The location is beautiful, the view here in the afternoon is extraordinary. Always busy on weekends. Especially during the fishing season, transactions of various fish are carried out on the side of the road. On the other hand, this dam actually has the potential to help solve the energy crisis. The water flow can be used for hydropower. In August 2018, the surrounding area will be converted into a venue for the straw statue festival. It is carried out a week and is scheduled annually.

Great view. But unfortunately it's still not neatly arranged and there are still many village thugs who worry tourists.

A very good location for traveling, of course it would be even better if supporting facilities and infrastructure for visitors were added, it still needs a lot of additions or improvements to make it a mainstay of East Oku tourism.

Perjaya Dam is located in Martapura, the capital of East OKU Regency, which has the main function of irrigating rice fields in the surrounding area up to Belitang. The water that flows into this dam comes from the water flowing from the Komering River. This dam is also very interesting to visit as a tourist destination, only 15 minutes from the city. Martapura, with the Pejaya Dam, makes East OKU the largest rice producer and the largest rice field area in South Sumatra.

The Perjaya Dam was built in the New Order era and is the longest in Southeast Asia. It can irrigate thousands of hectares of rice fields in the OKU EAST district, which is a rice storage area and is included in the National Food Reserve. Unfortunately, when it joined the OKU government before the expansion of the Axis Road (owned by the Provincial Government, it had not been built to its full potential) if The provincial government is really prioritizing the construction of this road and connecting it with the East Cross Road of OKI Regency, it is certain that the economy of this area will grow quickly and has the potential to be an area that can be used as a model for districts throughout South Sumatra.
