I visited this place with some friends for a farewell during happy hour, and I must say the service was top-notch. The $5 beers were a steal, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Overall, a great experience, highly recommended!

Friendly staff. Could walked to chinatown. Comfy pillow and bed. Simple breakfast. Not maintained room bathroom as the glass table was tilted that we could'n't put anything on. Amenities were not quality.

Very nice boutique Hotel , room was very spacious, two large sliding doors lead out to a decent size balcony, free continental breakfast included in room rate , bathroom small but great water pressure ,would definitely recommend and would definitely stay at the Vulcan Hotel again

I recently stayed at the Vulcan hotel for a business trip and the experience was great. I booked for myself and two others and suggested the hotel to quite a few colleagues who also stayed here and were pleased. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Especially Lupita who was so helpful. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The hotel is near busy roads but you couldn’t hear a sound inside the rooms which is always great when travelling for work. We will be back here the next time we travel to Sydney.

This hotel is great value for money. It has everything you need in a fantastic location. It’s not a 5 star hotel but it has everything you need for this price point.

Great location as close to central and public transport to get around Sydney. The rooms where neat and clean. The happy hour for drinks is between 5-7pm where they didn't have any white wine in a small bottle. They had Gossip Sav Blanc which is a $2 bottle at best. The free included breakfast was okay as they had 3 types of cereal, yoghurt, toast, cold bacon 🥓, beans, and what looked like powdered scrable eggs 🥚. Plus orange juice, water 💧, tea 🍵 and coffee ☕️.

I have stayed here a couple of times and most recently at the beginning of December 2022. It’s a very comfortable hotel with helpful and friendly staff. It’s location is great for me as I can walk to many places. It will always be where I stay in Sydney.

Wow, what a hidden gem. Nice cosy hotel. Great service and breakfast. Very conveniently located near central station and spice alley (reason for our visit).

The receptionist ANJ, and the owner man and his wife made me feel like if I was in home. They’re classy people, kind, and nice. I just wish my room was bigger. Otherwise, the place reminds you about the classy old English/Irish heritage in a modern way. I truly enjoyed my stay here and I’d recommend the rooms located on the street because they have beautiful views!

Good location. The staff are friendly and nice, and the room has everything for staying. Doubleed window blocking the noise from outside which is great.

I wouldn't rate them as 4 star as its really not up to the standard. They checked me into a uncleaned room with single bed at first and had to come down to change the room again. And charged me for early check in which most hotels don't do that. Their complimentary brekkie also had cereal and nothing more. I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it doesn't have room service too. Never coming back to this hotel which charges an arm and a leg for a not a high quality service.

Overall experience was great! We stayed for 2 nights in a superior Twin room. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.The only downside was the breakfast on the 2nd day. Breakfast choices weren't living up to 4 star standards.

Nice staff, bed was well made and very comfy. Room was clean and well appointed. There's really only 2 big let downs that I think loses this hotel a star and those things are that the hot water only being "just hot" enough in the shower( but I do understand this could also be for safety reasons). The second is that there was no barista in the Cafe to make a decent morning coffee. The simple included breakfast was quite nice.

My stay in one of the "shoebox rooms" was very comfortable, quiet and great value. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The neighbourhood was cute and quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good for location in Ultimo. I'm glad they let me use my NSW Stay voucher. Rooms OK for the price.

I was given a ground floor room for 4 nights Let me say it wasn't ideal. Room was stuffy so had to sleep with noisy aircon on all night. (Overnight temp 23) Opening window not an option as it was facing footpath & for some reason it attracted smokers outside my window & ubereats deliveries guess co"s it was a corner room & next to laneway. No room service so had to buy extra toilet roll/ soap. I guess it was bad timing being 31 dec.-4th Jan. Clean enough so i will try again Easter time. Just my opinions good luck for 2022.

Dont look at the bad reviews that some people put on this hotel. They sometimes fake. Look at the real people that have visited the places and have many reviews on them ( as Google local guides ) This hotel is a perfect little getaway. I sent them email with requests, and the Manager and the team have completely done it perfectly to my requests. Me and my partner stayed there for a night to feel the city nightlife were very happy to get a great welcoming and helpful staffs from the owner that we saw in the morning at breakfast time, the chef at the café to the front desk ladies that greeting us with smiles. They were so good and kind. Feeling like we want to come there again whenever planning next Sydneycation. Room were tiny but cute, enough for me and my partner to sleep and relax having glass of provided red and white wine (extra charge) . Bed was comfortable, clean sheets. Bathroom has good water pressure and bathtub is a must when you stay here to soak up yourself after 15 minutes walk from busy Darling Harbour. Overall great experience . Lovely breakfast in the morning, maybe free coffee would be great for the hotel patrons 😊.

Great team, nice hotel, room was small but did offer all the amenities you might need.

We arrived late + were greeted warmly by the friendly woman who let is in. Room was nice, clean + compact (very reasonably priced) No wifi code given? Shower not very hot + was told by the chap on the desk that he'll look into it. Tried to use the room phone which was not working. Asked same man on the desk who seemed indifferent to my request. The three other staff we we encountered (all women) were very friendly + professional. Next time I'll spend a bit more $ on accomodation-the place felt a bit tired.

The photos they use online make it look nice and fancy but it’s really not. The rooms are tiny and a lot older. It so hard to get any service. The room that they gave me, the aircon was broken so had to sleep a cold room. It’s a good location but wouldn’t stay again.

Overall the ambience was inviting and the owner was very welcoming and hospitable. Definitely our first choice when we will come back to Sydney again.
