Best sake around ! The owner is fantastic. The saké is excellent as well as their strawberry alcool. You must their saké ice cream it’s most excellent. They also do cosmetic and its amazing! A great stop and really worth coming. Very fantastic

An award winning local sake brewery that brews Sanran & Bo brand of a Japanese Sake in Mashiko town which is open to the public most days. You can walk through the display area and browse the gift shop and have sake tasting or drink coffee brewed using the same natural water used for brewing the sake.

Nice cafe at Sake Making place. I ordered ice coffee. They serve drinks with Mashiko ware. It was very good. Sake cake was good, too. The sake display was beautiful.

Really nice sake brewery. Tasted a very nice junmai daiginjo and also picked up a few small bottles to drink. If you are in the area definitely a nice place to visit if you like sake. Will definitely come again the next time I am in the area.

Received warm welcome and a very informative tour around sake distillery. Though I was driving, I enjoyed very much the ice cream (so good) and coffee, made with the water used for Sake (they are from underground). Worth visiting. Suggest to try a costume for the photo.

Incredible sake distillery with many different types of sake and liquers. Informative exhibition (some English leaflets available) showing sake process/history of the 70+ yo company, with additional activities (participating in the sake brewing process yourself!) available at additional cost. Highly recommend the sake tasting, sake ice cream (unique taste!) and yuzu liquor! Cafe decor is also nice place to chill, super chic.

This brewery is AMAZING, so warm and welcoming. The tour and tasting room are wonderful and of course, most importantly the Nihonshu and related spirits are delicious. The owners are kind and welcoming and all the staff are passionate about the history and tradition of brewing Japanese rice wine. Spend a day in Mashiko and be sure to come to Tonoike!
