Worst riad in the city of Fes. Negative points: - Very bad and unfriendly service. - Poor breakfast. - No breakfast was offered for our last day, even though we paid for it. - Dirty room. - very bad smell of humidity in the room. - old and falling apart fourniture in the room. - the room's fridge wasn't working. - the room's door was very fragile and could be broken with a single push, gave us a sense of insecurity, especially at night. - We had to wait for 10 minutes before someone opened the door for us. - Very old tv in the room that didn't work in the beginning, we had to ask the reception to come and fix it for us. - Hot water wasn't available at the beginning. - Didn't want to give me my payment receipt. Positive points: - Close to the old medina. In conclusion, I diffenety don't recommend this riad for the visitors of this beautiful city.

We arrived late on a Thursday night from four days in the Sahara without a booking, but the staff were extremely welcoming. When I woke up the next day with a very nasty cold, the management went to great lengths to look after me, upgrading our room, offering a private doctor and bringing me breakfast in bed. The Riad and rooms were spacious, stunningly beautiful in the traditional style, and I had a wonderful hammam and massage on the last day. The new manager Muhammad even drove us to the train station complimentary. I highly recommend this riad!

Upon arrival, we waited at least 15 minutes before someone finally came up to us to help us. There was no one in the lobby or around. There is nothing I can say that I liked about this place. The overall experience was nothing like anything we had at any other Riad or Hotel during our 10 day trip in Morocco. The manager (Iman) was absolutely dreadful. Not only did she say that she has no idea who we are and was not expecting anyone, after she finally find our reservation, she proceeded to push us to purchase excursions and such through this Riad and becoming rude and angry with us when we advised that we already had other arrangements. She was not helpful at all. Rooms were dirty and falling apart. 5 out of 6 people in our party could not take a shower. During breakfast we were served butter packages that, when opened, had mold in them. Unfortunately, the owner of the hotel was of no help either. When he found that we no longer wanted to stay for the remaining second night we had pre-booked, he got extremely upset and at some times even threatening me. Aside from the owner and Iman - Hassan, Saleh & Hamza were delightful. They tried to make our very limited stay accommodating. We were a family of 6 travelling through Morocco for 10 days and we had the best experience in 6 cities with some of the kindest most welcoming people except for this place. I would not recommend this place. Wish I could give it a no star.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the warm hospitality of everyone at the Riad Ibn Battouta, especially the lovely Iman, gracious Hassan, and Iman's brother, who took us on a terrific tour of the Cedar Forest. We highly recommend this Riad also for its traditional beauty and excellent cuisine ! It is also a convenient location to walk to the sights of Fes. 5 stars, and smiling thinking back about our wonderful visit.

Excellent service provided by the staffs who went the extra mile to provide comfort to us, a true testament of Moroccan hospitality. The riad is also wonderfully designed and we were transformed to a magical new land which allowed for great cultural immersion. Also enjoyed the scrumptious Moroccan delights served for dinner

The staff can't do enough for you, the food was the best Moroccan food we had tasted. The room was very clean. A truly deserved 5 star rating.

The Riad is too noisy the owner takes her kids to the street to play it is a very small street which makes it very noisy even the neighbors were complaining about the noise as it was late at the evening the interesting point is that the owner was fighting with the neighbor without respecting that there is guests inside that needs a quite and comfortable stay Very poor management I donโ€™t recommend there are so many Riads in the same neighborhood with better management and better service

Great place, very authentic and pretty. A little confusing parking as you need to park outside, but stuff is very helpful to find where to go. Special thanks to Hossain, great guy and amazing host!

"new owners" wouldn't honor obligation hotel owed us for poor service from staying previously. Tried to call and email before arriving and no response. We were turned away with no offer of a room.
