I had a one-night stay at Blankita's home. It's more of a homestay with Blankita and her two lovely kids. She creates a truly homely atmosphere, ensuring you're comfortable with her warm hugs and food. The location is far from the touristy areas. If you're seeking a unique experience in Comuna 13, "Call Me Mami" is the place to be!

If you ask me what I will remember for my trip in Medellin, there is no doubt, it is my stay at Blankita’s house. It’s hard to describe with words how good I felt being here. You just feel loved and welcomed. You will be able to experience how people from this neighborhood live and how generous and welcoming they all are. If you are looking for the authentic Medellin, it is the place the stay!

Totally recommend staying at Call Me Mami! Blankita is the best host you'll find in Medellin and Colombia. As soon as you walk through the door you become part of the family and Blankita will treat you as if you are one of her children. Staying with the family will make your time in Medellin so much better. In the heart of the community, away from the tourism, this place is a must if you want to experience the real Communa 13. You're only a short motorbike/bus or taxi ride away from the touristic part of Communa 13 and from there you can easily reach other parts of the city. The breakfast is top and the beds are really comfortable. On top of all the love you will receive, you are also supporting a project that makes a huge difference in peoples life. Great stay ! It is truly delightful to stay with actual residents of this part of town. It’s a shared experience that goes both way : we are giving and receiving to, and from our host and her family at the same time. You must go there to discover the true potential of la comuna 13 !

Nous avons passé un moment magique dans la maison de Blankita avec son fils et les autres guests! Nous avions réservé qu’une nuit et nous nous sommes mordues les doigts de ne pas avoir prévu plus de temps. Blankita est adorable, généreuse et avec un sens de l’hospitalité rare. Le quartier est super agréable, il faut que 10-15 mn pour descendre au métro San Javier en bus. C’est une expérience unique que nous pouvons que recommander 😍 merci à Blankita, Bridgio et à Thomas pour avoir lancer ce projet.

Amazing experience at Blankita's hostel! She is incredibly kind and will do everything to make you feel at home. They offer many activities and the neighborhood is super safe. I would definitely recommend if you want to get to know the locals, which you can't do in a classic hostel
