We are into tasting local dishes wherever we visit. If you are too don't look further, this is the place to go to. Excellent food for fair prices from fine people with great views from both terrasses. Already tried 6 different dishes and they were all 5 out of 5 for us!

The oldest restaurant in Meissen (opened in 1470). it is great to dine in such a historic setting. Their terrace (open from March to October) offers a fantastic panoramic view of the old town and the Elbe. The restaurant serves traditional Saxon cuisine, delicious wine and fantastic local beer. Excellent coffee. The food (we tried goulash served in bread) was very tasty and beautifully presented. It is worth going either right after the opening of the restaurant (11.30 am) or after lunch (after 1.00 pm), because otherwise there will be no free places on the terrace, or if there are, it will not be the ones with the best view. Fast and professional waiter service. Highly recommended.

The older staff were very professional and friendly. It was the most tender and flavorful pork knuckle I've ever had in Germany. The beautiful scenery, delicious food, and friendly staff make it memorable.

The view is just spectacular! Very friendly device, Frau Pfeifer was so nice to us, even recommended getting a kids dish (which was cheaper). Great service, nice interior and food is good. If you like German classics you will be happy! Also, you can lend some games and books 📕

Very nice pork roast. My boy ate it up and loved it. The special beer from local brewery is super. Schweinehaxe is presented with a shot of schnapps which is first for me. And the goulash in a bowl is quite decent for light eaters.

We went to this restaurant on Saturday for dinner without making any reservations. We came at around 5pm, and even though many tables had signs that they are reserved for 7pm, we were still seated at one of them. So if you're planning on going for dinner at a later time, it makes a perfect sense to make a reservation. The food was very tasty, but the service was a bit slow. The view from the terrace is spectacular so when the weather is nice, it's better to sit outside.

The restaurant has a beautiful view and is located at the Burghof. The food was quite delicious, fresh and pleasingly spiced. All dished we had were carefully plated and decorated. The staff is very kind and offers advice on sightseeing (and the food as well, of course) and other topics, which I found very helpful. The inner part of the restaurant is located in an antique building, which fits very well to the overall impression. All in all, I'd clearly recommend this location. Tasty food, nice waiters and a stunning view as well.

First time that I eat German food and being more than pleased. There was a good combination of flavors along with a good presentation and very friendly staff. It was a busy day with a fantastic weather. Thank you so much!
