Got there early around 10.10am, lots of parking at that time. Paid $10 for parking. You order at the counter after finding your table number, this does Not work if you single and do not want to leave a bag etc on the table. Ordered chicken burger which was good, fries were good too Coffee was ok. Inside had a smell of wet dog, so I sat outside. Decor looked good. Good spot to bring tourists for a view. The gardens around are a nice treat. Enjoy!

Love this place, one of the must visit places in Victoria. View from there is picturesque. Even the ride to reach there is wonderful. Its huge and if you have any visitors from outside Melbourne then this is the first place you can take them to. I love that Giant chair.

A couple of mixed review of this restaurant. Firstly, I would agree the entrance fees is not something we would expect. Nothing spectacular and though on a higher ground, the view depends on time of day and weather. Best to have good clear sky else you will be disappointed. Also, website didn't mentioned entrance fees. We paid $8. Secondly, the restaurant is a bit dated [3] The top level looks posh but is for private function. Below is half bistro, half so call "restaurant". The staff is friendly and doing their best to manage customers. Food [3] as would agree is on the high side. A steak cost $45, not that great and the side is scatter. No wonder the staff advice us to order some sides. Fries cost $9, not huge amount to share for 4. Maze is not big and need to pay. Secret Garden is under maintenance. A small standalone cafe, at the car park with only one staff. We ordered coffee and hot chocolate need to wait a while.

Was a fantastic look out with a tiny garden. The coffee was good. There wasn't really much going on apart from the function room and restaurant. But was good for a visit. There is definitely a better look out just down the road. Burke's look out is a must see. I did not like that we had to pay for parking when there is minimal to do up there.

Just a paid parking lot. The view is fine, but not much to do there other than lookout over the city. - In response to the comments below. I should have been more descriptive. They do have other amenities, however, most of those cost more - like the maze or the restaurant. The garden is very small - it took us about 10 minutes to see all of it. The view is really nice, but again, it is probably not worth the money.

Nice place to spend a day away from city's hustle and bustle. Not much to see around or do for adults. But some activities for kids. The place is a great spot for a picnic with beautiful Melbourne views in the distance. The service at the restaurant could be better, and so is true for the food. However, the bakery items and desserts were all amazing. Must try their Vanilla slice if you have sweet tooth. There's a fixed 7 dollar entry per car and 5 dollar entry for the maze.

An amazing place to visit in Melbourne. It's on hilly area and has a Cafe. Unfortunately Cafe offers limited options and takes little longer if there are more numbers of people. Hie Giant chair is awesome as well as the big letters of SkyHigh. Plenty of parking space with easy access for disabled parking. The location has toilets. The venue has two levels and amazing view from the top. Best time to visit is sunrise or sunset.

Great selection of tasty meals or snacks and hot or cold drinks when dine in. Ready made at counter if required. Reasonable prices on all food Very clean at the tables and friendly staff. Stunning views over Melbourne and Port Phillip. Lots of convenient parking on the summit and beautiful walks through gardens of established plants and trees.

Gorgeous place to visit in such a beautiful warm day. This lovely place has a lot of potential, but needs extra attention, specially the handrails on the little bridge going towards the lookout seems to be unsafe. If you have little children, don't let go their hands as they can easily fall from the bridge.

My daughter got married here last Monday and it was the perfect venue. The team at Sky High were phenomenal to ensure everything was just right. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to be of assistance, the food was delicious, cold beverages flowing all night, the garden ceremony set up and venue looked amazing and the service provided throughout the whole day from the ceremony to the reception was faultless and far exceeded our expectations. We were absolutely thrilled and would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Everybody who attended had an awesome night, it was just the best day. A very big and appreciative thank you to Graham and staff for all you did to ensure the day was simply amazing and a truly memorable experience 👏👏👏 ✅ ✅✅

Very nice and scenic location. The coffees were nice. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean. The chicken focaccia is served cold. Odd that they refuse to warm it up. Luckily it was a hot day so the cold chicken went down okay. In saying that it tasted delicious despite coming out of the plastic packet. The size offers good value for your money. Plenty of seating and parking available around the restaurant. The ordering takes a while as for some reason the line moves very slowly.

Well worth the drive from Richmond. A Christmas celebration with my inlaws. Every Christmas delight you can name. Beautiful views. Very good staff, friendly and helpful. Ample parking. A scenic drive all the way there, heaps to see.

Service person Deb really made our day. We were in Melbourne for almost 2 years and never been there. And gosh, it was a rainy day. We had our little Qainaat with us there and they were very hospitable. Ordered a orio cheesecake and it was fantastic. Spent our time in there before heading back. Couple of things to note; if you want to have dinner there, order early, preferably before going there. They have a nice part of restaurant reserved for that. Second, there is a parking fee of $5 payable at the gate. 7 parking spots, but one close to the restaurant was most convenient. Entry and exit are different. You can go there by bus, from Belgrave or Ferntree gully. There are toilets in the place, the one inside the restaurant was nicer. Outside playground and a maze for kids are also there. Food options are mostly snacks. Lunch or dinner usually are pre-selected by the restaurant and not customisable. Lots of options of wine. Price reasonable. Quantity is good. Service is excellent. Happy hunting!

SkyHigh Mount Dandenong is a spectacular destination that never disappoints. The panoramic vistas of Melbourne and the surrounding Dandenong Ranges are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Whether you visit during the day to enjoy the lush greenery or in the evening to witness a mesmerizing sunset and the city lights coming to life, SkyHigh offers a memorable experience. The gardens are meticulously maintained, making it a fantastic place for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with family and friends. The restaurant serves delicious food with a view that's hard to beat. In summary, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong is a top-notch spot for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking tranquility and breathtaking scenery just a short drive from Melbourne. It's a must-visit that leaves visitors with lasting memories.

Had a lovely evening with friends at the beer garden are set-up at sky high. Amazing atmosphere, I'm a local and attend for sunsets regularly. On this occasion however we had Brodie serve us at the bar and his service was fantastic!! He fielded our multiple orders like a boss, he kept Cyrus in check and ensured the quality of our espresso martini's was exceptional. Highly recommend going to the beer garden and pizza evenings on the lawn and getting Brodie on service he'll make your night! keep up the good work mate, appreciate you making an awesome evening even better. Cheers

The views were amazing but our fine dining experience was meh. The menu was nothing special, food was so bad (chicken was too dry, lamb ribs were burnt) and very highly priced for such poor quality. Customer service was too slow as well.

Great views of Melbourne’s skyline and suburbs. Although short and limited there are a couple of great walks from the Sky high facility. We found out that there is a entrance fee on arrival but it is acceptable. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Unfortunately I can’t comment much to be fair as I hardly see anything due to heavy rain and heavy fog. Paid $8 entrance fee to go in and seeing nothing quite a waste. The cafe there served decent local Australian cuisine and we are buoyed the beef burgers and chicken pie. I believe it would be as beautiful when comes with clear sky to have a good view of the city !

This place has not changed much in years and is becoming boring gradually. Good one time visit for tourists. Good idea to go for a hike at nearby botanical gardens if you visit here. The cafe food is average and overpriced in comparison to the taste and quality. I understand they need to keep the business afloat. Still a decent spot for a relaxed picnic or afternoon if it isn’t much crowded. On a good day it can be pretty crowded and you will struggle to get a good view or a pic taken.

Absolutely love this place. Not only does this place offer you a stunning view from above the hills, but great food too. They also have a picnic area which is so thoughtful. We went there while they also had the beer garden pop-up and could enjoy few drinks in the sunshine. Its a vast area apart from just the restaurant and one can easily enjoy a stroll in the greens too.

We came with kids. Food generally is good and not expensive, food for two adults and two kids with drinks around 130$(pizza do not order-not good), staff nice and friendly! Really good atmosphere. We got a free entry card for the next visit. We will visit again for sure!

Standard pub food quality, food is decent considering the fact that you’re in a remote area. If you want window seating to enjoy the nice view, strongly recommend booking far in advance.

Drive up to area was nice but not much on the SkyHigh place itself. Probably better to come for sunset. English garden was not really a garden. Coffee was decent, but milkshake was horrible. Definitely not worth 7.50. Staff in restaurant were nice and accommodating.

Please don’t go to this place if you are handicapped or someone with you is. The manger of the place has a horrible attitude unfortunately. I will say, the place is beautifully equipped with accessible ramps but the manger was extremely rude and yelling in racist remarks? I really hope whoever is reading this and has some authority could help correct that. Despite that, we still enjoyed the beautiful views, photos below!

Location was breath taking. Food was a bit overpriced, considering the location, i think they’ve adjusted it alright. Such a family-friendly environment. One ahould allocate half a day to be able to enjoy the place as it offered gardens, spectacular view of the city, mazes, wishing well, wishing tree, giant’s chair,. Etc. worth the visit!!

I took my motorbike to this place few weeks ago. The ride was nice, the place offer a beautiful point of view too. I took 2 desserts and milkshake. The desserts good, the milkshake a little less. Friendly staff. There is also few gardens around.

Sky High at the Mount Dandenong is a perfect spot for that cocktail with a sunsets view. If you are lucky and the day is clear, you can also see panoramic view of the Melbourne skyline. It is also family and solo adventure friendly. You could hike up the lookout or bike and drive up. The restaurant at the top could get busy, so book in advance especially during these covid times as the table are reduced. I have been here few times and all my local friends say doesn't matter if you are new or local in Melbourne, the view from up here doesn't get old. It is quiet especial; while you are there also check out the little garden at the back with lots of pretty flowers and a BIG Wishing tree!

Happy New Year 2024 to all my fellow Australians amd all of our international guests from all around the world 🌎. The Dandenong Ranges are absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend this beautiful place here in Victoria. You will not be disappointed that's for sure.

Great views out to the city. The Bay, Macedon Ranges, and King Lake . The bistro was very busy. The maze wasn't open. The English garden was very small. $10 to park on the weekend, I thought, was a bit rich since there is not much there other than the lookout.

  • 5/5 Nakul p. 3 years ago on Google
Great views of Melbourne’s Skyline from the top of Dandenong Ranges. Has a good garden , cafe and restaurant as well. Entry is $7 per car and couple of sculptures and the giant chair to look around. Definitely worth a visit if you are around the Dandenong Ranges.

we made a dinner booking for our 10 year anniversary and we got a table right next to the window. the view was magnificent and the staff were very friendly. our meal was delicious and with how busy it was the wait time wasn’t too long! was a magical night, definitely recommend

We had been there on weekend with Entry fee of $10. It was not too crowded as we visited restaurant past lunch hour. Restaurant has lunch menu until 4 30 PM which has good vegetarian options. Sky high has garden, wishing well and wishing tree which can be visited for free while maze has a entry fee. Overall good to spend hour or two with kids.

Short wait times, incredible food & the mushroom risotto was incredible. I am very picky with pasta but this was perfectly done, definitely will be coming and ordering again. The best risotto I’ve ever had. Lovely getaway dinner place for your family.

It was an amazing view, but before you go there check the weather, because most of the time surrounding will cover the fog, so you can't see the view. Food was good also cappuccino was the best 🤘. Also this place has iconic Melbourne Giant chair and kids maze, which is not for free ( not worthy ).It has a gift shop, but little bit expensive .

SkyHigh Mount Dandenong has been a core part of my childhood and adult life and I love the spot. I've been there as a child, and recently went back here with my children and loved it. Obviously you get a top view, and the food there is great. We had coffee, icecream, milkshakes (healthy stuff lol) and it was wonderful. Great spot and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  • 4/5 Lonely T. 2 years ago on Google
Spectacular Melbourne city view, especially at the sunset. Love the wood fired pizza here. But the gardens and the maze need to be looked after and upgraded.

  • 4/5 Sheena D. 8 months ago on Google
I can only rate the outside seating areas and takeaway available, as the only thing open was the take away/cafe. The restaurant and maze weren't open the day we were there. The actual garden and eating areas were all well kept and clean with plenty of bins to discard rubbish. The small takeaway/souvenir shop was well stocked. In the summer they have a beer garden on top of a shipping container, not large obviously, but quaint as it offers a great view of the city. The gardens are immaculately maintained and the $5 dollar entry very reasonable for what is on offer.

Came here for the lookout. Fantastic view from the cafe on a clear day. Could see all the skyscrapers in the city. Coffee was reasonably priced. Lots of different desserts and cakes available. Muffins too. Breakfast and main courses are available and ok priced. Nice place to stop for a snack and the view from the cafe.

  • 4/5 E P. 8 months ago on Google
Amazing views so worth a visit for that. Although they could make more of the cafe and services. You have to queue up for a long time if it's a busy day to order food, and they insist on you having a table even if you're doing take away which is strange. The food is ok but expensive for what it is. The gardens are lovely but quite small. There is also access to national park woodland trails which are great - but you get these for free in this area so not worth paying entry for. They could do with floor to ceiling windows in the cafe to improve the views for all patrons.

We've been to sky-high multiple times. It's beautiful up here. There's a small entry fee (9$ per car), closes at 10pm daily. Behind the viewing point, there's a small maze and a garden. We've spotted rabbits there multiple times!

Got some nice views but otherwise nothing special. Worth a visit if you have time but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, could be nice for a sunset or sunrise to get that quiet view of Melbourne.

An hour’s drive from Melbourne airport, also about same time from Melbourne CBD is this beautifully located Sky 🌌 High Mount Dandenong. There is a parking 🅿️ fee. They are open 365 days of the year. Beautiful setting.

I had a pleasant time at the venue celebrating our wedding anniversary. Service was excellent (many thanks, Chloe). The restaurant was fully booked but food was served promptly. We were very happy with the mains (duck and lamb). The entrees were delicious, especially the Korean pork belly. The chocolate sphere is a beautiful dessert concoction and not to be missed. Needless to say, the sunset and city skyline views from the restaurant are just stunning.

Plenty of fresh air and a picturesque view of the surrounding towns with the Melbourne City Skyline in the background. Take the public bus if you don't feel like driving and enjoy all the pleasantness of the woods and houses along the route. However, do take note of the bus timetable. The Cafeteria provides excellent food choices and they're deliciously prepared 😋👍

  • 5/5 Anas B. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing views from the top. Good cafe with really good coffee and a restaurant. May have vegan options too. A beautiful English Garden tucked away in a corner as well. Loved it most of all. There are benches there as well where you can have a nice little picnic. No BBQ allowed though, and no ball games for children or dogs. There is a separate BBQ area with 4 BBQ tables which you can book for $2 for 10 mins ($12 for 1 hour). Good experience overall. Parking is charged $8 for 1 car.

Wonderful view. Full stop. "The garden" is very small. For $8 entry i would expect more. Old statue.. old "giant chair".. something else needs to be added to attract people. Cafe is ok, with average food, young kids were working there, so we have been watching for 20min just to order food.. was disappointed in the whole experience

  • 4/5 Liliana L. 2 years ago on Google
Note that there is an entry fee to the car park. The views were not so good on a foggy morning. We had coffee and cake, expect sky high prices for cake. The coffee was excellent and the cakes were delicious. Lovely gardens and a surprise sky high maze for an extra cost. It was lovely and very peaceful on a Tuesday. It was a shame to see lazy people had left litter throughout the gardens.

The food was excellent but felt everything else needs a bit of improvement. SkyHigh restaurant seems a bit confused in what it is intending to be. During the day it is a cafe type thing which is fine but for the night service it seems to be fine dining but with pub vibes. If fine dining is the goal, I would suggest more ambient music and dimmer lighting. Wait staff may also need more training as communication was poor and kind of ruined the evening for us. We arrived 15mins early and were told to sit elsewhere as some large tables had just ordered and they didn’t want the kitchen staff to be overwhelmed. We had to insist on sitting at our actual table as we were happy to wait. 15mins really isn’t that early, and I don’t believe customers should be told what pressure the kitchen staff are under. We are there to celebrate our occasion and relax. Everything was served within a fair time frame and the food was delicious but once our mains were done, no one attended to our table for over 20mins. We were never offered dessert or tea/coffee. The staff seemed preoccupied chatting behind the counter and I ended up having to interrupt and request dessert, at which the waitress advised me the kitchen closes at 8.30pm. Which seemed odd since we didn’t get our mains until 8.40pm. Our booking was at 7.30pm so it was very unlikely we would be through 3 courses in an hour. We should have been advised of the cut off at the beginning and we would have happily ordered desserts when our order was first taken. This was just poor communication. Kindly the kitchen staff did serve us dessert. While we waited the larger table near us who also hadn’t seen any staff for a while had to flag someone to come and take their dessert and hot drinks order. SkyHigh is a beautiful place and serve wonderful food but the communication and organization of the evening really let the overall experience less than desirable. We spent almost $200 for a table of 2 so for that price bracket, I feel it really needs some work in these areas. I hope you will take on my feedback as constructive and help improve the experience for others in the future.
