A nice place to have a sit down and get a slice of Australian Railway History with an array of books to choose from. It has couches and also a cafe inside. A must go for any railway enthusiast or for anyone who wants to know a bit of history.

Really amazing customer service by the young tattood person behind the desk! Was great in pointing me in the right direction for a train gift for my family! Will definitely come back

I am pleased to see this book shop returned to Central station where it is readily accessible to interstate travellers such as myself. Here there is an excellent range of railway (and related) books, not only on NSW topics, but interstate and overseas as well. On the day I visited (between trains from Melbourne and to Brisbane) there was a constant stream of browsers and customers. I purchased a couple of books that I had seen advertised in Railway Digest magazine, but was deterred from purchasing more by the high prices on them.

First time visit to the new premises. Great bookshop and study area. A few historical items on display too. Surprised to see a pair of ex New Zealand Railways Tyer's #7 tablet machines on site. They are easy to get working, team, how about it? No good them just sitting on trollies.

I love this bookstore. Cheap prices. Variety of genres. May not have all books by any particular author but what they have is great for your budget.

Violating The Nuremberg Code and telling those who object to them enforcing medical apartheid to β€œGo Away” I definitely don’t recommend anyone EVER shops here ever again. Typical Virtue-Signalling cowards

If you love trains this has to be the bookshop around. Heaps of DVDs as well. I found a few gems in the secondhand book area that had been out of print for ages.

Sells railway books (both new and 2nd hand) with a cafe. Good to see the railway memorabilia around the shop. Good for train buffs.

Train books galore! Shelves full of Australian, American and British railways. Equally impressive is their selection of second hand books as well as collectors editions.

Ventured into the new venue for the first time today. First impressions was that it wasn't very well lit and everything seemed somewhat disorganised in regard to categories.

The ARHS bookshop is a shadow of its former self since it has moved back into central station. The shop itself is a fraction of the size it used to be. And its range of books is severely limited to what it used to be. I went there over to weekend, to buy a book which normally, they definitely would have had. But the didn't. Would be better off buying online now.
