My Partner and I spent a lovely day in the Yarra Valley with Vinetrekker having enjoyed the wonderful food and wine this region has to offer. The tour unlocked all these wonderful places for us as well as an appreciation of wine from the area. The scenery was spectacular this time of the year and we will no doubt come again! The five stars which got us to Vinetrekker is well deserved and we look forward to another one with Vinetrekker soon!

This was the best wine tour I've ever been on! Paul was the most fantastic host, he knew everyone at the wineries and we felt so looked after. Such amazing high quality wines and lunch, I look forward to booking another tour with Vinetrekker in Victoria. This is a must do in Melbourne!

Great tour between vineyards and Healesville Animal Sanctuary. Paul was an excellent guide and very informative. Both wine tasting and lunch was great allowing you to sample the Yarra Valley delights. The animal sanctuary was fantastic and a must is the Kangaroo experience allowing you to feed them. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended!!!

Had a great wine tour with Vinetrekker, visited 5 different vineyards for tasting, all different in character and experience. Had to pick up a couple of bottles to take home! Paul really looked after us and made the day fun, was a great guide with his knowledge and story telling. Even had bonus kanga content on the way home! Highly recommend

We had a wonderful experience with Paul in the Yarra Valley. I arranged this tour from the US and it was very easy. The vehicle was very nice and Paul took us to great wineries with an outstanding lunch at the second one. We even managed a visit to a local chocolate shop before returning to our ship. Would highly recommend Vinetrekker services!

I fully recommend this very high quality wine tour in the Yarra Valley. The tour is comfortable and interesting from start to finish. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The tour is very interesting and the wineries were fabulous. We had an excellent lunch and several cheese tastings as well as the wine tasting. Our driver Cam, was knowledgeable and pointed out lots of things of interest on the way. Communication with the company was swift and reactive. A wonderful way to spend a day when you're visiting Melbourne.

Could not recommend this tour enough. I booked this wine tour a few days in advance for my mum and I. Our driver Paul was so knowledgeable and hospitable. The size of the group was perfect and allowed for a more intimate experience (10 guests in total). Each winery we visited was stunning and the wines were delightful. Wine tastings included at each winery with very friendly service. A very well thought out tour. I'll definitely be back again!

Our group of 12 visiting Australia from the Oregon State had a wonderful experience on the day-tour to the Healesville Animal Sanctuary with wine tastings and lunch in the Yarra Valley. Paul and the other Paul were wonderful guides, very friendly, knowledgeable and made our experience a delight. We all remarked that this adventure was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. We would highly recommend Vinetrekker Wine and Food Tours! Thanks again for such a memorable experience!

Paul was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He arrived on time in a new bus which was comfortable. The wineries were great, the staff engaging and the lunch which is provided was excellent. Set in a great location with great lunch, the lunch is very filling and comes with a wine of your choice. Overall, it was a great day and I would recommend this tour.

Our day tasting wine in the Yarra was such an enjoyable experience!! I adored the boutique feel of the tour and the personable and welcoming nature of Paul being a true highlight. All the wineries had something for everyone and lunch was delicious with such a great view. We have left with many bottles of amazing wine and a such a great experience. Thanks Paul !!!

Wine and Wildlife combined make an absolutely magical day. Paul took very good care of us all day and made the whole trip special. The wineries we visited were some of the best and the wine so good we bought some to have shipped home. Paul was kind enough to take care of all the shipping details. The Healesville Sanctuary is amazing. We had Ian as our guide and he was knowledgeable, funny and nice. We saw all the animals we wanted to see; all sorts of kangaroos, the cutest Koalas, Tasmanian devils, dingos, platypus, colorful birds and more. Would definitely recommend.

Without a doubt, one of the best wine tours I’ve been on. Paul is a gracious host and very knowledgeable about the Yarra Valley, its history and the wineries. The wineries we visited were very welcoming and friendly. The wine and food were top notch! I would recommend this tour without hesitation. Great experience and awesome time!

Hands down one of the best wine tours I've been on. Paul was an attentive and knowledgeable host providing insights into the history of the area and the growth of the Yarra Valley as a premier wine destination. We were warmly welcomed at each winery and the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend if you love your wine and want to learn more about this wine region.

We had a fantastic experience and we want to thank you for a wonderful day. Paul, our tour guide, and the vineyards staff were excellent. They were very knowledgeable about the vineyards we visited and the wine they produced. They were also very patient and took time to explain wine knowledge to us, which we really appreciated. The lunch and wine pairing with cheese was a highlight of the tour for us. We love the variety of wines we got to taste. It was a great way to experience the different flavour and textures of the wines. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour to anyone who interested in exploring the vineyards around Melbourne. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

We recently joined Paul from Vinetrekker for a spectacular day of wine tasting and lunch in the Yarra Valley. It was truly one of the best wine tasting experiences we have had. The itinerary took our small group to 5 different wineries each offering different characteristics in their atmosphere and experiences. The wine and cheese pairing at De Bortoli was incredible and a great way to kick off the day. Lunch at Yering Station provided breathtaking views and delicious food. Our afternoon visits to Payten & Jones, Coldstream Hills and Medhurst complimented the morning with a fun and funky mix of great wines and scenery (Yes, we saw kangaroos!) It was clear Paul had excellent knowledge of the area and very good relationships with the different wineries as they treated us very well. Overall I would rate our tour day as EXCEPTIONAL and I highly recommend a Vinetrekker wine tour to anyone seeking excellent wine, delicious food and beautiful scenery in the Yarra Valley.

The tour started at 0845 with a pickup directly outside my accommodation. The tour guide, Cam, was fantastic. He was friendly and welcoming when he greeted us. During the tour, he drove from Melbourne CBD to the Yarra Valley via the scenic route which was lovely for people who haven't been here before and he has a wealth of knowledge around a lot of areas. Once we arrived to the Yarra Valley we stopped off at our first winery. Cam had extensive knowledge of all the wineries we stopped off at and was able to contribute great info during the tasting sessions. The structure of the tour itself was great and any wines purchased, Cam would take care of so we didn't have to carry it around with us and back to the van. He made sure it was labelled so it wouldn't be mixed up. As the tour I had booked only had another 2 guests who had booked, it was nice to be able to socialise in the small group and make some good conversations between everyone. The lunch at Yering Station was devine! And a glass of wine included was fantastic. Throughout the tour there were also nibbles provided and at the final winery it was also a matched wine and cheese tasting. Once we got dropped off we were completely full of wine and food, just how a Yarra Valley wine tour should be! I think the only 2 or 3 things I could really recommend or suggest is that, while water is available at each winery, maybe having some bottled water available in the van incase anyone needs it. While some of us were seated in the front row of the van, I feel like it may have been a struggle for the back row to hear Cam when he was talking about the different wineries or just general information of the area, so possibly having some sort of microphone system just to play through the van audio speakers. Before leaving the final winery, maybe just letting people know the time it'll take to Travel back to Melbourne and maybe planning a quick bathroom stop if anyone needs it. Given we visit five wineries, it's bound to happen at some point that a toilet stop would be appericated. Although I'm sure if someone asked then Cam would accommodate it. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it! The price paid is worth it!

The tour was perfectly planned and provided great introduction to Yarra Valley and to the wild life of Australia in the Healesville sanctuary. The vineries of the visit are surrounded by great scenery. During the tour we were provided with a lot of information on the valley by guide Paul, the place for lunch was gorgeous with great food. Also we had a guide in Healsesville, what was not promised, but was a great add-in to the tour. Highly recommended.

This day trip to the Northern vineyards is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended if you want to have a taste of Victoria’s beautiful wine and regional scenery. Perfect exercise for weekends with a group of friends. Our guide, Paul is very funny and amiable, and willing to share his knowledge about wines. Fantastic experience!

This wine tour meets every expectation, for both the serious wine buff and anyone who just wants a fun day out with the chance to taste and learn about wines. We visited a diverse selection of 5 wineries and at each one there was plenty of time to sample the wines and buy any that appealed. Excellent lunch too at Yering station. Our guide CAM was friendly and knowledgeable. If you only do one wine tour whilst in Melbourne then this is the one to do folks.

  • 5/5 Joey C. 6 months ago on Google
The tour is well planned. Paul is very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Yarra valley. He is super friendly, took care everyone in the tour. We enjoyed our time in Healsville Sanctuary and the lunch at Yering Station is nice. The wine and cheese pairing at De Bortoli was incredible. Highly recommended to anyone who is planning a trip to Melbourne. You will definitely enjoy this trip.

My husband and I had a wonderful day exploring the vineyards of the Mornington Peninsula. Cam was a great tour guide very knowledgeable about the area and the wines grown at each vineyard. He made sure our day was everything we had hoped it would be. The lunch at Merricks General Store was delicious. The service was impeccable, nothing was a problem and the staff went the extra mile to make sure their customers had the best experience. An unforgettable day.

We had a great day from start to finish! Our driver/ tour guide, Shane, was very knowledgeable and attentive! A really nice guy. Lunch at Yering Station was spectacular, the food delicious, and a view to die for. We had done a wine tour in the Yarra Valley previously, but this one was by far the best! We would most definitely recommend going on this Vinetrekker tour!

My wife and I did a private day tour of the Yarra Valley with Paul from Vine Trekker and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Paul is not only extremely knowledgeable about wine and the region itself, but knows many of the vineyard owners, workers, and wine makers. He catered the tour based on our wine preferences, which saw us visit Chandon for sparkling wine, then Medhurst for reds and Dominique for more wonderful reds and lunch. We opted for a tour with Paul over the hop on/hop off option and would do it 10/10 times!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Yarra Valley Wine & Food tour! Our guide Rob was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing facts and history about the neighborhoods we drove through and animals and plants we saw on our way up. Each winery was good, but our favorites were the smaller wineries at the end of the day - Payton & Jones and Medhurst. Rob knew the folks hosting the wine tasting at each winery, and everywhere we got to taste a couple of extra wines not included on the official tasting menu. Lunch at Yering station was super tasty, and we even got a nice cheese plate with our final tasting at Medhurst. On the way back, Rob went out of his way to drive by some places he knew had kangaroos, so we could make sure to see some kangaroos as well. All in all, we had a great day in the Yarra valley!

  • 5/5 MARICA L. 3 months ago on Google New
It has been an excellent tour with a superb guide, Rob! We had the opportunity to see (kangaroos, parrots and many other wild animals), learn (about local places, traditions, people), enjoy (the tour, the food, the wine, the company of our co-travelers)! Everything was perfectly organized! Absolutely suggested!

A great way to explore the Yarra Valley. A smaller group made for a far greater experience & far better offerings at the cellar doors. Paul was fantastic throughout, and could not have done more for us. I would highly recommend booking through here as appose to a cheaper competitor.

My friend and I wanted to craft our own day tour to the Mornington Peninsula (Sorrento & Portsea) as we both have some health issues that would have made a group tour difficult. We decided to use Vine Trekker, referred to us through our hotel The Langham in Melbourne. They coped with our changing schedule (switching days), and communication via the Langham team and VineTrekker was great and very prompt. Our driver Steve arrived on time and came into the hotel to collect us from Reception. He was very knowledgable and provided commentary on sites of interest and history as we travelled. We finalised our plans for the day as we went along, and even added an extra hour at the end to allow more time at the winery we visited on our way back. This winery (Heathcote Estate) was one recommended to us by Steve for its stunning views and good service, and we were not disappointed. It was a great end to a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable day. We will definitely use their services again.

A great day. Shane was truly knowledgeable and guided us through the complicated world of wine. With his background we were encouraged to try new things. Our wine appreciation and collection has grown. It was delightful, relaxing and enlightening. Thank you, we look forward to our next adventure with you. Vera & Nadia

My husband and I opted for the full day wine tour with lunch package. It was an AMAZING experience. Although we had limited wine knowledge, Paul was determined in helping us along on our wine journey. He shared his wine knowledge with us in a way that was easy to digest and we greatly appreciated this. Lunch was also delightful at a beautiful venue. Highly recommended and well worth the money!

We took a small van tour to the Yarra Valley which included a morning at an animal santuary and then we had a lovely lunch and wine tasting at a winery overlooking a beautiful valley. The guided tour at the santuary should not be missed. I have included a few photos of the day. It was one of our best days in Austrailia.

An amazing day spent visiting winery’s, food outlets and enjoying beautiful scenery. Paul was a wealth of knowledge about wine in general, the region we visited, and the wineries we stopped at. A fun and educational experience with some great wines and food to sample and purchase to bring home. A delicious lunch was included. The tour started punctually on time, was full of interesting facts and meeting some lovely people. Highly recommend this tour company for their professionalism and enjoyment factor. You won’t find better!

I have been on dozens of group and private wine tours, and in my opinion, Vinetrekkers is the best in the business. I have done 4 tours with Vinetreker, twice each Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley. The knowledge of our guide and his excellent relationships with the venue's operators means we get close, personal attention at every stop. The wineries and food stops are curated very well, so in a day, we get an excellent cross-section of experiences that showcase the regions. The tours are

Shane, our tour guide, was outstanding. Each winery provided an amazing experience and the lunch was beautiful. Girls trip to Melbourne and this tour added an extra memorable day to our vacation!!! Paul was very informative on the various wines and the history of the region! We had multiple tastings at some gorgeous vineyards and lunch (we had the duck) paired with a glass of wine was delicious!!! Paul’s knowledge and warm personality added to the tour, although we did get very lucky and had a brilliant bunch of people on the tour with us !! 100% recommend this tour if you have a free day in Melbourne - worth it for sure!!!

As a reunion for a great work team that has dispersed over the last year, I wanted to organise a special personal win tour experience for the 10 of us and Paul Robinson has been amazing in helping me do just that. We've had to re-schedule couple of times due to Melbourne lockdowns but finally in November we made it! Paul was very accomodating with our pickups and so relaxed so even though we covered 5 wineries in Yarra Valley, we never felt rushed. The quality of the wines and our lunch experience was top notch! Paul was very knowledgable about the wines and gave us a bit of education along the way. We had a perfect day out of great wine, friends and laughter. At the end, Paul even gifted me a bottle of wine as a thanks for the organisation. I would highly recommend this tour and look forward to booking another one when my dad visits from Europe this year.

We went on our winery tour with Shane on Christmas eve and it was one of the best decisions we made during out stay at Melbourne. Shane was an incredibly thoughtful and friendly tour guide and a true wine expert. His kindness and cheerful yet professional attitude made the whole experience so much memorable. The wineries were also carefully selected, and we truly enjoyed every single moment. Although being unfamiliar with Australian wine, we developed a fondness for it after trying some excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced in the valley. We couldn't help but purchase a few extra bottles than planned. We never expected this tour to be so amazing, and honestly think that we would still choose to travel with Shane even if it costed more. We would highly recommend to anyone who has interest in the world of wine, whether you are a novice or an expert. Great for couples, families and friends. Thank you Shane for making our honeymoon even more memorable!

This was a fantastic day thanks to Paul. Great fun and well looked after! Paul made our day with his expertise, joy and goal for everyone to have a good time. Thanks Paul for putting up with our singing on the bus and teaching us about wine in the finest and funnest way possible by catering to all our needs including our silly music and photos! If anyone would like a fun, exciting and relaxing group activity Paul is your guy! Thanks again to Paul for such a wonderful and memorable day!

The tour was amazing! We not only visited 5 beautiful and different wineries but also tasted a wide range of wines (including some Reserved wines!). The itinerary is perfectly designed for a day tour, which also included a proper a la carte lunch. We tried over 40 different wines in a day, can you imagine that. Paul is an experienced tour guide who is also passionate in wine. Great interaction and a little extra wine knowledge along the trip. Great group size. Great transport. Great wine. Great people. I'd definitely come back with my friends and families in the future.

Paul at Vintrekker took us on one of the best winery tours I’ve ever been on (and I’ve been on a number around Europe). Nothing was a problem for Paul, he catered to our very needs (including making sure us vegetarians - also gluten free we’re catered for). He took us to his favorite wineries - about 5! Had lunch at the Merricks General store which was sublime and was such a fantastic host literally from beginning to end. His knowledge of wine and the area was excellent and we felt like we were spending the day with a new friend versus a host! Thanks Paul - a very memorable day for us. Will be back again!

We had 10 people in our tour and I think everyone had a great day. A point of difference for Vinetrekkers was that Paul accompanied us at each of the five tastings, adding his wealth of knowledge to the experience and ensuring we got to taste premium wines. The choice of wineries was excellent and the lunch at Yering Station was high cuisine. A thoroughly top class wine tour that I will encourage friends to enjoy as well.

Choosing Vinetrekker for our Yarra Valley tour was definitely the best choice we had from our trip. It was a really great experience. Stephen was our guide and he was really accommodating and had a lot of information that he can share with us. Places that we've visited were gorgeous and unique on its own way. The lunch in Yering Station was superb 👌, the food was amazing. We got to know Yarra Valley really well through this trip. All and all, it was the highlight of our trip to Melbourne and the best tour that we've had so far. It feels like a private tour, since there's only 2 of us (yeay, lucky us 😉)

Don't look further for an incredible experience! Easy, fun, knowledgeable. An excellent intro to wine in the region, tailored to our interests. This was an amazing experience lead by Paul! He was very prepared and provided umbrellas in case it rained. The tour through Healesville was a great time and loved seeing all the animals. We went to lunch and the wineries after and it was delicious food and wonderful wine! The wine tasting was paired with delicious cheese which was chef kiss! Definitely recommend this tour and Paul was great!

Paul was extremely knowledgeable on both the wine & the region. Extremely friendly and engaging. Some of the people on our tour had never really tried wine before, he spent time teaching them how to taste and explain what they were tasting. Went to a good variety of wineries - so saw how the different parts of the Yarra Valley resulted in different tasting wine & didn't just take go to all the big commercial wineries. Excellent day out - with a touch of successful Kangaroo spotting along the way. Highly recommend, and as someone living in Melbourne will be recommending to friends and family who come to visit.

The wine tour exceeded our expectations, thanks to Paul exceptional guidance. Paul’s knowledge and expertise truly enhanced our experience. Throughout the tour, His passion for wine and the region shone through, making the journey not only informative but incredibly enjoyable. We felt privileged to have Paul as our guide. His attention to detail and professionalism were evident from the moment we met. His punctuality, organization, and ability to keep the group engaged were commendable. Paul had meticulously planned the tour, ensuring that we we visited the most renowned wineries and experienced the best of what the region had to offer. We left with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art of winemaking, as well as the rich history and culture of the region. It was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for years to come.

This is my second trip with Paul and Vinetrekker! Such a fabulous trip to the Mornington Peninsula! Paul, is knowledgeable and great company. I am a solo traveller and felt totally at ease within the group, such a relaxed day. All the wineries we visited were excellent and the food for lunch was delicious! I can't wait for my next trip to beautiful Australia and hopefully I will get to do the Macedon Ranges wine tour with Vinetrekker! Thank you again for such a great day!

We chose a wine and wildlife combined tour. First, the tour guide to visitors ratio was perfect. There won’t be too many people in the tour, unlike some other companies. Secondly, Our driver Shane was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were excellent. They served us good wines and cheeses more than expected. The lunch was delicious too. The Healesville Sanctuary they chose was excellent too. We met all the animals we want to see. My son loved it very much. We highly recommend this combined wine and wildlife tour, especially you have kids. Both parents and kids loved it.
