We had high hopes for this place as there was a bit of a lineup outside and reviews seemed decent. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, and we’re served pretty quickly after that. We ordered a mushroom pizza and the spinach avocado salad and both were just ok. The pizza was very basic and I’m not sure what it was but just was not very satisfying and I’m usually super easy with pizza. The salad was also very basic and was covered in what seemed like just bottled dressing (honey mustard type dressing). The staff were fantastic and friendly, but it seemed like this place is built to get as many tables turned as possible with mediocre food.

We had an extremely disappointing experience here. It took us a while to get seated despite the restaurant being 80% empty. The gnocchi was overcooked, bland, soggy and had the most basic tomato and cheese sauce for the price of $32. Seemed like store-bought gnocchi, which is understandable if you have staff shortages, but not worth it or just take it off the menu. The pizza was nice but everything else we had was severely underwhelming. Not only that, the manager did not attend to our complaints and was quite rude. When he finalised our bill, made a false claim about one of my friends saying they had seen my friend go here several times, when in fact this was the first time they had been to the restaurant.

The arancinis are the best I've ever had! My Italian friend thought so as well. I had a pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we weren't able to purchase wine so had to do BYO! I would definitely recommend a visit here.

A good place to have dinner with a big group of friends. Specifically if you have a fussy eater. The amazing price point and atmosphere is enjoyable. Must book on busy nights. We had Max (Massimiliano) looking after us and he was by far the best part of the experience. Very tentative and professional. The other staff was too busy running around but he always keep he focus on the consumer. Great guy! 5 Stars for max :)

The coffee was delicious! If you like meat you should be fine here. For me personally the portions were a bit too much. I would prefere more than just beef and fries... Felt like something to share and not to eat by yourself. The breakfast however was lovely! I would definitely visit that restaurant again to try out more dishes :)

Great food. I love their pizza and pasta. The ambiance is so unique. Pizza cooked in an old fashion makes it tasteful. Staff are all accommodating. Will recommend it to my friends and family. Coming back again soon.

Had celebration for graduation here with friends and family, all foods are great! Ordered garlic prawn and prosciutto pizza as usual and tried some new dishes, also tasted great. Love the special menu scallop, definitely will keep coming.

The best pizza I've had in a long time, absolutely delicious! Entering the restaurant we were greeted with friendly staff who sat us down. Unfortunately it was very cold at our table from the air con and we asked to move tables which was no problem. I had ordered the carnivorous pizza, full of meet and the dough was a treat! You can see the open pizza oven cooking behind the counters as you sit and wait. If we ever visited Sydney again I would definitely come back here. My only downside was the price. Maybe it is Sydney prices but I think 32 dollars for a pizza is a little high.

Very good italian restaurant. Great atmosphere. It is best to reserve in advance. Staff very kind specially Nadir and Sagar. Ask for them. Prices are well balanced. I went twice during my stay in Sydney. On my frst visit I ate a risotto. It was excelent. On my second time I ate a Pizza Napoletana. Although good it was a little bit salty. I recommend the restaurant

I'm not sure why this restaurant has such a high rating because my friends and I think the food is mediocre. We ordered the marinara spaghetti and prosciutto pizza. The pasta tasted homemade but lacked a rich flavor. The pizza didn't bring much surprise, it seemed like a regular oven-baked pizza. Nevertheless, the service is absolutely superb, and the staff are friendly and engaging! :)

We came here for the family lunch on our first day of SYD trip. Firstly the food was amazing. Very nice wood-fire pizza and pasta. The seafood pasta highly recommended! On top of that, More importantly, the service what we experienced from Max it was remarkable and unforgettable! Max served us the best way ever we could get. Because of his impressive service, we want to come back here again. Max made our day! 👍🙏🏼

Great service and food! I had the Spaghetti Alla Marinara and, though it wasn’t the best pasta dish I’ve ever had, it was still delicious. The pasta was al dente, the sauce was tasty, and the portion was huge! All dishes were actually very generous. We also had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon Fillet, which was a big piece of salmon, well-seasoned and served with a tasty mash and asparagus. I didn’t get to try the pizzas but also saw that they were big! For drink, I had the Lychee & Elderflower slushee, which was nice - sweet and refreshing :) The desserts might have been the highlight of our meal! They have a great selections of desserts, and we got the classic tiramisu, apple crumble, chocolate lava pudding and toblerone cheesecake. All were amazing! My favourite was the cheesecake - sweet and decadent. Would definitely come back to try their other cheesecakes!

I picked this place to celebrate My friend’s birthday and it is amazing. The food come in great portion, and also taste so good (highly recommended the risotto with white truffle). My table did call for staff quite a lot (for utensil and single items orders) but they always show up with the greatest service. The restaurant looks, and feel good, it isn’t too noisy (even during busy hour) and we can enjoy some private time together. Did catch the staffs’ names, but they were so great. One guy even say happy birthday to my friend, she loved it

Dined here today and was very impressed. Nice greeting on arrival. Service was great and the food was absolutely fabulous! Seafood was soft and cooked perfectly. pasta cooked al dente. Pizza was up there with the best wood fired pizza I’ve had. Glad we stumbled upon macchiato today. Only minor thing I will say is that the sticky date was a little dry and I think the sauce could improve slightly. Icecream was delicious though! Highly recommend!

This is my absolute go to place for any team event as it caters to so many dietary requirements and can accomodate almost all my requests in the past. Went there tonight and it did not disappoint- very efficient Maître D, lovely waitress, delicious food and amazing ambience. Everyone was having FUN!

Our breakfast experience on Sunday was exceptional. Our server Niko was incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful - high quality with generous portions. Had to return and try dinner Monday night, The restaurant had queues out the door, but efficient waitstaff handled everything exceptionally well. Was served by Max, and once again brilliant food and service. Highly recommend.

Really great food & service! Had dinner here twice while in Sydney and had a great experience both times. We had several pasta dishes, pizzas, salads and desserts and all were very good. They also offer vegetarian and gluten free pizza and pasta and both were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. We made reservations both nights which I would recommend as it can get very busy around dinner time.

This is some of the best Italian food I’ve had. When you first walk in the vibe of the restaurant is great, there’s nice decor, layout and muted lightning. The staff were lovely, seated us right away and offered us suggestions from the menu. The food was definitely worth the price, you get a good serving size and the food tasted AMAZING. The garlic crust tasted so fresh, I’d go back just for that. Will definitely be going again anytime I’m in Sydney.

Yummy pizzas and friendly staff. We came here for dinner one night. The staff welcomed us and we were quickly seated and served water. The waiter who served us was friendly and humorous, making the experience better! The restaurant feels quite upmarket and sophisticated, without being pretentious or unwelcoming. It was a good atmosphere with chatter, laughter and a sense of warmth. The menu had a good range of options, and had choices that could suit people with different dietary requirements. The pizza was quite nice and had a decent amount of fillings. I would definitely recommend !

If sharing, get the seafood platter for two. Enough to serve 4 people with a decent amount of seafood. Not to be confused with the BBQ seafood plate, which is good also, but not as impressive as the seafood platter. The waitress also confused those two. Pizzas are delish as well.

The staff were very attentive although it was busy. The food was amazing and flavourful. The atmosphere was loud with everyone talking so perhaps some better acoustics and maybe some music would help that. Overall I would dine again

This was my first time, and I will definitely be returning. The food was yummy couldn’t fault anything. Service was great (all the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming) atmosphere was great, it was a full house yet service stayed 5 stars! Thank you guys and will definitely see you again soon

Dinner: Food was fantastic! The waiter was always floating around, checking in on tables in case you needed them - but not in an overbearing way. Coffees & pastries: They give out cards to get reviews and in exchange you get a free coffee. Coffee was good, as was the cinnamon scroll, but the donut was incredibly dry and the jam was overly sweet.

Came in for an authentic woodfired pizza experience and that's exactly what we received! We didn't have a booking and arrived at around 6pm looking for a table for 2. We lined up and thankfully didn't have to wait long before we were seated. Our order consisted of 2 pizzas, the Tartufata and Carnivora. Both pizzas came out piping hot within 10 minutes or so and not burnt whatsoever. Kudos also to our waiter / server (who we didn't catch his name, but was a more elderly gentleman) who provided us with wet hand towels for our usage even though we didn't ask for any. We appreciated the attentiveness and service. A 5/5 experience for us and we'll be coming back in the future when we feel like another woodfired pizza adventure in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Macchiato Wood Fire Pizza and Coffee Roasters, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The Ortolana pizza was a work of art. The thin, wood-fired crust was perfectly crisp and had that delightful smoky flavor that only a wood-fired oven can provide. Topped with a colorful array of vegetables and fresh cheese, every bite was a burst of flavor and freshness. To accompany the pizza, I ordered the Feta Chips, and they were the perfect side dish. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the generous sprinkling of feta cheese elevated them to a whole new level. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the restaurant's ambiance was cozy and inviting. My experience at Macchiato Wood Fire Pizza and Coffee Roasters was nothing short of fantastic. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in a welcoming atmosphere, I wholeheartedly recommend Macchiato. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings.

Amazing, great vibe, the food is great, fresh, great number of choices on the menu. Nice desert options too. Very toddler friendly. Staff are quick and attentive, clean organised. Will definitely be back.

Have been to this place few times for Wood fire Pizza and always been satisfied with taste 😋, I have to say best pizza in town . Today , went for birthday dinner with my wife. And dining experience was really good, nice hospitality 10/10, food taste 10/10. The guy , I guess venue manager is always approachable and helpful once you step in . This evening, Wait staff Nerea , served us with good gesture and awesome service . Would definitely recommend the place for friends. Thank you 👍

We had the Mediterranean salad and garlic toast and the vegetarian pizza called ortolana. The server was kind enough to change the pizza sauce base from pumpkin base to a tomato base since we had few vegetarian options. The food was excellent and so was the service

Stopped by a couple of times while working around the corner, and noticed they had a $10 lunch special sign. For $10, you got a bowl of pasta or a small pizza with a drink, and really, for $10 you got a great hot meal with a cold bottle of coke that really hits the spot. The pasta dishes were excellent and the pizzas were really satisfying. For a $10 takeaway, I think you can't go wrong!

Had been in Sydney for a week and kept noticing a long line outside of this restaurant so decided to give it a try. The Antipasto for 2 is a half love half not so kinda of mix, but the Garlic and Rosemary crust is heavenly delicious. The pizza is great but not surprised. Overall a wide variety of choice for you to select from, great for groups and family when each desire something different …..

I would say it was a 3.5 ⭐️ rating experience. Dropped by for a quick coffee and cake. Was greeted by a server, and after getting seated, a friendly server immediately brought some water and the menu. The menu clearly said the deserts are served either with cream or ice cream. The server didn't bother to ask my preference and my desert came with streaks of chocolate syrup only so there goes my disappointment 😞. Coffee was not as hot as I would like it to be. In the end, the damage was 50 cents short of $20 for a slice of cake 🍰 ($15) and ☕️ coffee ($4.50). Perhaps it is the going rate for CBD, but it certainly wasn't "to die for" kind of experience for me to want to return for more desert.

Busy restaurant in the city, particular in the Sunday evening when many other restaurants are all closed on Sunday. Spaghetti is good but the mussels are over cooked, hard to find out the meat in the big shells. Salad is a bit rough , piazza is common.
