This
place
could
have
been
straight
out
of
Gordon
Ramsay’s
kitchen
nightmares.
Went
here
for
a
quick
coffee
and
toastie,
and
saw
a
long
line.
This
place
was
a
logistic
mess,
with
the
staff
frantically
trying
to
catch
up
on
orders.
It
was
bizarre
-
there
was
absolutely
no
customer
service.
The
staff
made
no
eye
contact
or
acknowledgement
of
any
of
the
customers.
The
barista
behind
the
counter
looked
incredibly
stressed
out
and
kept
saying
to
the
other
staff
that
the
coffee
would
take
a
while,
but
there
was
no
communication
to
the
long
queue
of
customers.
The
cashier
was
a
young
child
who
clearly
didn’t
want
to
be
there
(and
I’d
guess
was
roped
into
this
by
the
owners),
and
literally
didn’t
say
a
word
while
taking
orders.
We
ended
up
leaving
after
waiting
30
minutes
for
our
coffee,
having
paid
but
ultimately
deciding
to
get
a
refund
was
more
trouble
than
it
was
worth.
To
the
owners,
I
would
suggest:
-
don’t
force
the
kid
to
work
here
when
they
clearly
don’t
want
to
be
here.
-
designate
someone
to
actually
talk
to
the
customers
-
reduce
the
number
of
menu
items
when
understaffed
to
simplify
operations
There
are
plenty
of
great
cafes
nearby,
we
just
got
unlucky
with
this
one.
We
ended
up
going
to
Bird
the
Word
a
block
away,
which
served
us
coffee
within
a
few
minutes
of
ordering.
