Some may say that the theater should be about plays, actors, drama etc. They are right. No one argues. Anyway, the theater is also about the service. If you purchase the ticket you must be told about specifics. So, the theatergoers should be notified that IF YOU ARE 5 MIN LATE, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE THEATER due to the peculiar construction of the stage. This statement must be written on the ticket whether you buy it online or not. What is the basic rule of economics. The customer must be satisfied. Nothing personal, just business. Before making a decision to buy, I have to know the specific rules to follow and obey. If I have negative experience, I don't buy again and inform my friends to avoid the venue. As simple as it is.

I was in deep excitement when I visited this theater. First of all, location is near to Moscow city, in another bank of Moskva-river. During the evening beautiful view opens into the river and tall towers. Secondly, atmosphere and architecture are so unique that you fell in love in the place. There are lots of images, pictures and historical documents aka a little museum. Thirdly, actors and plays are intriguing, realistic and at the same time with plenty of humor. Definitely, you should visit this theater. P. Fomenko dedicated his soul to create such an aspiring place. Come earlier that theater starts so you could have more time to walk around the building and wonder the exponents that it has.

Very nice theater, unfortunately the ticket purchase experience through official website is awful. The kids' performance Alice Through the Looking Glass is very Soviet style, but very colorful at the same time. Never agree to the tickets on balcony, it is so high up one can barely see anything on the stage.

It reminded me of the Moscow theaters in the 80th. When we loved it... Then it all broke down... My recent visit gives hope it is really in recovery (remission)

Small old building with bad air ventilation. The show was delayed by 20 minutes while staff was trying to sell theater programs. The show also was not good.

Wonderful performance, really enjoyed it. For those who don't speak Russian they offer audio translation kits. The city view from the theatre balcony is a great bonus.

One of the newly born theatres of Moscow, opened in 1993. Fomenko Theatre is an experimental venue of intensive creative research drawing inspiration from Russian classics.
