This clinic saved me where others could not! I saw Dr Doan a few times about a recurring respiratory problem, for which I had also seen other doctors. So impressed with Dr Doan's knowledge and referrals to the right places, to correctly diagnose. I have been back to thank Dr Doan and continue treatment. Thoroughly recommend everyone ignore the negative comments in these posts.

Am glad there is such a clinic. We were able to talk to a doctor at 10pm on that day. The attending doctor explained what was required to relieve our symptoms which was much needed at that time.

Paid $80 to see doctor. Doctor (Dr Thai Doan) offered no help - told us to seek treatment as hospital next door. Asked to be refunded if he could not help - as we have to also pay at hospital. He agreed! Receptionist said it was impossible to issue do refunds to payments made by card. She said would make a note on file for a free visit next time. I was mad! I didn’t want to pay $80 when I did not recieve service. Doctor then said He would write a referral (in lieu of refund) that could be used at hospital for priority treatment and discounted Payment rates!! When I went to the hospital the told me that neither statement was true and I would pay full price and wait!! So not only did I not get service. I did not get a refund and I was lied to!! This is absolutely shocking! I will be seeking advice to file a complaint with Authorities. This doctor should not be allowed to practice. Unhelpful, Unknowledgeable and a liar!

Two things. 1. Called at 8:50pm and was told there was an appointment at 9:45pm. Turned up at 9:45pm and was made to wait for 40 minutes. How can they not know 55 minutes before an appointment that they are running 40 minutes behind? Tell me a realistic time - if you are running 40 minutes behind time, don't wait until I get there and read the little sticker on the receptionist desk that says 'there might be a 30 minute wait for phone and online bookings'. Maybe there was an emergency walk in bleeding to death but we didn't see them come in or go out, and it's 50m from ED. I think it's lazy and inconvenienced us a lot. 2. The doctor looked at our baby for about 30 seconds before telling us what he thought was wrong. He told us all about it and gave us instructions on how to treat it. However, after we listened to his spiel we pointed out the fairly obvious swelling eyelids and he changed his diagnosis and instead gave us a prescription. After making us wait 40 minutes, maybe the doctor could examine the patient properly and notice things like obvious visible symptoms. In this case it felt like they failed to diagnose our daughter properly. Hard to have confidence in the practice after an experience like that - unlikely we will be back.

Do not waste your time going to this clinic. I took my 18 month old to see Dr Thai Doan because of gastro symptoms, a high fever (over 40 degrees) and a history of secondary ear infections that appear and worsen very quickly. His consult was perhaps 2.5 mins long. He asked no additional questions once I mentioned the diarrhoea, fever and that I wanted to get her ears checked. Looked in her throat and in her ears (which was useful) told me she was fine, just needed to drink fluids because it was a hot day but that she looked like a very healthy baby to him. I think she probably just needs rest and fluids (so essentially agree) but have never seen such a brusque, non attentive GP. On the positive side we walked in and waited 2 mins only - but I think that speaks to the quality of GP.

Used to use this doctor often for me and my kids now not accepting medicare any longer.$90 each to see doctor. Unaustralian disgusting and sad will never come here again. Sad to see a helpful service be wasted. Best part is they used to be busy all the time now not one person going in and out a sure fire way that they will go out of business and it may get taken over by someone that cares. Will complain about this to canterbury hospital as it is a public hospital.

What a pathetic clinic. The doctor on duty came across as incompetent. Did not ask any questions and spent 3 minutes and 56 seconds in consultation and they charged me $90.00 just got a script to re-filled. Could not even process the rebate. In interest in your health stay away from this Medical Clinic. Wish I could give it negative stars an report them.

Always helpful and always willing to see me or my kids even in a case of emergency and no booking. Very happy with this place!

Just went to this medical cntr , couldn't afford the extra $90 they want to charge in top of medicare.left without any treatment not so much as a panadole. So much for duty of care. They only care about there back pocket . Other med cntr in area are not charging extras , go to 5hem

Came in as a walk in and was greeted with a friendly receptionist. Waiting area was nicely spaced out and facing a TV with Hamish & Andy which helped pass time. Once in, Dr Daisy was very efficient and accomodating of me, then provided aftercare instructions. Overall very good experience and would highly recommend.

We were waiting for half an hour to see doctor and went to ask to reception what was taking so long he was rude and said ask doctor it’s him not me very unprofessional.

A great clean place to visit . Great doctors and friendly staff .always try and squeeze you in. Best thing is only open at night and weekend while its convenient for working people

Came through on the 31/05 unfortunately did not make an appointment but was willing to wait in line. The receptionist received us with no compassion.. it’s a place where people come in who are SICK! We’ve come in from the cold .. I said hi.. I was nice… and SHE treats us like sheep! She had the audacity to show her power behind that desk. She did not speaks clearly, expecting me to understand her I’m sorry Her accent was thick. She must had a long night but she was not friendly at all. Rude and disrespectful. As she was doing all this she was asking for details, my 6yr old coughs and she cuts me off . And gave me THE AUTHORITY VOICE “ I notice she is coughing.. did she do a RAT test? We can’t allow her in because we have patients here and she will spread it to others” at this point I was just frustrated. I said is that it. We can’t go in. I said thank you . “MashaAllah next time be nicer to people!” I am the same faith as her.. she must check herself! Sister your attitude should reflect your hijab.! Pls pls review your staff. I understand that’s it’s a friend of a friend.. who got you the job… but pls.. retrain in customer service. Would have been different if she was nicer and apologetic.. I could book and come the next day.

We are appreciated to Canterbury After-hours Clinic service delivery. Specifically the girl (israt) who was handling resist patients keep continuing with smile face. Even to help parent waiting time informed before the queue, communicating with others and sympathise due to delays; which is magnificent and help us to wait without frustration.

They requested a $90 consultation fee. They only tell you when you get there. No mention of the fee was made when making the booking online.

My worst experience since my arrival to Australia almost 30 years ago. I was prescribed one day with Panadol for a condition I later need surgery

Called on a Sunday night at 10pm without an appointment. The receptionist asked for my name and to start making my way now. When I got there I only waited about 10-15 min before I was called. Dr R Ji was very helpful and she prescribed me what I needed. There was also a chemist open til late across the road which was perfect. I was relieved that any clinic was open at the time but was not expecting such fast treatment especially after seeing its mixed reviews. Overall a very good experience.
