The services offered by Latin Hosts were a wonderful part of our recent trip to Medellin! Their team was incredibly responsive via phone and email and the drivers they sent for our paragliding adventure and return transit to the airport were timely and bilingual, helpful given our limited Spanish language skills. After paragliding we took up our driver on his offer to bring us to a traditional restaurant, which gave us the chance to chat and learn more about life in Colombia. Highly recommended!

Decided to head to Medellin and Cartagena, and was doing some research on places to visit, when I decided to half heartedly enquire about a boat ride. It was at that point that I received a phone call from someone from Latin Hosts. This person introduced himself in a very professional manner and spoke FLUENT ENGLISH. I was pleasantly surprised. During our conversation, at no time did I feel pressured into buying any tours, Ian was simply interested in my interests, and based on my responses, he made some recommendations. BEST DECISION EVER!!!!!!!!! I requested airport transportation, a trip to Guatape, Paragliding, ATV-ing, a boat excursion and another tour. The prices were extremely reasonable, Ian even provided me with a SIM card with data so I could be in communication as I deemed necessary. So bill paid, and itinerary in hand...I am getting excited about my solo trip to Colombia. Got my baggage and there I see a young man, professionally but casually attired standing there with a very visible sign, "Shiva - Latin Hosts!" I walk over, "Hi - I'm Shiva," he responded "Hi, nice to meet you, I am Juan and I am your driver, its a pleasure too meet you, how are you?" Wowwwww perfect English speaking guy again, very humble and professional demeanor. He grabs my luggage, and says lets go. So nice of him. I ask if he can recommend any restaurants, I was a bit hungry, Juan took me to a beautiful restaurant en route to my apartment. Man the view was spectacular, food was delicious, drinks great, there was even a live band! And the price!!...easily 60 USD..not in Colombia though...maybe 15 bucks drinks included. I really felt comfortable with Juan, and for all my activities I booked through Latin Host he was my driver. His car was new, even asked what type of music I liked! His driving was cautious and efficient. FIRST CLASS TREATMENT! The tours were fantastic, and what I liked about Latin Host, is that their employees really do care about us tourists. They are knowledgeable about the rich Colombian history and when they convey stories about land marks and events, you can have a depiction in your mind. Latin Hosts made my trip what it was. The team really went above and beyond my expectation. They would always enquire if everything is ok, if I needed anything, not in a bothersome way, but more of in an accommodating way. WOW, the experience with them really added to my trip Colombia is beautiful, and Latin Hosts made my experience even more beautiful. Fantastic rates, English speaking kind and considerate, respectful and well humored professional staff....My itinerary was FLAWLESS DUE TO LATIN HOST's PROFESSIONALISM AND GENUINE SENSE OF INTEREST. They are really leaps and bounds ahead in their industry. Latin Hosts employee Andrea (ANOTHER ENGLISH SPEAKING EMPLOYEE) even saved my money on my fantastic boat tour in Cartagena, she called me and said "Hey Shiva, just a reminder, everything is paid for, so you do not have to pay any taxes (which was like 20 USD). Wow, she didn't even have to do that, I would have paid just because I thought that's what I had to do....nope.,..she literally saved me money! Really shows their commitment to excellence. I booked my airport transfers to and from Medellin with Latin Hosts. It was super easy to book and the service itself was excellent and fast. Once in Medellin, Latin Hosts suggested several excursions on our request so that we finally could book the best fit for our travel group. We finally booked a paragliding session and this was also very well organised including a convenient transfer from/to our accommodation and necessary insurances. I would definitely recommend using the services of Latin Hosts, would instantly book again with this great company!

We had a wonderful time in Medellin and a lot of that had to do with Latin Hosts. They were super helpful with creating plans, booking excursions & transportation to and from the airport. We were there during a holiday weekend, but Latin Hosts was still very responsive and more than happy to help. Also - an important detail...everyone we worked with was bilingual which helped every step of the way. Thank you for being a part of such a great vacation!

The driver to the airport was very nice and spoke English well. Decreased my stress level tremendously since I am still learning Spanish. The car was very clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced for the service provided. I will use this company on my next visit.

We booked Latin Hosts for two day trips from Medellin during a visit by our family from Miami. We found the service to be excellent and the tours were informative and enjoyable. The only criticism is that the seating in the van that was used was very cramped and so for trips of 2-3 hours it became somewhat uncomfortable. Apart from that the explanations of what we were seeing were very good and we appreciated the efforts to make both trips extremely memorable. LH also provided car seats for the two youngest members of our group. We would recommend Latin Hosts to anyone contemplating tours in and around Medellin, including airport transfers at any hour.

I have traveled extensively and am contemplating moving from Thailand to Columbia. There is always a learning curve when traveling to a new country with a different language and culture. Latin Host was of immense help in negotiating a new country and city. Latin Host went above and beyond my expectations in helping my get into my new apartment. The arrange a car to pick me up at my old residence and take me to my new abode. They were very patient in providing answers to all of my small questions and when I had a dental problem they were more than ready to help. Frankly, Asia has a much longer history of international tourism and the depth of experience and service is much more refined than emerging places like Columbia. Latin Host provides a much need service and I can recommend them without reservation to anyone visiting Columbia regardless of where they are coming from. Rgds, Tom

Latin Hosts is not your average travel agency or tour operator. They are more like a travel concierge who can help with anything from finding a place to stay to finding you the best tattoo artist in the area. It's sort of like have a local friend who can give you some insider tips...while catering your trip exactly to your needs. If you are in Medellín, hit them up!

My daughter and I used Latin Hosts for our trips in and around Medellin, as well as for airport pick-up in March of 2017. We could not have been more pleased with the service. From the start, Andrea at Latin Hosts was extremely nice, professional, helpful, reliable and would always answer our questions promptly and with accuracy. We felt like we had 'a friend' in Medellin, someone we could rely on while in the area. Additionally, Latin Hosts provided free health insurance for every trip we took, which was a plus! Our chauffeur/interpreter, Santiago, was always on time for pick up. It was very nice to have a friendly local who could speak English and share his experience with us while discovery Medellin and vicinity. We did the Guatape trip, as well as the Graffiti Tour in Comuna 13. Both were wonderful experiences. I would highly recommend Latin Hosts while vacationing in Medellin!

First rate business in a developing world country. I have worked with Latin Hosts for over a year and it makes the life of the host and the guest really easy. Its great to know that people are picked up safely from the airport and then drivers communicate with you at all times. The guest experience is enhanced and everyone gets better feedback. The private tour to Guatape is the most popular, but people also use the restaurant recommendations and the great free content on the site. Highly recommended that you check out the site and their services if your are travelling to Medellin or Cartagena.
