delicious food at La Cremerie. I can recommend to go with the daily menu and let it surprise you. The wine and coffee are also great. Also my compliments to the owners who patiently explained the menu (in English) and are very friendly! Impossible to beat value/price!!

I can understand why this nice casual, and relaxed, restaurant ranks highly on Trip Advisor. But, you need to view it for what it is, then you know what to expect. It is a nice casual uncomplicated place for dining. But it is not to be compared on same basis as some of the restaurants in town offering fuller menus and wider choice. That said, if you want a truly flavorsome lunch or simple dinner, don't overlook La Cremerie. The day we visited for lunch, the menu of the day offered vegetable samosas and they were superb. And the wine by the glass was excellent. The team that run it have such a friendly, smiling approach too. Check it out. It is not in the heart of the old town, but only a short walk away, and worth making the effort to go there.

We stopped by for lunch and tried the plat de jour which was toasted bread topped with vegetables and cheese and a plate of cheeses and charcuterie - both were served with a green side salad and roast potatoes. It was a lovely simple light lunch and a great opportunity to try a selection of cheeses and smallgoods.
