Hospital Obstetrics gynecology clinic

😠 The front desk staff are the most miserable, rudest people I've ever encountered . As a first time mother, the experience made me a little upset. The midwife was lovely however. People often mention hospital, care, birth, experience, staff, baby, midwives, time, doctors, nurses,

Really bad!!! Worst reception staff We've ever experienced in the gynocology department and at the pregnancy clinic. My poor partner had a really bad experience from the very first visit to the hospital. It's never improved and she still gets disgusting treatment 1 year later after a very tough birth with many errors and came out with some serious issues. There's a don't care attitude there that needs to be addressed. I really wish we'd gone private as we've heard so much better reports from friends who paid the extra money. We're gutted!

Lactation consultant has lost sight of why she is employed. Her Monday appointment was unavailable due to a public holiday, my wife was then discharged, but then not allowed to see her as an “outpatient”. How could someone that actively wants to helps new mums on the journey of breastfeeding send a new mum home crying - who’s waited 45 minutes to see her and made it all the way to the hospital 5 days after giving birth? That is someone who is just ticking a box and should not be employed by this hospital.

These guys have deleted my review from my main account so lets see how long this stays up. During my child's birth, they performed a procedure on me without consent or adequate pain relief. I now have severe PTSD and nerve damage. They are dragging their feet when it comes to resolving their errors in the birth of my child. I have to all but push them to give me a debrief with the original doctor who assaulted and disabled me. And have the cowardice to delete my original review. And don't get me started on their MGP program. If you transfer to the main hospital, your head midwife will stand by mutely as you scream "no" to procedures their obstetrician forces you into. So much for women-centric care at the birth centre. This hospital does not practice trauma-informed care, has no understanding of informed consent, and staff will do what they want, no matter what the mother, a sentient adult, has to say on the matter.

I had my baby at The Royal in July 2017. I had the best experience & the care was second to none. I was lucky enough to be part of the Midwifery Group Practice for my entire pregnancy, I miss my visits so much! I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful institution and the amazing people who work there.

Had my doctor refer me for antenatal care planning with Dr Beech to assess a chronic heart condition. Sadly, Dr Beech must've been fully booked, as I was shuffled into an appointment with Dr Sandra Lowe. Her haughty, condescending, abrupt and dismissive communication style was a shock, and needlessly unpleasant. She met my questions with thinly-veiled annoyance and disdain. If you are after a medical professional who genuinely wants to help their patients and answer your concerns, and isn't into power tripping and talking down at you, I'd recommend seeking another specialist to care for you throughout your pregnancy journey. Perhaps Dr Beech, as my doctor specifically recommended her out of all the specialists at Royal Hospital for Women.

Once you are inside getting treated by the doctors and nurses, they are lovely and professional. The problem is before you get there.... Try to call the hospital and you will experience this frustrating nightmare! The ladies at reception are extremely rude and don’t make any effort and not even pretend they care or want to help you with any concern, question or request you may have. They should find another job if they are that unhappy working in the reception of a public hospital. But guess government pay they salary not matter they performance at work, so... why should they care?

So grateful! After having a horrific and traumatising experience at Bankstown hospital with my third child (ended up giving birth at Liverpool because of there negligence thank god) but I refused to go back and have my fourth baby there even though it’s my local hospital. My doctor gave me a referral to the royal hospital for women… and honestly, as someone who had a high risk pregnancy and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I don’t think I could have ever have felt as cared for and as safe and respected. They took such care of me! Wanted to know what my ideas were for my birth wanted to get me my own room so felt safe. Through my labour talked me through everything they were going to do which is important because last experiences other places they just jab you with needles and tell you what it is when the needle is in your skin. Not the total hospital for women they were honestly so so so so so incredible! So friendly! Always making us laugh! Always making sure we were okay. So accomodating. I actually can’t get over my experience! I’m so so so happy I had my last baby there! THANK YOU TO ALL THE DOCTORS, MIDWIVES ultra sound techs and even the lovely ladies at the desk!

We has a wonderful experience at this hospital. The nurses, midwives and doctors are compassionate, caring and do such a fantastic job. Unfortunately our baby had to be in the nicu for a few days after birth but they did such a great job taking care of our baby.

The worse hospital in Sydney . Poor and old facilities- emergency room is absolute disgrace with old seat from 70 a u comfortable - staff aren’t friendly and no compassion whatsoever here . I would advise everybody to go to sydney city to get checked and looked after. They will also do a better job. Each time we came here was long and solution given very poor on long run. They perform unnecessary tests on my 10 months old baby and hurt her . Emergency is an absolutely hell here

Got taken to Prince of Wales emergency by the ambulance and then transferred there with my newborn. You may as well stay home! During the weekend the doctors are too busy or not there to see you and nurses are busy gossiping about you are giving them headaches cause you can’t handle the pain. By the way they drugged me so much I was seeing weird stuff but I was still in pain. That’s something they are pro at giving you heaps of endone and morphine! Highly unprofessional and unpleasant experience. Thanks god my specialist requested my transfer to NOrth Shore Private Hospital.

Rude midwives & doctor. I was in there with my daughter who’s 9 months pregnant who couldn’t walk. (Healthy pregnancy until this). She was diagnosed with pelvic symphysis which is excruciatingly painful. Took hours before even paracetamol was given. Revolving door of midwives, mostly abrupt & dismissive. “Lots of emergencies today” (when isn’t there?). “Get back in your room”, when I was looking for someone to ask about pain relief as my daughter couldn’t walk. Intern doctor Mickayla Haufmann was pleasant & helpful (gave the diagnosis) but she disappeared to be replaced by Dr Khasaba (?), who was rude to me, & condescending. She then disappeared & yet another midwife appeared (about the 8th), persuaded my daughter to go home with pain relief, even though she couldn’t walk. I wonder if the treatment/attitude/attention are any better in the private hospital? Maybe that’s the underlying message?

I gave birth to my twins by c-section at the end of July. All doctors, nurses and midwives provided a great service. Staff was very helpful and I have learnt a lot from them during our stay at the hospital. One of my boys was jaundiced and I had some postnatal health issues as well and They all took an amazing and professional care about us.I can highly recommend this hospital as a public patient.

We had a great experience having our baby at the Royal Hospital for Women! All the midwives and doctors were really nice and gentle with us, couldn't ask for more considering this is our first born! Special shout out to Midwife Sandy at the Maternal Foetal Medicine clinic who was fantastic! Thank you to all the doctors, midwives and support staff that made it happen. Really appreciate all the hard work and late nights just to take care of the baby and baby mum.

If you really need to go there would be better if you die. Impossible to talk to somebody. If you have an appointment keep in mind it’s probably they’ll call you to cancel it and they’ll rebook the appointment in whatever day suits them without even asking you if you have free time to assist. Worst service ever!!!

Absolute madness there. Staff have no idea of their products. People lining up all over the place, wayyyy over priced, and everything is too hard for their "chef" Mario. I'd rather go to the one in prince of wales hospital. Food was decent though so I'll give them that, but coffee was consistently burnt. On my boycott list now.

I'd booked for a place in their Becoming Amazing Mums course 4 months in advance - which is a group programme for women about to become mothers who have experienced trauma in their lives. Leading up to the course, the course facilitator Beverley called me to arrange a pre-course time to meet. When we had trouble coordinating schedules (and she could only meet at Bondi Jn, and I live in Sydney's west), she offered a phone interview instead. She then missed our phone interview time, so we had to rearrange another phone interview time. The course was beginning on a Monday. On the Friday before, Beverley called me to tell me they'd decided not to accept me into the course. The reason was because I had "access to other forms of care" (during the phone interview she had asked me if I'd received help for my mental health condition before, and I had said I had seen a counsellor before). I then spoke to Jane, her supervisor, who told me I'd been rejected from the programme because I was having my baby delivered at RPA instead of RWS. When I asked her why this wasn't part of the course screening process at registration stage, and why I was only being told now - the day before the course was starting when I'd already cancelled plans and made arrangements to attend for the next 6 weeks - she said they would be looking into that from now on. I didn't buy it - and asked why she and Beverley had both offered different reasons as to why I'd been excluded - and Jane couldn't offer me a clear answer about this. BEWARE OF THIS HOSPITAL. They treated me like trash, and only seem concerned about helping women who belong to their elite, Eastern suburbs circle. Which is all very well, but why callously drop people at the last minute - without any protocols in place to minimise impact? A revolting disregard of responsibility and duty of care.

We cannot thank Dr B and the Midwife team enough. They are simply amazzzzzing! The only downside would be the food. Bar the lunches which are ok, the rest is slop I wouldn’t feed my dog. Seriously NSW Health, lift your game. You have people that are trying to heal yet you are feeding them food with little to no nutritional value. That doesn’t sound like good health care to me.........

I was unlucky enough to have surgery at RHW with Dr King Man Wan (Gynaecological Oncologist) (Gynaecology Oncology - Macquarie Ward) after another woman cancelled her surgery with Dr Wan. My biggest regret is agreeing to treatment with Dr Wan including surgery. My pre and post operative RHW paper work generated by Dr Wan was contaminated with an incorrect and in some aspects a highly embarrassing history. This occurred because Dr Wan failed to take a history from me at the first appointment I had with him. Dr Wan did not come and speak to me before he performed major abdominal surgery at RHW nor did he seek my consent for UNSW students to observe. A number of UNSW students observed my surgery without my consent whilst I was under a general anaesthetic including a hysteroscopy. I was discharged from RHW by Dr Wan following my surgery with a document entitled ‘draft discharge’ that had been prepared three days earlier, wasn’t up to date and with the date of discharge recorded as [XX] I was also discharged by Dr Wan whilst I was suffering with ileus. I had been complaining about the ileus and abdominal pain in the days before Dr Wan discharged me with my complaints all documented within my medical notes for the admission but I was totally ignored by Dr Wan. The abdominal pain on the first night at home after discharge was next level and I actually contemplated cutting myself back open to relieve the pain. Dr Wan put me into an MDT (multidisciplinary team) meeting at RHW and his paperwork (which also continued to contain an incorrect and embarrassing history - even though I had tried to correct things with him when I first became aware of the problem) indicated there was no input or discussion at the MDT from any other specialist other than himself. The RHW MDT with Dr Wan did not provide me with any personalised or individual care plan. Dr Wan didn’t discuss the outcome of the RHW MDT with me. I came across Dr Wan’s MDT paperwork when I went to my GP for something unrelated. I found this all so bizarre and so I organised another MDT at another cancer centre and from a gynaecological oncology team and it was so so much better than with Dr Wan at RHW. I had options (especially important as a young women diagnosed with cancer), it was patient focussed and comprehensive with medical oncology input including consideration of quality of life, and other testing, trials and studies. Unlike with Dr Wan that cancer centre team took the time to discuss the MDT discussion and outcome with me. With Dr Wan there didn’t seem to be any personalised approach to treatment or any discussion about how I felt, or what I wanted, and I felt like I was part of a flow diagram. It was always all rushed. I found Dr Wan did not take the time to listen to me. I felt I needed to advocate for myself. His approach caused me and my family so much anxiety. On one occasion he wrote to my GP misinterpreting the pathology reports and telling the GP that cancer had spread to other areas when it hadn’t. Based on my experience my strong advice to you would be to avoid Dr Wan. I felt very unsafe in his care the whole time.Three of Dr Wan’s doctor colleagues at RHW have on separate occasions apologised to me for my experience with Dr Wan. I complained about my care at RHW with Dr Wan as set out above, to Victoria Walton, Manager, Clinical Practice and Improvement SESLHD, I sent Victoria a detailed chronology with my concerns, in turn she responded with a one page letter apparently approved by the RHW Manager, Donna Garland which referred to ‘emails’ and did not identify or address any of my concerns. There was zero accountability or interest in improving care generally or outcomes for women with gynaecological cancer.

While the doctor in charge of the gynaecology pain clinic is a great doctor (& the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of wanting to give 0), everything else about this hospital that I've experienced has been horrific.... The most recent problem was when I arrived at the hospital for an appointment that had been booked for 4 months, & they turned around & told me that all the appointments had been rescheduled for that day, & that I had been sent a letter. Gee, if I had received a letter, would I have traveled over 2 hours on public transport to go to an appointment? And of course, you can't ring them to check up on appointments or anything, because the phone number goes straight to a voicemail, & they decide if & when they'll call you back....

Came here post-natal with mastitis. They gave me IV antibiotics and fluids. Midwives were incredible and helped me learn about preventing mastitis. In the delivery suite Jen was awesome, she even went back to grab my baby's blanket after I left it behind. Special thanks to Midwives Natacha and Edel, looking after me in the Oxford wing. Also was placed to see a lactation consultant about feeding and Patty is wonderful, feeling very confident. THANK YOU!

The birth of our daughter wasn’t straight forward but the staff (reception, midwifes, nurses and doctors) all had my wife’s and daughter’s best interests at heart throughout. Everything was explained appropriately, the choices made were ours to make based on accurate information and ultimately our daughter was born with numerous care providers working in an extremely attentive and professional manner. Recovery was equally excellent. We stayed in hospital for 3 days after and the advice from the midwives on how to care for our daughter was amazing. We learnt so much in such a short space of time and nothing was too much for them. If we needed anything, they were always there ready to provide! (On a side note: It frustrates me that people write 1 star reviews without contemplating the fact that medical professionals desperately want people to remain as safe as possible at all times. I understand that mothers have birth plans but sometimes it isn’t appropriate to follow what you ‘want’ to happen. The advice given is because the doctors, nurses and midwives (with vast experience) want you to be safe. To assume you know better than people who have trained for decades is extremely arrogant! Secondly, giving a 1 star review based on a specific individual or because someone was rude to you once, or parking for vehicles over 2m isn’t provided are terrible reasons for a 1 star. Be assured that the MEDICAL CARE at RHW is second to none!)

My partner and I had a great experience at the birthing unit with the birth of our first baby. Unfortunately I had to be induced and my labour was very long, but all the midwives who looked after us were very friendly and helpful. I had a great antenatal with my midwife, I couldn't get into into the Midwifery Group Practice so had GP shared care throughout pregnancy, which is in the end great as my doctor is now looking after my baby too. The postnatal service was excellent too, all the midwives who came to visit were very friendly and helpful.

A very belated thank you to the team at RHW - I couldn’t have asked for a better place to give birth or for a more supportive team. I felt like I was in safe hands all the way through my pregnancy, to delivery and post recovery. Particular thanks to my most wonderful midwife, Matilda who is an absolute gem! Thank you also to Kim D who single-handedly delivered my baby, to the midwives on the antenatal ward (Sybil and Julie), to the wonderful doctors and surgeons (Fiona, Anna and Louise), to the midwives on the recovery ward (Sarah and Claire). One year later and I am so grateful for the care I received at RHW, Thank you all!

We couldn't be more grateful to have been part of the MGP Program. Our midwife Natalia was so caring, knowledgable and experienced that we couldn't have asked for a better person to deliver our baby. It was refreshing to feel that birth was still considered a natural process and that my birth wishes were respected. My husband and I will never forget when our special soul was born in the birthing centre. During my pregnancy I also received support from some of the other midwives (Ella and Steph) who were also so lovely. All other staff around us during the birth were also so lovely and kind. I felt really safe and cared for. The midwifes are absolute goddesses and the provision and continuity of care provided by the midwives of this program is outstanding!

Fertility center has been an extremely terrifying experience for me. The poor management were incredibly frustrating. Despite ongoing bleeding since I began IVF, they simply referred me to a GP and said "your bleeding isn't our responsibility." Communication with the nurse was a nightmare. I found myself repeatedly try to contact the doctor but I can not. Two weeks later, I only receiveed the disappointing phone call from Dr that 'Your hormones are low, your IVF is canceled.' I had never heard IVF can be canceled one day but it happend to me. However, my primary concern was my bleeding. I bled for two weeks. One day later from that cancle call, I fainted out with vomiting at home. I had to call an ambulance, and I went to Royal Hospital emergency room. My hemoglobin was critically low at 67 (normal is 120). I received two units of blood transfusion, which brought it up to 84 but still not safe. Shockingly, I was discharged just a day later with this condition. Now, I find myself steal bleeding and seriously considering going to RPA Hospital instead of dealing with the frustration I've experienced here. The clinic seems to have a lack of empathy or concern for my well-being. I tried to report my condition during IVF but the doctor (who I had never seen during the two-week IVF process, cancled my IVF and also discharged me from hospital) dismissed it without truly understanding my situation. Even I sent her an email why I had to pause the IVF, but when I saw her for the first time in the emergency room, she simply said, "It wasn't wrong to cancel your IVF. Look how weak you are. You don't agree become a pregnant with this condition right?" They has left me feeling abandoned and frustrated. It feels like a complete waste of time.

I just finished a week long stay for chronic pain management on the Macquarie Ward in the Royal for women public hospital. The care and empathy I received from not only by my doctor and his team but the nurses themselves were exceptional. Just to name a few of these wonderful womenn. Thank you to Mary,Fiona,Freya,Regina,Gemma,Lilly,Hee, Emily,Crystal, Amelia and all the entire support staff at the hospital who interacted with me daily. It is the first time in a long time where I felt safe and heard in a new medical environment and never had the added stress of ‘fighting for help.’ I will definitely be returning here for treatment for now on and recommend it to anyone who has faced medical trauma as they had structures and systems in place that ensured you were in control and worked with the staff the entire time.

I have nothing but a praise to say about RHW. I gave birth on 19/12/2022 and the level of care, support and professionalism has been amazing. My pregnancy hadn’t been a smooth sailing so I experienced different departments throughout (triage, day care, doctors appointments, later lactation support) and have nothing but an excellent experience. Midwifes and nurses in the antenatal and postnatal wards were simply superb, really friendly and provided excellent support, guidance and reassurance. This was my first baby and if I have any more children in the future I will definitely choose Royal again.

This review is for Windscreens cafe: While this place has a good range of healthy food, some things really let this place down. Their yoghurt is revolting. Prices of some things are ridiculous ($6 for a glorified muesli bar!). Staff don't understand when you say you don't need cutlery or a bag, it's almost like they love producing rubbish! It's really frustrating when you have to assert almost daily that you don't want plastic (especially when my desk is close by) and they don't just 'accidentally forget', they INSIST that you need it.

Had a day surgery here recently, because of some minor complication I had to stay at the Macquarie Ward on level 2 overnight, the place is infested with cockroaches. 3 years ago I also stayed at this ward but different room, same problem. I will think twice of using my private health fund at this hospital next time.

My three children we born at RHW in Paddington (original site) and my grandchildren were born here at the new Randwick site history just goes on and on. There are not many public Hospitals in NSW dedicated just to Womens needs and birthing. The Royal is possibly one of the last of its kind to cater for this massive gap in our community.

Worst experience ever over the phone with rushed and rude staff and the phone line continually cutting out after waiting for 10 minutes at a time.

The staff here are so amazing. Have had ongoing pregnancy related complications for a couple of months, and each visit has gone smoothly, thanks to the team at RHW. Looking forward to coming back in happier times.

If you are coming on foot from Randwick Junction; you can take a short cut to the women's through the Children's Hospital, and cut about 800 meters off your walk! Lovely staff very helpful but this access point is not sign posted for some reason. Not everyone drives to the hospital, Admin please take note. Attaching a picture of the entrance to the Children's Hospital, go in there and just flow through the middle all the way to the women's hospital.

Chatted with Michelle from Malabar Midwives, and she was so patient, kind and understanding. Truly makes the difference to have the support of kind women like her during a pregnancy, when things are so stressful she was absolutely sweet.

Such an amazing atmosphere, they treat you like royalty, couldn't have asked for better. My daughter and I were in the best care. I had to give birth in Sydney royal and I think I will always come back there for future births ?

Had a great experience giving birth at the RHW, every staff member we interacted with was so friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend. Stayed for 2 nights post birth, we had brought plenty of our own snacks which was helpful, the food that was served at the hospital (Mum only) was good too.

We gave birth to our son last week at RHFW. I felt well looked after throughout my entire pregnancy (especially when I was diagnosed at ~28 weeks with gestational diabetes) & my induced labour. We were blessed with an amazing midwife for our labour & wonderful doctor when we needed extra assistance to deliver our baby. We also felt well looked after with post partum care. Thank you Meagan, Prof Lowe, Dr Lyons, Dannette, Dr Emer, Abbey, Katherine & Team for all your care & expertise!

I went to the RHW for an IUD insertion. I was pretty scared of the whole process based on so many stories I heard but the doctor and nurses were extremely helpful from the start. They were highly professional and very supportive. It was much less painful than I expected and they went above and beyond to help and support me

The service given by the midwifes, doctors and staff was more than expected, they are really professional and if you want to stay overnight helping your wife you can do it depending on your hospital cover. The car park is very handy as well. Thank you.

I had the worst experience ever going to a hospital that my friend had given birth on visiting hours, one of the nurses tells us to get out very rudely! And calls security for no reason! Disrespectful staff! Rued! Racist!

My wife and I had a good experience here with the birth of our first baby. The midwives are all very friendly and helpful. The antenatal and birth experience was great. We weren’t able to get into the Midwifery Group Practice even though we tried to enrol as soon as we could, and had to settle for GP shared care.

I just had a phone consultation with Julie Davis and she totally boosted my trust in this hospital! She was so kind and lovely, with a lot of patience, what I think is very big must for new moms to be! Soon I will visit hospital and midwifes in person, and she was my very first lovely impression! I totally wish that in every service we call, there is one Julie to welcome us! 🤗

The Asian customer service at the diabetic pregnancy area is very rude. She is keep saying i don't want to pay i don't want to pay without knowing what the issue is. We are the same asian but i feel shameful with this lady because she is a very rude person. I have been seeing her for about 10 times until now and she only being nice to me once. Thank you the bad customer service

I recently had to visit the hospital for an unexpected visit and surgery. My experience on the day was second to none. The staff were caring, considerate and incredibly helpful, that included the admin, support staff, nurses and all doctors. I am so grateful for their help, professionalism and support.

Had a 2 day stay with surgery. Absolutely wonderful hospital and staff. Very professional, compassionate and kind. Best blood test and cannula insert I’ve ever had. The staff were very understanding, the rooms were well cleaned and organised and general procedures were very respectful of patients.

Outstanding hospital and staff. I gave birth to my daughter here and everyone contributed to make my experience absolutely beautiful. A special shout out to my midwife Jo Thomas, the midwife and the student midwife Jane and Jo, who both assisted me during birth in every possible way, the midwife’s from the post natal ward Michele and Lay and the lactation consultant Kathy. Such caring, sweet and professional ladies. I would not have done it without you. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!! Michela

My wife and I had the most amazing experience through the midwife program. We had a magical unforgettable birth of our first child in our apartment. Through out the pregnancy we had a wonderful experience with our assigned midwife Natalia who is an angel, she was super helpful very informative and genuinely loves her job. As did the other midwives she saw on the od time Natalia wasn’t available. On the night my wife went into labour Melissa came out and guided us through the later hours of labour until Natalia join for the last couple of hours. Melissa is an actual angel also and made this experience the best thing to happen in my life. I can not recommend getting into the midwives program highly enough or organising a home birth!!! The care they both took was so gentle considerate, always asking permission before for touching my wife and making her feel so empowered to choose never forcing or over stepping any boundaries! The knowledge these woman have is stunning. The Midwives are there to help and guide you through the birth basically giving you as much or as little support as you need while in labour. Truly stoked with the out come and home much they helped after basically cleaning up everything and helping my wife into bed to rest. They hung around to do all the checks and make sure we’re safe and good to go. The continued support days after is so genuine and to see them so excited that our bubs and us are thriving is so awesome! Huge thank you to all the Midwives and support that goes into the Midwife program her huge love you amazing people! ❤️❤️❤️

Mostly great birth experience here! I was with the lovely Petra Fernandez from lavender Midwifery Group Practice who made sure our birth plan was communicated to everyone and did all my appointments throughout for continuation of care. Dr Bisits as the obstetrician who went out of his way to show he cares about his patients and their mental wellbeing as well as their physical well-being and truly living up to his stellar reputation. Julie and Felicity, Tully (hope that’s right!) Karen and Jen all of you were absolute gems, Katie and Sarah from the breast feeding unit you were both such fun, Hannah the paediatrician and I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten your name but the gorgeous lady who did the hearing checks and/or anyone else whose name I didn’t catch or possibly remember when everything got a little crazy on the day (things got a bit fuzzy for me and I don’t remember everything after I haemorrhaged). Biggest shout out to Lynn from the Paddington midwives group 🥰 you were just a true angel in the aftercare period, like the sweetest lady anyone could ever meet, myself and my husband just fell in love with you! Bron too! Overall I mostly felt informed, respected and treated with dignity for the experience and even though my birth definitely didn’t go to plan due to some emergency situations, contingency plans left, right and centre helped to make most of this experience liveable. Thank you everyone for helping us bring our beautiful baby boy safely into the world.

After experiencing a traumatic and life threatening birthing experience at Sutherland Hospital, I was very hesitant to give birth at a hospital again, so opted for a homebirth. However due to unforeseen circumstances it was necessary for me to birth at Royal Womens. Honestly this hospital gave me faith in humanity again and my birth and postnatal experience was literally more than I could have asked for. Each midwife throughout the entire process was respectful and kind, helpful and reassuring and made me feel so safe and well cared for. Thankfully everything went wonderfully and we had a healthy beautiful baby girl without any problem. Thank you so much for wonderful care 💗

I had my son here in 2015 and had an amazing experience. All of the midwives and nurses I encountered were wonderful. The group antenatal appointments were really good, it was so beneficial to have other first time mums due around the same time, meet up with midwives regularly. My delivery couldn't have been better and that's all thanks to the midwives. I am shocked at the poor rating and am annoyed after reading some of the reviews which are marking 1 star because the yogurt in the canteen is not nice or the cereal bars are expensive!
