I have ordered kottu from these people from the very beginning of their business. Their kottu used to be the best in the town those days. But in recent times, their food is not that good. Food is too spicy and the unique flavor they had was now gone. Last week I ordered a BBQ chicken kottu and with that I got a rotten chicken leg. That was so gross and chicken had a bad smell. I informed them and they offered me a free kottu and I asked them to make it an egg kottu as I had no faith with their BBQ chicken kottu anymore. I will never order any food from them ever. PS: I got to know that their main chef has moved to Matara Solis Hotel(IINM) and I think that is the main reason for not tasting the food as they used to be.

Highly recommended for Kottu. Prices are reasonable, taste and portions are satisfying. Dine in option available upstairs and service was good 😊👍🏼

Best seafood cheese Kottu and pasta. They have a good parking place. Very best Kottu and is also a bustling place. The staff was amicable.

We take cheese Kottu and it was not cheese it was milk. Look like not fresh. For this price they can put real cheese. Guy totally not response when we say that it’s totally not good. We not finish food cause it was terrible. Not reccomend this place for this money.

Ordered a cake shake and was given a milk shake and even that tasted watery. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The worst part was denying all these when complained 🙄

I am a regular customer at Kotthu factory. In the begining food and service was really great and recently both food tase and service has come down to a poor level. We need the quality you provided in the begining. Please consider this since your customer base depends on your quality. Thank you.

We have ordered seafood kottu and chicken rice, both are large portions. The worst seafood kottu I have had and portions were WAY TOO small for the money

Worst ever chicken kottu i tasted here. I would call it chilli kottu rather than chicken kottu because it contained too much chilli and hardly any chicken. Did not feel any taste except tougue burning. It is too sticky. I have never seen sticky chicken kottu anywhere else. Place has no parking. Dining area was ok but it was too hot. Had ac machines but not working. Imagine eating to too spicy kottu sitting in a hot room with no ventilation. Pathetic. This is my last visit here. They used to be ok in the past now its worst. Rs 900 per larger chicken kottu. Portion was quite big. Served without delay. Place was clean and nicely arranged. Saw some people coming to this place for small celebrations. Im adding this after seeing the response from the owner. Dear owner, I did a honest review on my point of view comparing other restaurants i have visited. If this is your way of making kottu that is totally fine. Hope there are bunch of people out there who like this "uniqueness". I generally do not tolerate spicy food. So after few bites i gave up on your meal. But my wife consumed little more than half the plate. She usually like spicy foods. But in this case even for her this was too hot. If you have cctv on dining area you can see there were few girls sitting next to our table who ordered same item. They kept running to tap to drink water several times because it was too hot for them also. Please have a look at my bill. Im uploading it now. Where on earth have you mentioned it as daiya or extra spicy one. We just asked we need a chicken kottu larger portion. Thats all we asked. At that time also we were not told this is an extra spicy one or anything special. Yes i parked my car infront of a private house which is next to your place. I do not think road side parking does not count as a parking space reserved for your restaurant. Also that road is not wide enough where you can comfortably park your vehicle on road side without disturbing other drivers. Regarding AC, if you do not promote air conditioning in your restaurant that also fine. But i mentioned what i felt. It is really nice if you use them since there is no proper ventilation and too hot inside. May be you are still adhering to covid restrictions. That could be the reason i guess. Finally i must say i did a constructive criticism on my point of view. Anyway i hope you pay attention on other recent bad reviews as well and improve. Good luck.

I gave them a 5stars on my brothers account for the first time that I bought the chicken kottu from them which was excellent. However the second time i tried the cheese chicken kottu which is too sweet as other reviewers say, don't know how to describe the taste really really terrible, ate only two spoons of it and throw away the rest and the price was too expensive 700/-. I think you guys MUST change the recipe since you get many bad reviews specially because of the cheese kottu, im not a picky person that always complain and i have tried cheese kottu from many other places, this is really a bad meal. I recommend the cheese kottu at keells next door which was excellent.

I don't know whether the food here is regularly good. But I had a cheese kottu for a staggering Rs. 800 which literally had no taste. So, for my experience, It's really bad

Name is awesome but taste is not good as I expected. Coz Salt in kottu is very excessive than the normal taste of kottu. Not Recommended at all. Price is too high tho. Don’t waste your money.

A really good place to have a meal with a variety of options to try including rices and kottu. The food seems to be free of artificial flavours and the ingredients seem to be of very high quality. The prices are a bit high but the place is upscale and the staff are really friendly and courteous. The quality of the food is noteworthy. The portions are big and really tummy filling 🙈

I visited this restaurant on 29/07/2023 at around 10.30am with my Girlfriend. I placed an order of Mixed Rice full at that time. However, the person at the cashier accepted the order, But a person working in the kitchen came and said the following. "You can't get it right now. By the time it is set it will be at least 11.30am." (දැන්ම ගන්න වෙන්නේ නෑ.😠11.30 වත් වේවී හදලා දෙද්දී..😬) . At that time I felt like I had just gone to eat with his money. We did not get good service and smiling reception from them even after ordering food by paying money. I immediately explained the situation to them and left with the hope of never come again. I ate here when I visited Matara for almost two years. Such a heart-wrenching incident has never happened before. I do not recommended to anyone. Thank You.

I tried the sea food fried rice . Overall it was great portion is normally enough for two people. But for hungry thts not enough it will cost around 550lkr.. These guys provide delivery for dinner.. not much oil in the food. Thats a good sign.. its better if they could accept visa card via delivery

I told the cashier and they gave me a seafood kottu again,but there were also a few hairs. 🤮I was a customer watching their food on instagram.
