Love the experience. Go by yourself and not with a tour group. I spent a few hour walking around and buying stuff. It was nice to try a bunch of new fruits I've never had and some i grew up eating and missed since moving to the states. I look forward to going again.

A amazing market but would not recommend the area outside the market

Vibrant, lively place to be. Best for produce, dried herbs, flowers and other foods. Not the best for clothing or non food goods In my opinion. A bit confusing to get around but such an authentic place to go to get a feeling for how locals live. What an amazing, bustling place to experience! As others mention, not recommended to walk there, take a taxi or Uber instead.

One of my favourite places in Medellin. Loads of food (veg, fruits, fish, meat and other essentials). 🍌 🐟 🥩 We visited for a few hours and ate lunch at one of the traditional cafes where the staff were super friendly. Everything is great value so bag a few items! They welcomed tourists, we saw a tours in little groups. We just did our own thing which felt better because we explored all around. It’s very busy in the entrances and we struggled to find our Ubers (a couple cancelled on us because we couldn’t find them!) Can’t wait to go back!

Interesting place. Worth a visit. Menu del Dia with cerdo (pork) is CO$ 13.000. Public men's urinal is outside, very helpful, many people use it. Around the corner is Restaurante Luzmy, hole in the wall place, Menu del Dia is CO$ 3.500 (US$ 0.75), soup, drink, stewed liver, rice, bean, salad, arepa. - 02/07/2022

Went on a tour of the market and had a great time. The vendors were wonderful and helpful. The fruit was terrific. So much fresh, ripe local fruits. There are sections of dry goods, hardware as well as fish, meat and cheese. A slice of real Colombian life.

Great place to go for fruits and vegetables, produce, and cheap local hole in the wall restaurants. Located in a heavy areas with socioeconomic disparity and some people that need to be rehabilitated so I recommend taking a taxi in.

There is a variety of things here that you can get sneakers, boots, socks, ahirts, boxers I mean a plethora of different things even if you were looking for anything with refrigerators microwaves, oven's just about anything. I just highly recommend to keep your valuables close don't take your cell phone out if its not needed and make sure you have already separated your money when you're gonna pay you just have to be careful there are a lot of eyes everywhere but it is a safe place to go as long as you don't get complaisive.

The freshest produce and meat market in Medellín, at least in my opinion. Here one can literally find with very few exceptions almost every fruit and vegetable grown on the planet. In another area in the plaza has available almost any fresh cut of meat poultry and seafood. Definitely a chef’s paradise!

Didn't actually make it to the market, so this rating does not reflect an experience of going there. We ended up not even making it as we needed to turn around. Not an area you want to be walking in as a tourist who probably looks a lot like a foreign tourist. Just take an Uber or taxi instead

Great place to shop. Get one of the guys with a cart - well worth the $10 mil COP to haul your buys & guide you throughout the market.

It's easy to reach via bus, the terminal is directly linked to the market. It's big and can be confusing but there was friendly staff helping me find the way.

Strategic place near Downtown where you can get many fresh things. Bring cash. Only has a ATM and its a bit wonky

good place to buy all the necessary vegetables, meats and basic household items. It shows the effort to keep everything clean, fresh and safe.

This market is a spot where everything converges. If you are a tourist I don't recommend going alone, better to visit a local one. You will find a fine restaurant and a lot of traditional stuff and food. As well as fruits and vegetables at a very good price

We went to this market in Medellin with a local guide who offered a fruit tour here. We explored the market and bought ten different fruits that the guide took to a restaurant where they cleaned and prepared them for us to taste. It was an interesting tour and the market was a good place to buy fruits and also other things such as vegetables, meat, and fish.
