Great beach. Unfortunately, today with a sad story: A man died at the beach, after the life guards worked hard to get him back to consciousness. I just want to express my utmost appreciation for those (probably volunteer?) life guards who have to face such a sad moment of losing a person while trying to rescue him. And all the other beach guests are still playing and enjoying.: Life guards of Plage du Verdon: Keep the spirit up, you're doing a great job!

Beautiful beach! It wasn't too crowded when we visited which was nice and I was able to get some nice pictures of the view.

Water is very clean and warm. There are a couples of cafes, toilets and shower boxes, so this place is very comfortable. However, there are often many yachts and other vehicles nearby, so it’s a bit irritating, especially if you swim far. And the beach is overcrowded every weekend.

If you’re looking for a large sand beach near the Marseille city this is the best choice for you. Not only the beach is a cool place, it’s also located in a cure little city. It has a huge open parking area very close to the beach. You should bring your sunscreen and other necessities with you because the prices here way too high.

Guter Strand. viel Platz. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Etliche Restaurants und Geschäfte. WC‘s und Duschen vorhanden. Klares Wasser.

Nice sand and clear water

Ein toller sauberer Strand mit klarem Wasser. Am Wochenende allerdings sehr voll.

Top Strand, sauber mit Restaurants, Bars, etc. Preise moderat. Genug Parkplätze.

Klarer kann Wasser nicht sein. Aber unbedingt Sonnenschirm mitnehmen, sonst nicht auszuhalten. Auch für Kinder gut geeignet, geht Flach ins Meer. Duschen und Sanitäranlagen gibt es genügend.

Ein sehr schöner sehr ordentlicher Sandstrand. Hier lässt sich Zeit toll verbringen.

Schöner großer Sandstrand, leider viel zu viele Menschen. Immer mal wieder wird Müll einfach achtlos weggeworfen. Es gibt Duschen und ein Bistro. Strandpreise.

Kleiner Sandstrand, der den Küstenweg mit Imbiss und Restaurant unterbricht. Feiner Sand.

The beach itself looks nice and scenic. Unfortunately it is extremely packed with irresponsible crowd, smoking, screaming, littering, listening to loud music and ignoring social distancing. Very disappointing. Could be a nice place.

Great free beach and well organized. Large parking at reasonable price with direct access to the beach. Sandy beach and clean water. Life guards actively checking all day. Showers and toilets available. Few shops selling beach products (toys, cloths etc), fast foods and ice cream shops to eat in or take away. Large beach to play sports with friends and free volley ball nets for groups. Next to the life guards tower you can rent beach umbrella and sunbeds for the whole day. In the same place you can rent pedal boats. Recommended to locals and tourists, my suggestion is to get there in the morning as it can get crowded.
