We have been using this service for years and this time my 5 year old son had a Dr/ Surgeon using the tongue depressor roughly so my son was resisting and he started shouting at my son and us to hold him still. This Dr is unprofessional, I'd think twice on recommending or using this service again if they employ doctors like him who is very abusive and frankly should not even be dealing with children when he throws tantrums himself!

Spent over an hour on the phone to arrange a consultation and waited for over an hour more for a 2 minute phone consult for my 2 year old son for the Dr to send the prescription to the pharmacy, which they can not dispense, even when I asked the Dr to send me an escript. Useless service when their Drs don't know how to issue prescriptions when using telehealth. And I saw this is not their first bad review for this problem. Wouldn't be so bad if you could get through on the phone to talk to someone to have the prescription re issued but again another hour wait.

Checked online to see if a Dr was available in my area and it said there was, so I booked a consultation for a non urgent but serious matter. The choices when inputting the symptoms weren't helpful in this case. Then after waiting for over an hour I got a msg that there wasn't a Dr available after all, and my partner was going to get a telehealth consultation instead. Given the circumstances my partner needed to be seen in person so this was next to useless, but there was no option to cancel. When the Dr eventually rang he asked me some questions and then told me that my partner really needed to see a Dr in person, which was exactly what I'd been trying to organise in the first place! Waste of time.

Terrible Have COVID, the phone takes 45 minutes and then someone starts speaking to you and within a few words - immediately disconnects. The robot states that you will be eligible for bulk bill if you have a Medicare card. Tells you to go online. However, online doesn’t accept gmail or iCloud suffixes! States invalid. I have to use yahoo. Enter all the fields and the information is completely different and states you will have a $90 fee! Says “no schedule 8 drugs”, I have COVID and need panadeine forte: how am I supposed to know what schedule that is? No one calls back when the call disconnects. Such an unprofessional service.

Awful! Would not rely on 13 SICK. I booked an appointment for my 2 yr old son for a home doctor to visit. Within 45 minutes of booking, I got a call that this is not available, however a Telehealth appointment would be available in the next 3 hours or so. The excuse was that the doctor wasn’t available after hours because they had been working throughout the day. So why do you offer this after hours service in the first place? The gentleman on the phone then proceeded to tell me the terms of payment and that bulk billing wasn’t available. Care factor 0.

Its good to have a service like this for after hours and weekend but I feel the business is extremely poorly managed and lacks the basics of customer service. There is always a long hold in their call centre - why can't we hire more staff? The communication between the patient, Doctor and 13 sick is extremely ordinary - it gives me an impression that they don't really care - key point: people waiting are not like buying some groceries but are actual patients needing to see a doctor. I was advised by the doctor of a time slot, got a confirmation sms, the doctor is already 2+ hours late Vs the initial time advised and still no signs or communications. If i need an update then i need to call their customer service line where there is 45+ min wait. As a patient needing medical attention, I deserve a better level of service. The least you would expect is some communication on this delay, as a patient I am wanting to get some sleep but then waiting for the doctor. The business requires a thorough review - majority of the reviews on google are extremely ordinary.

After waiting 8 hours for a doctor visit....it ended up being a telehealth for a dog bite!!!! We were told to go to the hospital asap...what's the point in this system? Having to wait for hours and than receive a phone call just before midnight to advise us to attend the emergency!!!! For a tetanus shot and antibiotics??? The staff should be trained to advise patients immediately to attend the hospital rather than waiting for a doctor who did not turn up!!!!

Called at 1pm on Sunday for someone to visit my 98yr old father. Received a call at 7pm to say there are no doctors available but will receive a telehealth call instead. 10pm and still waiting! 9 hours waiting and nothing! REPLY Hi Christine, Thank you for your feedback. We do apologise that you have had an extended wait with us. Our average wait time is approximately 4 hours, however different situations, and circumstances (such as high wait time or Doctors themselves falling ill) can result in this being longer than expected. We appreciate this is frustrating and will continue to work hard to ensure issues like this are kept to a minimum in future. Kind Regards, The Team at 13SICK This is the response I received from my original review. Update on this....my father was rushed to hospital by ambulance the next day as he then became gravely ill and turned out was losing blood that we were not aware of. I thought I was doing the right thing calling a locum as he was only presenting to us with a cough and lethargy. If we had been given the option that you could not service our request, we could have sought other options. Instead we waited thinking someone was going to come to see him. Your sarcastic, generic reply is underwhelming to say the least and shows a disregard that there are actual human beings on the other end of a call or an online booking. I can appreciate the medical industry is under a lot of stress at the moment, but if you cannot attend, in as you say, your normal 4 hour waiting period, then let us know prior to that so that we can make an alternative decision, not leave us hanging until it's too late!

Made an appointment for my mother at 8:40pm, Telehealth appointment occurred at 3am, the disappointment doesn’t end there! Doctor advised they would send an escript and never received have had to follow up numerous times! What was the point of the appointment if you are not going to send the escript??? Going to have to find a doctor this weekend just to get some antibiotic because the doctor is probably “sleeping now”. Useless! If zero stars are an option that is what we would rate it! The doctor should not be paid for that consultation considering I’m going to have to find another doctor now to do the SAME THING!

I been successful trying to get a doctor to attend from this service 5/6 times. Today I tried to call and they advised me that they don’t have any doctors and only Telehealth. Then they said it could take 1-3 hours. I explained that my case is emergency as my baby has second degree burns. So after a few minutes the lady called me back and said someone will call you on 5-10 minutes. Well guess what it’s been almost an hour and still no call. Utterly disappointed again and will head to bed.

Went on the website for a booking. It suggested that I need to call to discuss my symptoms for a booking. Waited over 1.5 hours on the phone to try to speak to someone. I decided to give up on this service. They took my Medicare over the phone via the computer voice prompt. Is this a scam? Where they charge Medicare without even providing a service?

Booked this last night at 6.30pm got texts to say doctor would be here between 8 and 9pm. Then got a text saying confirm yes and be ready for doctor and put pet outside. At 10pm i called and was on hold for 1.5hrs for them to say oh yes doc will come. 4am and doc still didnt show and i was on hold every time i tried to call. My son is 5 and was very unwell and because it said doc was coming i though great keep him home to be seen. I would have taken him to a 24hr clinic. Worst service and no contact. Would never recommend

I'm very disappointed, I had extreme nausea and gastro problems suddenly, I booked for home doctor at 6.30am, then didn't hear anything until 9am saying the doctor starts at 10am and you will be seen within 4 hours from 10am. Every hour, I got a text saying doctor busy, sorry for the delay. Then, at 1pm no more messages or notifications to say what was going on. At 3pm i thought what's going on it's now after the 4 hour mark by a lot. Got to 6pm still nothing. Over 12 hours wait, I have up. Cancelled the booking. I am still very ill, and will need to go see a doctor face to face which I should've done 12 hours ago. Very disappointed at the lack of communication and don't tell people within 4 hours when it's way over 12 hours wait. I did use this service years ago and very similar issue. Do not recommend.

I had extremely acute back pain with intermittent spams and I could barely stand, so going out to the Doctor's would have been extremely difficult and painful, if not impossible. Fortunately, Dr. Georgiou came home and provided me with a diagnosis, medication, and a prescription 🙏

Called for a visit. On hold for 1 hour and 7 minutes and finally got through. Booked a home visit, only to get a call 2 hours later advising it’s a phone consult. Said “no”, need a doctor to physically see son. Reluctantly accepted and wanted to call back to cancel as I can go to clinic tomorrow instead. Not prepared to hold for another hour, so just informed doctor when he called that I am cancelling because I could have achieved the same thing with nurse on call. Read reviews and seems like it’s common for this service to offer a home doctor and then change it to a Telehealth call after your booked. Seems like a Bait & switch? Other reviews state the same M.O. Their web site is down too, so you can’t save yourself the call hold time.

The telehealth service is awesome. I managed to get called by the Doctor within the hour, also did a video consult to check on symptoms and provided a medical certificate. Very good when I dont have the energy to go to the GPs physically. Dr A. Quinn was very thorough. Not sure about the bad reviews here but just book online. No need to call and wait on the phone.

My 6 year old daughter needed to see a doctor, as she had no energy we wanted to avoid making her travel so booked a home visit. After a few hours we were then told no doctors were available but they could do an over the phone assessment. A while later they called and wanted details of her regular doctor but because she hadn't seen one in the last twelve months, they couldn't bulk bill and wanted to charge $85. Sound more like a bait and switch than a doctor service.

After taking 45min to make a booking. Waited over 4 hours, received SMS stating they are on the way; replied Yes to confirm. No doctor arrived after 6 hours; Disgraceful service and poor communication as SMS’s do not reflect truth.

Actually had an alright experience. Booked online at 6pm and by 730pm i had a doctor call me via telehealth. Dr spent the time listening to me explain my partners symptoms in detail and suggested a couple of options and we nailed it down to two possible scenarios on whats going on. Whoever this Dr was, thankyou for making my experience better than I thought it was going to be. Online booking is the best way to go.

As per many many previous reviews, don't waste your time. In September 2023 they still advise of "long waiting times because of the current Covid situation". WHAT?????

Tried booking a home call doctor and as per all the other reviews, it wasn’t possible and I have to wait hours just for a Telehealth. What a joke. My symptoms don’t suit a Telehealth appointment.

I’m only giving 1 star as there is no lower one! Phone SCAMS have better performance than these guys! Called for a visit, On hold for 47 minutes and finally gave up! Finally booked a home visit only from their website to get a txt 2 hours later advising it’s a phone consult!!!! With no option to refuse and/or discuss!! 4 hours in and still haven’t had the Telehealth! Looking at reviews a lot like me, sounds like the website is only a gateway to collect people’s medicate details for fraudulent business!

Worse than awful. Booked online around 345pm on a Sunday - texts meant nothing - at 1030pm finally offered a telehealth call on phone for a bad rash - he said I’ll send antibiotics so I queried didn’t dr. need to see it? Then had a video call with a chap on his couch obviously watching tv and glanced at me 3 times in our 90 second call - I dread to think how much that cost taxpayers or what the clinical risks are of this (lack of) medical service.

Like nearly all the other reviewers on here. I booked a home visit. I was in severe pain. Waited 2 hours and eventually got a call saying "no doctor available and could offer a tele-health appt instead." It looks like there is never a doctor available and all that they offer is a tele-health appt. Despite the voice message saying "We bulk-bill all patients" I was told I would be charged $60 for a 3 min phone call. Then I found out the tele-health is not claimable from Medicare. This site puts out disinformation and is a rip-off. Do not use.

First time they were great, doc came to my house and helped me, but now they want to charge me $60 for a phone call for no reason??? They say I'm not eligible for bulk billed anymore??

I had booked for a doctor to come out to see myself as I was having asthma attacks. The female doctor who had called me didn’t state what her name was. She said she would be out to come see me and asked me to take a Covid test. I told her I didn’t have one to which she responded with telling me to “go to the pharmacy to take one or we won’t come see you” in a threatening manner and then hung up on me. As I understand the severity of Covid and how the team want to minimise any possible transmission, I felt this was quite unjust to have myself go out and purchase a test whilst not showing any symptoms of Covid 19 and struggling with an asthma attack. Anyway I let that slide. Later on in the evening I received a call from the same woman asking if I still needed a doctor to come out and I said yes I do, she responded with “okay coming now” and once again hung up on me. I proceeded to turn on my front light to assist her in finding my house. I then received another call from her asking me to come out of my house because she couldn’t locate it. I told her that my house was the one with the light on. She responded with “yeah well they all have lights on so I can’t tell” in such a rude manner. I went outside and flagged her car down and then to my surprise, a male doctor came out of the car. He introduced himself to me as the doctor and asked if it was okay for him to park his car there. I was very confused at this point because this whole time I was talking to a rude female on the phone. Anyway I told him that where his car was parked was actually the middle of the road and showed him where you were able to park. So he jumped back in his car and proceeded to move his car no worries. Next minute received another call from this same female but this time she was raising her voice at me saying “where do I park?! There’s no car parks here! There is no where to park. Don’t you have your own driveway or something?!” Then I hear her arguing with the male doctor that had gotten out of the car before and then she hung up on me once again. Mind you, there were car parks available. At this point, my husband and I were absolutely disgusted by this woman’s behaviour and tone towards me. So the male doctor who then came into my house started the appointment and I asked him who was this female I was speaking too? He informed me that she was his wife and I asked why was I speaking to a random woman and not the doctor himself? He told me she was a doctor too. I expressed to him how horrible and unprofessional her phone manner was towards me and he responds to me with “imagine living with her”. I felt this needed to be reported back to you asap. My family have used this service numerous times and I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment I have received today. If I wasn’t in such pain due to my asthma attack I would have addressed this firmly with the woman myself. This woman should not be allowed to deal with your sick patients. Being yelled at, questioned, threatened and hung up on is not the treatment any sick person deserves in a time of vulnerability.

I've been trying to book an appointment for more than 24 hours. The website confirms there's a doctor working in my area. When trying to make an appointment it then only provides an option for telehealth. I can't bloody speak because I'm so unwell my throat is too inflamed so that's useless. I wait an hour to try again, and same result. It's been the same thing for more than a day now. The website is a massive waste of time. Really disappointing.
