Worth it. The cocktails are phenomenal. The food is cooked really well. The place is nice and big so it can get loud but it’s still really nice. For starters we got the pulpo and tartare. I’d say I prefer the pulpo as it was bursting in flavor and cooked to perfection. The tartare was a tad too much soy sauce for me. Needed more of that (balanced) acidic flavor. As per reviews, got the short rib and that was cooked well — tender yet crispy on the outside. Pork shank was divine! Loved that. I was, however, disappointed in the dessert. Some reviewers recommended the chocolate cake but that was very disappointing. Lack of flavor and depth. I expected more. Overall, really recommend this place!

8/15/23- So I wasn't going to review this place since it's sooo highly thought of, but when Google asked me to, I couldn't say no. First, super crowded. Practically every ex-pat in Medellin is there. Without a reservation, you can sit at the bar, but there's only about 15 seats between the bar and the patio. The stools and chairs are not padded. If you want to sit in the main part of the restaurant, you better figure out how to get a reservation like 10 years in advance. They aren't open on Sundays. I sat at the bar. Very friendly and courteous staff (5 levels higher than the typical Colombian customer service). The music is a little too loud, but refreshing to hear 80s American music instead of constant reggaeton blasting 24/8 through Medellin. I ordered the pork shank. The mash potatoes that came with it were a little cold. The small garnish salad was actually good. I thought the pork was good, lean, and had good flavor, but I wasn't jumping up and down about it. It makes for great photos, though, and that's what you'll see. I think the fish dishes are probably the real specialty here, but I don't eat fish. They being said, half the menu comes from the ocean. I had the tres leches desert and was disappointed. They basically took vanilla ice cream and poured a bunch of things on top of it, not to mention it's pretty small. Will I go back? Maybe, but I'll bring a pillow for the stools and some ear plugs. *The menu changes every month, so don't expect the same.

Delicious dining experience! A modern take on a number of international cuisines, and you can taste the high quality of all their ingredients. I can see why this place is super popular.

@oci.mde is an incredibly beautiful restaurant, and it came highly recommended on several lists. Definitely did not disappoint. The service is phenomenal.

Great meal. We tried eight of the appetizers 😊 and almost as many main courses. The tuna tartar and the arepas were our general favorite appetizers. The fish of the day and the short ribs were the standout mains. Out of the desserts we most liked the jalapeno and herbs "granita," if you want something interesting. Don't worry, it isn't spicy, to my disappointment but others relief. We liked least the almond and honey cake as it seemed uninspired.

I think our expectations were a bit too high. The food wasn’t really good, actually one of the worsts in Medellin (I mean the ones in the same area). The taste of the food wasn’t amazing at all, I can’t explain exactly but the ingredients weren’t combined well. The ribs were good, but too oily and the rice was dry. The chicken I really don’t recommend it, we didn’t like it at all. Also the location was old comparing with the other restaurants in Medellin.

Fantastic! I had the arepas to start, the braised beef entree (the morrillo, not pictured) and the madeleine for dessert. Everything was exquisite. It was very busy so show up early or make a res! Definitely worth it 😋

Trendy spot in Medellin. I was really excited to try this after reading about it in just about every foodie blog. It was a great meal but didn’t wow me. Perhaps I let the reviews hype it up too much Cocktails were very good. The arepa app was ok. I wish I ordered the pulpo instead. Then for the main I had the 12-hour braised beef. It had a bit of a tangy bbq sauce flavor that I didn’t love but that’s just personal preference I guess The merengon dessert saved the day for me. Sooooo good The service was great and it’s a really cool vibe. Definitely a good date night spot

Beautiful place, amazing food and cocktails. We had the tenderloin and short ribs with a few starters, and everything was exceptional. I would love to visit the place again and try more of their food.

Good food at elevated prices (but relatively speaking still very affordable). The service is professional and swift. I had the green mango beef salad (very tasty, could use more spice). For main, I had the catch of the day with fresh coconut and chili (tasty, but unfortunately very low on the coconut sauce)

This was definitely one of our most favourite dining experiences a few weeks in. The menu is diverse and colourful - good portions and fair prices for what you get. The short rib is a must-order — fall-off the bone tender with a bit of caramelised crackling. We also enjoyed the coconut fish - well-spiced and flavourful. Excellent service. Can’t wait to go back. We made a reservation for lunch. Made sense as it was pretty full even for a Wednesday.

Tasty food in a lively environment with lots of Miami vibes. Friendly and good service from a hard working team. A little expensive for what it is but definitely a good quality experience. Scantily clad young ladies and jacked young men with shirts unbuttoned down to their navels. Somewhat amusing. But good food. Recommend! Take a taxi, it’s not an easy walk from El Poblado.

My favorite restaurant in MDE by far!! Food is excellent, literally close your eyes and point at the menu and you’ll land on something flavorful, surprising, and delicious. I’ve been staying in MDE for 3 months and I come here at least once a week. Never bored! Menu highlights are definitely the pork shank, coconut catch of the day, beef tenderloin, the short ribs of course, and for appetizers the chicharon salad is a must. But as I said you can’t go wrong. Let’s not forget to mention the cocktails, refreshing and unique and reasonably priced!! Costumbres, divas rebeldes, and Verano sin hombres are must tries. 10/10 for the entire experience at this restaurant.

Walked in at 5:27pm and we were greeted by a super nice Bartender named Alejandro - He explained immediately that kitchen would open at 6 but that he would be happy to assist us. Immediately I felt welcomed. So as we drank with my friend we decided it was best to cancel Pankas reservation and eat here. So happy with the decision. We had the Small Sandwiches (tongue), Ceviche, the Arepas and finally the main course which was Amazing! Things happen for a reason and this was a great great place. The ambiance and people were very nice.

Came to try the Short Rib for lunch - unfortunately they had ran out for the day so wouldnt even have it for dinner. The dervice was so wonderful that even though they didn't have the Short Rib, i stayed and was treated to an outstanding Pork Shank - muy rico! I recommend this as a MUST VISIT restaurant in Medellín.

If you love seafood, you’ll love the menu. Definitely a spot for a date where you can have some conversations. The flavors are worth visit. No parking or noticeable dress code. You can eat here and stumble to parque lleras. I got the chuy cocktail and the medio pollo.

Last night in Medellin, I tried my luck and went to get a place in OCI.mde in 1 word; wow! In a few words, I couldn't ask for a better finale! Tasty fresh food, fantastic cocktails, lovely music and ambiance, and above everything, the loving care of Shirley and Alejandro, who made me feel at home! Highly recommend it, and I'll be back ❤️

The ambiance’s everything. I recommend this place a lot. The music is perfect, the food it’s incredible, nice customer service. You must make a reservation. Creative and tasty cuisine. They are doing a great job with Covid guidelines. Pricey but worthy.

Really good food and great ambiance! It is vibrant and alive - great place for dinner and cocktails. This is what I recommend getting: - the Crispy Chicken - Short Ribs - the Ribeye!! Healthy food and good portions.

Wonderful restaurant with great service and high quality food. Probably the best place we ate at in Poblado. Really nice atmosphere too.

Overall a good restaurant. We had the beef tenderloin steak and the tenderloin sandwich. Both dishes were seasoned with an excess amount salt.

OCI atmosphere is super dressy casual and upbeat. The appetizer Shrimp with fried quinoa roasted with lime grilled pepper jam was done right. Short ribs - the star of the night. Sweet, crunchy and savory. Good portions. Tenderloin- was done exactly to my preference. The sweet potato with white sauce drizzle was a perfect compliment. The meat cut may have been better but the loin cut was moist and juicy. Good wine choices. Sit across the dining room bar in the hallway for a mixology show. Our servers were attentive, Magdalena. Cookie sandwich. Cookie, salted caramel and cashew ice cream. I agree with others… this was our best meal in Medellin. 2 years of vacation cocktail is like nothing we ever tasted! - it may be an acquired taste - smoked mango …. 5 stars for sure.

I had the egg-truffle, it’s basically free range eggs with truffle hollandaise sauce on top of sautéed potatoes, peas and mushrooms. It was delicious and hit the spot for this particular night. The atmosphere was nice too, nice interior decoration.

Quite a mediocre restaurant. Friendly staff and good service.. Roast chicken was a bit disappointing.

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious 😋 I highly recommend the pesca coco. It has a mixture of flavors that you will love 🥰 The music is amazing, and it is a perfect place to have a Roman date or hang out with friends

Delicious!! Great for sharing plates with a group, also seemed popular for dates. The tuna tartare was impeccable, as where the slow cooked beef and short rib. Mex Mojito was drink of choice for my squad, not too sweet, not too weak. Ambiance and service were very good too.

The food is great here. Some fine dining places leave you feeling full but not overly full. This place leaves me slightly hungry. I have been here multiple times and the last time I had a pork sandwich that was absolutely delicious. Then as in the picture I had this merengue for dessert. The dessert was a whole different level of good.

Maravilloso!!! The staff was very kind and accommodating considering I did not make a reservation on a Friday night. I usually do for any establishment and with the talk of this place, we were glad to start with drinks at the bar until a table was available. It took 10 minutes. The atmosphere was dim lit, lively, fun, romantic, sexy!! Food was amazing and the cocktail presentation beautiful. We're definitely coming back before we leave Medellin.

😠 We ordered a mixed ceviche and it was very acidic, you couldn't eat it, the presentation was terrible in a plastic cup. We paid 28,900 each and it was just onion, a small fish bite and 3 shrimp.

👍👍 This is a traditional Colombian restaurant. I went around 12:40 pm, it was crowded but there were available seating. I ordered bandeja paisa. Portions were large and food was delicious. I also ordered cola zero and they brought 300 ml large bottle. Unfortunately 10% tip is included. I don’t like res...
