Had a beautifully serene morning here. There are over 3,000 works in the collection at this quaint museum. You will learn about Pedro Gomez, what inspired and drove him, his family and his influence on Colombian art. It seems that he was most well known as a muralist, but the collection showcases many different mediums. The landscaping and grounds are also quite nice to spend a bit of time taking it in. A few notes: Google Translate does a decent job if you aren’t super fluent in Spanish. The language used to describe the artwork is pretty sophisticated, but you will get the gist. The museum is about a 15 min walk from the Universidad stop on the Metro and worth it!

Was great to visit this museum, its very beautiful and big house full of paintings, it also has a library, ping pong table, darts outside, a terrace and cafe. The entrance is free, the only thing u have to pay is a guide who will tell all about Pedro Nel Gomez and the meaning of his paintings. Inside the house working a cousin of Pedro Nel Gomez, was incredible to meet her just like that! She showed us his photos, very nice lady:) Very interesting place to visit. From the terrace is a view to poor neighborhood and one house with cool graffiti on it. Also curious to see the contrast between this huge house with green area and the rest of poor building around.

This is a beautiful museum in a very quaint neighborhood. It provides a good overview of the artist and is also a very stunning space.

If you love art you will like this place, is where a local artist lived and now is a museum with tons of his work. The streets around have graffiti versions or murals with some of his most famous works.

A beautiful place that does amazing work with community engagement. The work of the artist Pedro Nel Gómez is exhibited brilliantly around his own house, the museum has a lot of programs for the community and the staff is incredible ✨

It’s wonderful, the building and the artworks. The area is a bit sketchy though, it’s safe during the day

An enjoyable small museum dedicated to the prolific local painter Pedro Nel Gomez. His home and studio are on site. Neighborhood murals feature reproductions of his work.

Exceptional artist, original, demanding, warm. Well laid out galleries make you see his work from new angles. Losing a big fat star? Would it hurt to have some English information? Colombia is losing a lot of tourist money.

Probably the best museum in Medellin in my opinion.

The kind of place you discover when you look a little beyond the usual Medellin tourist sites. No crowds. This museum is the artist’s home. Wonderful experience. Fascinating artwork. If you’re interested in Colombian history - this is an excellent stop off the beaten path.
