Great recent update which was well needed. Now up with best Woolworths stores around. Great deli, cheeses, meat and fresh fish counter. Fruit and Veg is great and bakery always worth a wander. Good gluten free and health food options. Plenty of self service check out terminals too.

Woolworths price gouging is out of control. Everyone is tired of being ripped off and manipulated. I went through seven pages of half price specials online and saw nothing but candy bars, crisps and sports drinks. Inexpensive alternatives have disappeared from the shelves. Meanwhile the aisles have emptied as the public realise they can't afford to fill their trolleys. The butcher and baker have been let go. The checkouts are mostly chained. The robots accuse everyone of attempting theft at every transaction. Basics are now unaffordable to anyone but the wealthy. I really hate you Woolworths. If there was any competition left I'd be there in a second.

Be Careful what you paid !!! I purchased one box of this grape showing price at $5.50, billed at $5.90 . Well ,when I picked out the error, expecting apology from the staff , not 40cents refund and without a word. Very disappointed with the help desk staff. This shop was always my favorite one ….

Look closely at the discounted products as it can be a little tricky, sometimes what looks obvious isn’t as it seems. This photo doesn’t show the deception at its best, when walking past, those signs slightly set back and below your knees are not so easily seen.

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent shopping experiences at Woolworths. While I appreciate the convenience and quality of your products, I have encountered a persistent issue with the checkout process that I feel needs attention. The checkout machines at Woolworths have consistently been slow, causing extended waiting times for customers like myself. This not only tests our patience but also affects the overall shopping experience. It becomes particularly frustrating during peak hours when efficiency is crucial. Additionally, I've noticed that these checkout machines often display error messages, leading to delays and confusion during the payment process. Such errors not only disrupt the transaction flow but also raise concerns about the security and reliability of the payment system.

I’ve never been to a more chaotic Woolworths before. Parking is stressful and then inside, customers are everywhere. I’ve tried going at different times of the day, different days if the week but it’s always the same. The instore directory is significantly incorrect. For example: eggs are in aisle 9 but the above aisle items state cake mixes and oils and the directory says that eggs are in aisle 1. It’s a pity that this is the closest to me now as the staff are wonderful, large amounts of produce and even some fresh sushi available for lunch. I highly recommend direct to boot at this store.

Whoever does the stock ordering or management does a woeful job. Limited choice unless you want soft drink or chips. Pet food selection and restock abysmal. Shelves half empty and no it's not a resource issue as Woolworths nearby are fully stocked. Also limited cash registers on the self serve so forced to pay by card. Try to avoid this one

Great now the store isn't 24 hours. On my last few visits they have not had the stuff I want on the shelves... Congrats Woolworths I'm now shopping at Coles.

Not a safe store. Staff members aggressively confront all customers for donations as you enter and exit. Regular beggars aggressively confront you for handouts. Homeless dumpster diving in back bins, or criminals checking unlocked cars while you shop. I am not being dramatic, this is Ashwood Woolworths - go at your own risk.

I don't have any problems with this Woolies store aside from that stuuupid gadget that says, "You have entered a closed checkout area, please choose another register," over and over again! It's like it's on repeat every time I'm in the store, and it drives me up the wall!! Poor staff who have to listen to it for hours on end, I feel for them... I hope Woolies ditches it, it really seems overly sensitive and also not even necessary.

Very disappointed that they changed their 24 hours to midnight closing - they used to be the only place that accommodated non-typical life hours for kilometres around. Now they’re just like any other Woolies from easier to access locations.

Gotta stand in line for 10 minutes every time you go or be put under duress to use the self service machines which inevitably breaks down and starts flashing and need the worker to fix it anyway. Oh and whats more? Closes at 12am now instead so can’t even do late night shopping when it’s quiet greedy management is just thinking $$$$

Nice store. Used to be a 24hour store some years ago. But no longer the case. Would have been great if they could return to 24 hour trading. The only alternative in the evenings is the burwood coles that is still 24 hours. Other than that this store is great. Spacious. Well stocked and has sushi. And meats sections which is nice.

A little dated, but I’m so glad it’s open later than other supermarkets in the area. Good range too

This supermarket is an absolute disgrace. Stock levels are down. The external and internal areas are dirty. People begging next to the front door and dogs tied up in the entrance foyer. They even allow people to take their pet dogs inside, unbelievable. The management have removed their express lanes and service is so slow. Thank heavens Coles are opening up not far from them. After being a faithful customers for many years we do not feel like a customer any more. Time for new management.

Make sure you check prices. Don't assume that they are cheaper than your local shops. Some items are $20kg more than local Deli and IGA and meat prices are comparable. I strongly suggest you check out Coles up the road(hopefully competition sharpens them up) or even better - support the vendors in High st - if you don't they might not be there down the track.

Asked for a cash out at the service desk after buying a bag of grocery. Was told by a rude cashier guy that I had to buy another item to get cash out because of their store policy. It's a shame that Woolworths is matching Aldi on services. Why don't I just go to Aldi then?

What’s the function of the staff who stands in the Self-service area? It was a discrimination definitely, 9:59pm 31/05/2023, the girl is not suitable for this role, she should resign.

We came here as it was the only one closest to us in our area that was not closed. The others are open till 10 pm but the Ashwood Woolworths is open till 12 am. This supermarket size is average but you can get almost everything you need here. Good parking area with under cover spaces as well

LOVE OPEN 24 HOURS! Good selection, really friendly helpful staff (the night staff in particular, are really lovely) Plenty of car parking. And the cnvenience of 24 hour shopping is BRILLIANT! Highly recommended!

I have always loved this store, until now.. No express check out anymore, I just have to wait in line behind people with trolleys to be served.. 😭 It's never just in and out!!

  • 5/5 Alex Y. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best supermarket in the area. Super complete with varieties and staff members are helpful, mostly. Unlike other stores. The carpark can get a bit hectic at peak hours, so try to avoid coming during the day on weekends.

An autonomous hellscape reminiscent of the workerless future of stores everywhere. No staff to be found and prices jacked up yet again. I can no longer afford to shop here and will be looking for somewhere cheaper where there are people actually working. It's a shame to be priced out of your local supermarket. Do yourself a favour and give this dump a miss

store always under stocked and doesn't stock lots of popular products, plus it's always crowded. Shelf stakers constantly stocking shelves during open hours and leave stock trolleys in the way adding to corwdedness... worst Woolworths ever! Want a usually quiet well stocked Woolworths ? Go to the Mulgrave store at Waverly Gardens... 1 of best Woolworths around!

Ashwood Woolworths was good when the staff didn't hassle and give a hard time to buskers people who are Australian cultured and preform because that is one of only means to make a living trying to survive hungry just to spend the money you make at the Woolworths supermarket on food so they get the opportunity to get lice free good entertainment live singing and playing guitar 🎸 not happy about it fair enough those cold ❄️ biters so there called screw it up for genuine people like me who are disabled and unable to work for a while now and it makes me feel worthwhile not worthless like the manager and staff there not one customer has complained about me and I'd been doing it for 12months well known by most locals there even stood up for me when manager would call police on me tell me they would arrest me if I didn't move on that's just wrong.

Large store so good range of products available. Car park often full, pretty much any evening of the week and during day on weekends. Best time for parking is always on the morning Monday to Friday.

I was deeply disappointed that Woolies Ashburton has now removed quick "Under 12 or 15 items" checkout. When I spoke to senior staff member, he assured that they are swapping quick checkouts for more full checkouts in total. NOT TRUE! Disappointing that if a customer has 5 - 10 items, they need to wait 15-20 mins to be served. As a result, I'm going elsewhere where they do have quick checkouts. Woolies loss, Coles gain! Provide a service Woolies or your customers will go elsewhere!

😠 Very poor experience today. While trying to compare 3 different coffee beans, when I set one down to look at another, I had a staff member take the packages away from me and put them away.
