This parliamentary and judicial building, which is also designated to host the most important ceremonies and official events, is one of the most important architectural landmarks in the city, and it is recommended to visit it during Casablanca tourism trips. It may be difficult to enter the government building, which is still in use until this moment since 1952, after 4 years of construction. Because of the daily workflow and time, however, taking pictures of the building from the outside, where the elegant and elegant architectural design is really worth suffering during tourism tours in Casablanca, in the vicinity of the place. If you are lucky enough to visit the building from the inside, you will definitely enjoy watching the white marble columns that distinguish its squares and the cedar wood ceilings that harmonize with their decorations of finely carved plaster and colorful mosaic pieces. .

Very disappointed! Wanted to visit this place a lot during my day in Casablanca. After coming there, I found out that I can’t enter without any explanation why. Strange,no? When you see people posting photos and reviews all the time. Guards were only laughing and saying we can take picture of the door and nobody can enter, no answer on my questions how people enter there and post it on the Internet.

(Translated by Google) Scam, scam and another scam. Supposed to be free, but the guy at the entrance tells you some nonsense and makes you pay without a receipt of course. It's really not worth it. Extremely disappointed. (Original) Arnaque, arnaque et encore une arnaque. Supposé être gratuit mais le gars à l'entrée te raconte des bobards et te fait payer sans reçu bien sûr. Ça en vaut vraiment pas la peine. Extrêmement déçu.

Nothing to see...they won't let you in. Addendum: the following week, a shopkeeper told us 'it's open, go over there'. so off we went, door open, guards there. Not a hint of tickets, no signs of anything, it is a gov't building, unoccupied, on a Sunday. After a tedious predictable discussion, a 200DRM fee was requested. The place is beautiful inside. For a functioning gov't office building it is in very good shape. The patterned ceilings, internal fountain, tiled walls. But not much terribly new to see, and certainly worth tolerating the dubious behavior of guards.

July 2022, my attempt at going in was not successful- maybe be due there were 5 guards at the door no one mentioned a bribe. One said no visitors for 2 years. Still a fine building to see while passing into the Habous

It's time to open this architectural edifice for public and tourists, bureaucratic tasks could be guaranteed somewhere else or in parallel as before the 2018's. Mahkama of pacha is just awesome, with its fountains, its breathtaking marble, the coloured mosaic, and the inspiring roofs made with wood, and colourful glass.

The guard didn't allowed us to enter. He said that due to the COVID it has been closed to the public for 2 years but we know for a fact it's a lie if you see other people comments about this place. He didn't ask for a bribe or anything, just said not possible to enter.

Looks great from the outside, its supposedly open for visits but..when we asked if we could enter we where first told "no", and later on they recognised us and asked if we still wanted to enter. Basically the guard was asking for a bribe ! It is supposed to very nice inside too bad there is corruption involved

Two policemen being the gatekeepers won’t let you enter unless you pay them £50 per person. Won’t give you a ticket or a receipt for it either, seemed very dodgy, avoid the hassle.

Please do not take into account any of the "local guides" who just want you to come there to make you spend some money... I was refused at the entrance even tho it is normally free and entrance is permitted for anyone.. But a guard came up to me and said I cannot enter without a guide or I can pay him to enter... Basically the guard was asking for a bribe ! I am not the first person to whom this has happened and I am not the last.. Otherwise it is supposed to very nice inside but I will never get to see it thanks to the corrupt guard's who operate security on the premises... Bad souvenir of Casablanca a city I would almost advise not going to in Marocco not much to see compared to the rich culture, architecture, landscapes & people the rest of Marocco has to offer !

La mahkama du pacha is another beautiful building you can find on Muhammed V Square. It was conceived in 1925 by a French architect called Auguste Cadet. It is the court of justice which also serves as a venue for special state receptions. It was conceived in the French Arab style called Mauresque with strong Moorish elements. Some features remind you of Granada’s Alhambra. Some give a glimpse of Persian medrasahs.

In January 1930, the pasha of Casablanca at the time At-Tayyib Al-Moqri, the second son of the Moroccan grand vizier Muhammad al-Muqri, decided to build a civil courthouse in the Habous. It was designed by the French architect Auguste Cadet (fr), who was heavily involved in the planning of Casablanca and particularly of its Habous neighborhood. The construction of the courthouse was carried out during World War II, when French authorities usurped most modern building materials in their colonies, such as steel and cement, for the war effort. As a result, even though the courthouse was built in the mid-twentieth century, it was built with traditional methods, brick by brick. The complex is characterized by traditional Mauro-Andalusi architectural features: zeleej, stucco work, carved cedar wood, and green-tiled roofs.

Explore the magnificent moorish architecture. This is a must to see for first visit travelers. However, you need a guide to have access to the inside. Take as much picture as possible. The place is no more a courthouse but an administrative quarter so it might be restricted for some official ceremonies...
