I came for the first time in my life to Marrakesh, Morocco for a conference, I asked for a single room because I am single, I received a huge room with a lot of space and a terrace with a nice view. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly and it felt so good. Also the environment was great in the hotel and also every place I visit in Morocco. The food was good and tasty and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend this hotel and looking forward to visit Morocco again.

Nice hotel, doesn't seem 5 star though. We had a room with a beautiful view but changed it to have a room with a walk in shower. The shower in the first room was a bathtub with a hose spray but it wasn't mounted on the wall so you'd have to hold it the whole time you showered it was weird. I have long thick hair and it would've been impossible for me to wash my hair. Other than that the room was quite nice. Food was not that good either unfortunately. Oh and they don't provide irons so after unpacking if you must iron your clothes, you actually have to pay like 100 mad for *them* to iron one shirt, wild. Hammam was decent

Excellent destination, the hotel is very well maintained with high skilled and kind staff from the reception to the room services. We had an upgrade as gift! I surely recommand for couples and famillies ; the kind of hotel that make shine our Moroccan hospitality.

The hotel is nice with a beatiful garden and good breakfast. However there was an extra charge of the room with pool view, without mentioning at the time of booking. Room was not ready at time of my arrival and we changed 3 rooms, until we find a room according to our booking.

Booked this with BA. Although facilities are a little dated I loved how big my room and bed was (stayed in the deluxe room with garden view..... wasn't much of a garden view and the balcony had a table with no chair which was a little annoying), Room was clean. It was all inclusive. Food was hit and miss, most of the staff are helpful and approachable (catering staff) some not so much (the reception). The hotel is in a somewhat isolated area, no shops around just other hotels but it's about 10-15mins in a taxi to the square and I believe they have shuttles but I never used it during my stay. Overall I had a good experience and will likely stay again.

If you want to avoid wasting your money, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The bathroom is unclean and infested with ants and their eggs, which is highly unsanitary. Moreover, the rooms are poorly constructed, with flimsy doors instead of proper walls, resulting in excessive noise disturbances. The beds are of the lowest quality imaginable, making noise even with the slightest movement. While the pool staff and room cleaner are pleasant, the receptionist treated us with utmost disrespect, making us feel like prisoners. On top of that, the receptionist treated us with utter disrespect and suspicion. As we were leaving, she made us wait while she checked if we had stolen or damaged anything, This hotel falls far short of its claimed 5-star rating and can only be considered a 3-star establishment at best.

Very luxurious. The rooms have a Moroccan luxe vibe and are very big, and the wifi worked well. The pool is absolutely massive and allowed me to do laps in the morning. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and incredibly varied. They also offer a free shuttle into the medina four times a day - so even though it’s far out of the city, it’s easy to get around.

Read before booking! So we stayed here last year and know the standard it was! This time around room 234 at the end just felt noisy. Got woken up most nights with front doors being slammed etc. the mattress in the room along with pillows didn’t feel comfortable! The A.C seemed outdated analogue type was either full blast or nothing! The carpet in hall ways to room had stains just a lot of updating needs to be done which you notice! If you walk around your room without slippers on you will ruin your socks! The balcony had cigarette butts from Previous guests and other mess so we didn’t use it. *service wise reception check inn takes around 30+ mins a lot of unnecessary waiting around no urgency that hasn’t changed since the last stay! Service around hotel the towel stuff around the pool and waiters in the main restaurant seemed friendly. But rest areas overall needs improving no one checked in on us to see if we was satisfied with our stay in the past from other hotels we have had guest relations! The music around the pool was sporadic at best sometimes it was on and other days nothing! No more floating bean bags in the pool! Now you have to leave £25 deposit per pool towel card! We just had breakfast basis and one of the days asked for a bottle of water around the pool which we got charged for! Come on it’s just bottled water should be supplied to guests! Whilst laying around the pool no one ever asked if we wanted any water just things like this need attention! Breakfast wise- usual stuff with egg station and Moroccan pancakes! One thing which is bizarre it’s a Muslim country 99% of the breakfast is halal yet they decide to serve **pork bacon!!! Anyone coming to Morocco does not expect to be eating pork this was so morally wrong. why they can’t have turkey bacon like all other Muslim country hotels is beyond me. The salads could do with chefs actually making nice salads rather then leaving out sorry looking cut salad! Overall i was disappointed having stayed before there was no loyalty shown from Hotel for our return! Sadly we wouldn’t return after experiencing these issues. For anyone coming to stay here first time you will be fine but not for us noticing and experiencing previous visit. I hope senior management see this review and address these issues. Hotel is 3*** at best in my opinion now.

The BEST hotel ever! The staff and food here is amazing! Everyone is so helpful and the truly exceptional! The Managers Aziz and Abdurahim welcomed us and throughout our checked if we were ok, their hospitality and care with great attention to meeting your every need is by far the best we have experienced! Facilities are very well maintained and hygiene is 5*! Local amenities and a daily shuttle bus helps you explore the beautiful surroundings and Markets! We enjoyed swimming and daily aqua aerobics with the super motivating and amazing Muhaad! The atmosphere in the evening with great food is magical. A great singer and DJ Waleed will have you singing and dancing!

Definitely not a 5* hotel. The rooms are large and well laid out but that's as far as I can go with the good points. The room had coffee and tea but no milk and very little water with no extra being given when asked. In a country where you can't drink the water in a 5* hotel. 1 tiny bottle per person is not acceptable especially when charging 6x more for bottled water in the hotel shop. The gym is not only badly equipped and over worn it is dangerous as 98% is broken and the other 2% is over used. The indoor pool is not very clean with broken tiles and badly done repair jobs. We stayed in 4 other riads in Marrakech and was here for 3 nights for work purposes. Here was the worst reception staff being rude and unhelpful. The hotel is located 15 minutes from the main centre and a free shuttle bus runs every 2 & 3 hours and finishes at 7pm which is just ridiculous meaning you have to take a taxi The breakfast on all the days was cold, badly made, poor selection, not fresh and some items uneatable. The worst orange juice tasted, terrible coffee. I didn't find one plate or cup without crack or chips in them and on one day no coffee cups that a colleague had to have coffee from a bowl. Poor food on evening business function and terrible lunch provided. Wouldn't like to see this hotel in the high season as barely functions in low.

The first time for us in this beautiful palace, the hotel is very clean with a huge rooms and a great vue to a nice garden. The buffet was amazing varied and delicious, a great service, specialy the pastry. I would thank the responsible of entertainment CHAIMA for her humor, mortivaition and been very attentive, we had lot of fun, without forgetting mehdi and the DJ. Thank you all.

Great place to stay, work and leisure both can go hand in hand. From the time you enter the lobby you know it’s great place to stay spacious room and bathroom. Garden facing rooms are very relaxing and has direct access to the pool from the backside. Only thing room service need to buck up if you need something from room service require to give a 30 minutes notice to them.

Exquisite ,luxurious hotel with top tier hospitality and service! Great for workshops too .Best views , refreshing pool and spa services. Had a great time with a live band performance on Friday evening… not forgetting the wide selection of buffet food and drinks

Overall, a pleasant stay. Would not class it as a 5* though. When checking in, we were made to wait a long time and felt quite ignored. Didn’t feel like 5* service. There wasn’t a long queue and the staff didn’t seem to be prioritising us at all even though they started check in. The room was lovely, huge comfy bed and spacious rooms. We did however expect a second double bed as there were 3 of us booked into this room, instead staff brought up a single, fold out guest bed which was not comfortable and not what we felt we had paid for. The mini fridge did randomly stop working though. The pool was fantastic, so clean and even when it was busy, there was so much room all of the time. Pool bar was very slow service, but they were friendly. The location was ok if you don’t mind taking transport into the city centre, which of course we knew we’d have to. I didn’t like that you could only exit the hotel on foot through the front entrance, so when wanting to walk to the local shopping centre, we had to take such a long walk around when there could be several exits/short cuts easily available. This made it hard work. The breakfast was really nice although food items need to be labelled as I didn’t know what a lot of things were. The buffet was really poor for the price. Definitely not 5* food. Was a nice stay for the 4 nights as we got a good deal but would not return to this hotel.

Short answer : it is a good hotel, the food is good and plentiful, the staff is very nice and welcoming. The pool is big and clean. The room is big and comfortable. The shortcomings :the staff at the reception is a bit slow and not very friendly (you feel like you are in a police precinct), there are small damages in the paint of the room (that can easily be repaired with a little paint or/and plaster) and soft drinks are extra during dinner (even water). Overall, it is a good experience.

This resort hotel was our last stop on the Morocco trip. The hotel was pleasant, the rooms were large but outdated and in need of some repairs. Overall our experience was good and I would probably choose a hotel like this one outside of the Medina since they have shuttles to take guest there. The pool was huge, with lots of loungers and little cabanas. The bar/food area was very good! This was probably the best pool bar/food experience in all of our stops in Morocco. The service was slow, but the choices, prices and food quality were excellent. Like our hotel in Agadir, this hotel requires a deposit for towels. Unlike the hotel in Agadir, this hotel requires a deposit of $35 dollars per towel - ridiculous!! Is towel theft such a big problem?? I commented with my wife I could probably head down to the souk and negotiate to buy 4 beach towels for $35 dollars. We didn't really try the food at the hotel since we did not purchase the all-inclusive option and they charged $40 dollars per person for the buffet. We went around the hotel to a Mexican place with was great. It was a good hotel for one night, with big rooms and a nice layout, but the hotel is old and requires some updating and fixing. The pool area is excellent with great entertainment by the hotel staff.

Simply most special hotel we've ever been to. Top service. Amazing rooms and facilities. Most importantly wonderful staff. Everyone made our stay memorable. Highly recommended

Room I had was tired and needed refreshed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. BEWARE booking trips with Sharif - the full cost of a trip is not covered when he gives you a trip price.Your day will cost you much more than your initial layout. Make sure you ask if there are any additional costs first for each trip before booking. On two trips guides took us to where they wanted us to spend money and we felt pressured into buying things we didnt really need or want. Spa facilities were excellent, great range and on oar with UK prices.

Superb hotel. Garden room was massive with a bath. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Ayoub on front desk exceptional. Breakfast and lunch buffet of excellent quality food with lots of variety. Will be returning in February 2024. Highly recommended especially with reliable shuttle service into town and back.

Beautiful luxury hotel with spacious rooms and impeccable service. Like most hotels in Marrakech, the location is in the middle of nowhere, but they offer a shuttle service to go to the city centre.

Been going to kenzi for quite a few years . Just starting to feel a bit different. You felt special in the visits past . As hotel got busier service got poorer 35 minute wait for towels by pool just an example . Saying that can we bring back stools by the bar. Also the new canopy and terrace look very good Food still good especially puddings. Entertainment at night pretty poor especially Saturday and Sunday Last time 2019 you had a good singer 👩‍🎤 🎤

Our stay was a while ago(2013), but this hotel is still #1 in my memory for the food. The Chef Cook was superb. I don't eat from small plates 😉, which he found questionable, but on the second day of our stay he was very pleased with me. We got the best table in the restaurant, near the kitchen😋 for the rest of our stay. You can visit the buffet for your food, but this is no normal buffet... You can have as much Beluga caviar your belly can hold, all kinds of sea-food, chocolate deserts with gold leaf. Big eater? Sea-food lover? Book this hotel❗

Im disappointed about our staycation in this hotel the room was empty from all the necessity’s: no tea no coffee no water Empty mini bar no bedroom slippers no iron no room service menu No air conditioner, when we asked they told us its the winter mode, the air conditioner is centralized and only the heater mode is working now. Very bad isolation, someone was moving fourniture in the room upstairs of ours all day even by night, and i think our bathrooms was next to a kitchen cause you can hear the staff talking and changing the gaz bottle. the breakfast was average nothing special many choices was removed. The room service menu is very poor, no choices. Unconditional pillow i couldn’t sleep for two days finally i ask the room service to change it. Ps: don’t order Pastry of the day ours was very bad quality.

Lovely buffet, great choice of food/cuisines, desserts were particularly amazing. Spacious room. Pool appeared good, although we didn't go in. Other choices for eating are limited, e.g. poolside food is charged, even in late afternoon when it should really be part of all-inclusive. Nothing to eat after the buffet closes, no cafe etc (except bar). Even water had to be paid for unless you drank it in the buffet. This is a strange all-inclusive. Despite these niggles, we had a lovely stay. Staff were always courteous. Bacon is provided in breakfast, but was poor quality. That is the only pork you get. Otherwise, the breakfast spread is great. Good choice of alcohol, but they only served three types of cocktails although the menu lists quite a few. Quite far from city centre. Hardly any shops nearby.

I spent 3 nights at the Kenzi Menara Palace. The hotel has a good location with beautiful grounds and you get a feel of history. They had beautiful drawings of Moor warriors well garbed as knights at their entrance doors. My room was large and spacious with a balcony overlooking the grounds. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with toiletries and clean towels. They had a rich breakfast with all sorts of food, fruits, teas, coffees etc. Same with their lunch buffet. The staff courteous and helpful even though they all don't speak English. Did I mention the rich architecture? You just get a sense of the history, the exotic Berber and Arab culture and a throwback to the luxury of that era. It's a delightful place and I would gladly recommend the Kenzi Menara Palace to anyone.

Excellent hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Abdullah and Cherif in the reception/customer relations. This extends to all areas of the hotel as the restaurant staff were very accommodating, notably Salah who served our table most nights. And the cleaning & sports staff too, especially Mouad who was leading many of the sport activities around the hotel.

I stayed here with my family for a week on April 2022. I was going to do an AIRBNB but I’m glad I changed my mind. The hotel is perfectly located. It’s close to everything Marakesh has to offer but far enough for a restive night. The staff were amazing, especially the the staff that host the Oriantalist bar. Always chose the All Inclusive package, it’s affordable and you won’t regret it. We had such an amazing experience that we will surely come back.

The staff we're very helpful. Nicely constructed and good airflow. Generous size rooms with terraces. Beautiful wood furnishings. little too traditional for my taste,

  • 4/5 ismael 1 year ago on Google
Good in general but not well maintained. Room : bed was ok but not great. A/C is not great, room temperature was around 25 Celsius. We had the service come 3 times to fix the A/C but it's out of control of the room. It's set to barely minimum power. Good A/c is a must in a Marrakech and it did not reflect a 5 starts hotel. Included breakfast: good in general but missing some fruits. Swimming pool and activities: the pool was clean and is huge, it's the best thing of the hotel.

Amazing hotel, with great porters and receptionists very helpful and made my experience special. Would recommend this hotel. Only negative I would say is the the ac in the rooms and suites aren’t good and don’t always work properly

  • 3/5 Claire M. 1 year ago on Google
Would be easy to only moan about the negatives but will be fair and balanced. Firstly the staff are lovely, kind and friendly. The food is outstanding and always fresh and delicious. It was 5 star and consistent. There was a lot of variety and the chefs were amazing. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Attention to detail was good in that cleaners added nice touches and replenished soaps and clean towels etc. But the fabric of the building needs checking - hairdryer didn’t work and shower door hinge was broken (neither were able to be fixed during our stay). Air con wasn’t effective but, to be fair, they send a service team to fix it straight away. The unfortunate result being that they asked my son to stay in the room for several ours as the outside agency that came to fix it weren’t allowed to be in the room alone (would have been more of a ‘5 star’ hotel experience if someone from the hotel could have overseen this rather than expecting the holiday maker to sit waiting in…….). The negative for us was the music. Fine to have a bar with live music and fine to have music for aqua gym etc etc. But seriously, it was pumped out of two huge speakers all day by the pool and well into the night in the reception area. We couldn’t snooze by the pool or read our books and couldn’t chat in the cool reception lounging area in the evening. Sure, some wanted to dance and that’s nice but there was nowhere to get away from it if you didn’t want that vibe. The strapline of the hotel, on their website, is ‘A Haven of Peace’. It’s not that. They are more 18/30’s trying to be Ibiza trendy. There aren’t enough sunloungers for everyone and nowhere near enough umbrellas so everyone ends up securing them as early as possible and then watching as others arrive and have nowhere to sit or have no shade. Towels are cleaned daily but arrive mid morning so there’s a long wait and then a scrabble to get them. It’s not fair on the pool staff who are lovely and trying to do their best but simply don’t have the resources to do their jobs effectively. It’s not their fault but the experience isn’t 5 star at all and I felt sorry for them as people were getting frustrated daily. There weren’t enough people staffing the pool bar so there was a long wait and the place was crawling with wasps - staff getting stung often. The poolside snacks were all pastries so nothing for anyone needing a gluten free option. All in all we had a good time - the concierge Sharief was wonderful and arranged some fabulous outings for us and would have moved mountains for our comfort. Some attention to the fabric of the hotel and a rethink of the entertainment (separate areas to suit both those who want and those who don’t want thumping base all day long) would make this a better hotel. Go for the food though and the experience of being in Marrakech - the people are special and the city is incredible.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The hotel's ambiance is exquisite, with tastefully decorated rooms and luxurious amenities. The room I stayed in was not only spacious and comfortable but also impeccably clean. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness during these times is truly commendable. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had, and their genuine friendliness made me feel right at home.
