absolutely disgraceful conduct by the owners! after paying $90 per head the service was appalling!! food undercooked, owner yelling and screaming at her wait staff all night like dogs and in front of guests! 1 waiter split a bottle of beer on our table, the owner then snatched with aggression every glass and bottle of alcohol not only from our table also the hands of those actually drinking. I went and approached her respectfully to find out why, she began to accuse us of being drunk! FYI I'm 44 and don't drink.... I kindly suggested she appeared stressed and to make be take a break. she screamed in my face telling me she is the owner and has been doing this 35 years, don't tell her how to do her job! My civil approached may have ended here! I will never recommend this venue nor will they receive a cent from me again!!

I attended a wedding a few months back and there was mould on my bread roll. Disappointing.

Attended Luxor for a Deb last night. Giving it a 1 star rating is generous. If zero was an option I would have certainly chosen this. The night was atrocious & sub par. The food stone cold, inedible, very late & my vegetarian meal could only be described as 'slop". I was not offered an alternative & ate 2 dinner roles for my mail meal. The main meals were delivered in stages with a wait time of 45 mins between the first meal & final meal to our table. A meal at McDonald's would have been more satisfying & certainly cheaper than the $100 per person. Wait staff trying their best but it too 7 request to 7 different wait staff to have bread brought to the table. If forced to attend a function again I will have to ensure I have dinner first. I would NOT R3CCOMEND attending her ever again.

Amazing place for any function. Inside is very large with a beautiful staircase coming down into the reception area, then onto the dance floor with a beautiful elegant design. The staff were professional food and service was excellent.

Attended here for a deb. The actual night and the entertainment was awesome had a really good time. The beer was cold. Carlton draft was a good choice they got that right. The food was terrible. We requested no mushrooms way before the deb even started like weeks ago. All the meals came with mushrooms. We told them straight from the start no mushrooms they bring every meal with mushrooms. They rectified the main Meal they served with no mushrooms after I told them several times. I had the lamb shanks which that meal was actually nice. Several people said that the chicken was dry as. Was a good night lucky I wasn’t there just for the food. I was happy of the choice of beer that made it better. Was organised good just the food wasn’t good. Won’t recommend them for their food unless you can get your own catering done.

Don't reply to emails, inconsiderate and rude woman on the phone, lots of trash in the back of the carpark and lots of vermin to accompany it.

Nice venue, good food and generous portions. DJ was loud and music had the bass turned up too much but not the venues fault. Only issue was the bottles of red wine that were (re)filled to the top of the bottle and were not what was on the label.

Attended a wedding here last Sunday. Children's main course came out the nuggets were raw!!! I sent it back they provided us with another plate no problem with staff! The steak was dry inedible

I was there for a wedding ... it was 38 degrees ... it was so hot in there i asked the waiter for another jug of water and he said that i already had one on the table....

I attended Luxor for my daughters Deb and can’t explain how disappointing the food and service was . I had an adult guest with dietary needs and Luxor provided him with a kids meal nuggets and chips for main . I was so embarrassed when I requested for the meal to be changed the waitress replied “sorry that’s all we have”. Prior to attending the event the dietary needs where addressed .Our drinks weren’t refilled and when we asked for tea it arrived 45 minutes later when we were going home. Staff didn’t look happy .When I rang to explain the situation the lady said I understand I will get the manager/ owner to ring you and I haven’t received a call . I wouldn’t recommend this reception for a special events .

The hall was like a scene of the movies. Well lit, plenty of space on the dance floor and beautiful table arrangements. The staff were so accommodating and helpful with attention to the tiniest details.

Attended for an end of year sports function. Food was ordinary for gluten free options, except for excellent ice cream for dessert. Decor is a little tired.

Food was cold absolutely disgusting. Never before have I had such terrible food. Extremely expensive for what you get. House wines were horrid for $80 you’d want something half decent!

This reception is the worst reception to have your wedding at if you want to have the worst night ever. This is due to an incident that happened to me on Sunday 20th of November when I attended a wedding as a guest and left to go to my car, I found it broken into and had a bag of mine stolen from the car, with shattered glass everywhere, I made an incident report at the reception however although the parking was under private property the reception management didn’t do anything to help with the situation and had terrible attitude towards me when I tried to contact them they were very rude and disrespectful towards me. And ended up ruining the night for the Bride and groom and we all felt stressed and worried. Due to the complete incompetence of the reception management.

Nice food for a reception center,except for the rock hard dinner rolls and terrible tasting fake butter... Real butter please. . They need to do something about the atmosphere lighting and acoustics... Very very uncomfortable chairs.. Awful sitting at table next to dj too loud...

Great place for functions l have attended the luxor heaps of times.

The meal was like a sub par pub meal at a 4 star michelin price. The gnochi was just Deb instant potato, the lamb shanks turned out to be lamb shank, with beans that were as raw as the day they were picked, the red wine jue was anaemic and tasted like thin gravy. And the cheese cake was straight out of a caterers tray. Staff were ok. Just doing their job.

Attended a function where the waiter accidentally spilt a bottle of wine and jug of coke all over the table and my husbands suit jacket. Brand new jacket white in colour. Stains could not be completely removed from dry cleaning. Owner Natalie refused to cover the $200 replacement costs for the jacket and tried to redeem it from a 16 year old boy. Totally disgusting in my opinion trying to make a child pay for damages where you are the employer.

We had a lovely evening at our granddaughters deb ,service was excellent our food was nice the apple crumble need some ice cream or custard bit bland but overall a good experience.

Really nice venue with a terrific floor plan. Food was lovely with friendly staff and pleasantly stern security. Would recommend for functions. Don't know their rates but best to check with them anyway.

Here for a non-wedding function. Asked 3 of the staff who were standing in a row where our table number was located (I assume they were there to guide guests), the male said “I think it’s to the right”! Usually a professional reception will have staff walk you over to your table or at least guide half way. 2 course meal - main & dessert. I didn’t bother taking photos. The main was very measly. Chicken with one broccoli on the side sitting on a tiny slop of liquidy ‘mash’ potato or lamb shank with the same one broccoli & “mash”. Dessert was nice - warm apple crumble. Would have been nicer with a ball of ice cream on the side. They brought out milk & sugar but then Did Not bring out any tea or coffee & took back the milk & sugar. Don’t know what that was about?!

Very poor service, didn’t get what we asked for. Had recently hosted my wedding reception, and to sum it up we were disappointed. The air conditioner was off the whole event during a 30 degree hot day. When we confronted the assistant manager on numerous occasions, she gave a different excuse every time. She was even using a paper as a fan herself due to how hot the venue was. Before the event, we asked them so many times if the air con is working well, and then on the day the aircon isn’t working. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this venue to anyone.

Great function centre. Highly recommend it for the great service and food. Bookings are made easy.

I wasn't a fan. The chairs are very cheap plastic. Very squashed at tables. Wait staff with no smiles. Didn't even talk to you. If you asked a question, it felt like perhaps we shouldn't have. It felt like a big inconvenience by staff. It was just their attitude. Appetisers were lovely & tasty. Main meal good portions but lacked flare. Deserts, not good portions. Toilets need updating. I think with a few fixable things this place could be a much nicer venue.

Venue was great but staff 'promised' secure area for the bridal party possessions but quickly ignored any liability and unhelpful when things went missing and claimed security cameras not operating. Manager on duty Anna could do with a crash course in customer service but at least security staff were exemplary!

Venue and staff were great, the food was inedible and so very disappointing. I am a vegetarian and was booked in months in advance with my food preference. First up was a plate of lettuce leaf and bottled pickled vegetables complemented with what appeared to be liquid from the pickled vegetables and oil. Unfortunately for me, it only went down from there. On a positive note, the bread roll was nice...

Went for a wedding. The design the reception is huge. The seating was not overcrowding. Very spacious, clean, well cared for. Ample parking spaces. Other fuctions rooms were around, you were not bothered by other peoples functions. Not sure of caterers are part of reception, but the meals were ample and beautiful. No need for maccas visits later.

Great place for your photos. Use RSV Limo for your immaculate wedding cars.

Best function centre out west so much better then lakeside.

Beautiful venue Incredible food Friendly attentive staff

2 stars is pretty generous! But this place does have potential. Spoon arrival to the ball room, we were welcomed with some tasty finger food while waiting to go in, spoon entering, the place looked brilliant, and the majority of the staff were friendly and welcoming, while others were apparent mutes who couldn't even say a thank you, or you're welcomed, the tables were pretty crammed full of people making it a bit squishy, expecially for a 5 hour night! Not long after arriving, it became apparent it was getting really warm inside, despite several people telling us the air con was on, it became clear by the end of the night that it was in fact broken, and they couldn't be bothered fixing it yet, resulting in people leaving early, and others falling I'll due to the heat inside. Once the course meals started coming out, they were mixed reviews, from dislike, to the pasta tasting like packet pasta sauce, to the battered squid having no flavour at all, to just average reviews, when the mains finally came out at 10pm, they were rather disgusting, the meat tray was unrecognisable, was it beef, lamp or pork? You really couldn't tell because it was so over cooked and dry, the one thing you really can't go wrong with, Mash potatoes, that was even uneatable due to some disgusting minced pea pure mixed in with it all. Desert finally came out around 11pm, by which point most people were to tired, or feeling unwell from the heat to even eat. The place is happy to hand out all the beer and wine you can drink for free, but if you want a real drink, the bar doesn't even sell spirits! As I said, a ratting on the night would be 1 and a half stars, but it has potential to be better, with better kitchen staff, and more focus on customer comfort.

I held my sons Baptism at Luxor in early January, we were worried as it was a very hot day but the new air conditioning system they have put in is fantastic, we were dancing all night and were also nice and cool. Both ladies we had dealings with were easy, kind and made the process exciting.

The venue was uncomfortably hot. The drinks were warm. A common theme of understaffed waiters and bar staff. The security was rude, intimidating & invasive. Very disappointed in the professionalism of the venue and staff.
