Nice taproom. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. Beers were excellent. The grape beer was surprisingly good. There is limited space by the bar but more seating on the second floor. A cozy spot to make new friends over some good beer. Another must visit in my books when in Matsumoto.

The best place to stop by for beer lovers! The tap room is a bit small but they have an upstairs as well. On tap they had 5 beers and a hop cider. The bar tender was very lovely and cheerful, enabling a conversation for all guest at the bar. If you're curious about trying fantastic Japanese beer you should definitely go there. If you can't drink so much, don't worry! You can buy bottled beers as well and take them home or have them send to you.

All four of the beers available on draft were very good: two IPAs (one strong, one micro), one stout, and one unusual but nevertheless good grape ale. English-speaking, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Without doubt, amazing locally brewed craft beer. The Grape Ale was exceptional, the Scotch Ale was unique and worth your while. Everything on tap you can try for free. Downstairs bar filled with locals, upstairs seating area a little bit awkward, but fine. The staff were welcoming and fun.

It's a small place, but really welcoming. The owner speaks pretty good English and the draft beer is great! We had a dark castle stout that was delightful, the owner let us try a bunch of beers.

Four beers on tap - we had a pale, a wheat beer, and one of the IPAs. Didn't try the stout but all three others were aromatic and with quite a bit more body when compared to other Japanese beers - a great pit stop for craft beer lovers. Matsumoto Brewery certainly love theirs!

Definitely stop here if you’re in Matsumoto! Great beer in what seems like a refurbished old house. About ¥1000 for a pint.

Friendly staff who speak English. Great local beer. Have a few of the incredible IPA's and you'll be on your way. Would recommend for anyone who likes craft Beers.

Very quiet on a Friday afternoon, 5 beers on tap, some bottles but no stout, had an ipa, not normally my thing but tasted nice enough.

Very cool place with a great vibe, great selection of beers. Significant difference in price between craft beers and bottled beer (cheaper option). It can be very busy, they take cards and they speak a bit of English

Tasty beers and cozy atmosphere. I really loved the workers at this place they were super nice. I accidentally dropped my beer cup (which was almost empty) on the table and one of the workers came to assist without my asking and gave me a free full cup of the same beer. I begged to pay for this but she didn’t want me to.

The most anticipated stop on our trip to Matsumoto, I was a bit disappointed by the service. The staff was quiet and didn’t seem to be keen to converse about beer. Only one staff on on a Wednesday afternoon where she went up to the third floor and couldn’t hear customers on the first floor that we (customers) had to help get her attention and help with the service. Otherwise the beer was decent.
