Absolutely fantastic place. We spent all day here with 2 young kids. Under 3's are free and adults are only 23 euros each. There's 2 different routes with lots to see on each and you get much closer to the animals than any other zoo I've been to. The red route is definitely easier to navigate than the yellow one. There's also a train which takes you round different parts of the park you don't see while walking which is included in the price . If you're in the area then definitely make the trip you won't be disappointed.

A nice open zoo with large area’s for the animals. The red path is a bit more difficult and steep to walk with a stroller but certainly doable. The safari train is loud and only shows a few animals there not visible from the path. The burgers with fries I wouldn’t recommend, the fries were flat and the bun a bit soggy.

Great zoo, areas for the animals seems fairly big,it's a massive place to walk and took over 3 hours too walk round it,their is a safari train for no extra cost but we missed it as too late in the day, there is a cafe and restaurant, food and drink was expensive but was of good quality. Recommended for a whole day out,a family pass is approximately €71

Great experience at Cerza zoo. We never though it was possible to make a safari in Normandie Very positively surprised: a lot of animals in a very large park. A lot to see, the little train is always appreciated by the kids and everything is clean and well organized. Recommended!

Very interesting and nice zoo. Kids enjoyed it so much, me and wife probably not less :) You definitely need to try safari train inside, it goes through the inside of some of animal areas

Probably the best zoo/animal park I've been to. Huge enclosures for animals, but then pathways are well designed so you can see them. My advice with small children: walk the yellow path first (about 2 hrs), then see the red path on the "train", it covers a similar area.

If you are in the area or even passing by, this zoo is well worth the visit. The price of the ticket is relatively cheap for all the extras on offer - train rides, feeding animals and a petting area for the kids. We were lucky enough to have had the chance to hand feed the giraffes which in some zoo’s can cost hundreds. An amazing place and look forward to visiting again next year.

A great place to bring your kids during summer! We walked on the different routes to see a variety of animals up close. Then there's also the train safari that gives you a great view of the place. The enclosures are wide and the animals can roam around. I suggest you wear trail shoes and outdoor clothes because it is really like a forest!

The best zoo I have been so far. It is huge, you can spend an entire day here without getting bored. It’s also surrounded by the nature, not like those in the city, so it brings more atmosphere to the zoo. You can find any animal here and get close contact with them. The entry price is worth it, for all of the fun it can give you here!

A brilliant zoo! The animals are clearly very well looked after and the staff were very knowledgeable about the animals they were looking after. All the staff we spoke to were able to explain facts about the animals in English which was really handy. A reasonably priced shop for souvenirs but the food at the kiosks is a bit expensive, but there is a picnic area in the car park.

A great visit. Two usually mardy kids had about 5 hours happily walking and finally a ride on the train. Loads of animals, happily pottering about and easy to see nearly all of them. The amount of young animals was nice too.

An excellent zoo. Plenty of interesting animals in spacious enclosures. Very clean and modern. Lovely close up experiences of giraffes, kangaroos, lemurs, and parrots. No queues at all when we were there. Everyone loved interacting with the baby goats too 😁.

Have visited many Safaris in UK in the last 20 years but this one stands out by many factors. I must say, never been to so many amazing animals that close. So much variety of animals. Foot safari is so amazing and exceptionally well facilitated by making high level platforms, bridges, viewing areas and walking routes. Just amazing. Full marks

Good day out, lots to see and lots of walking also. The zoo is well spread out, the food place served nice food and the shop was well stocked with lots of things to buy.

We stayed for one night in a lodge. It was a great experience. The animals have a lot of space and the staff are knowledgeable. The main purpose is to raise awareness and educate.

Cerza is a fantastic zoo. Excellent day out for children and adults with so many animals which are kept in large enclosures. The animals look well looked after and have lots of space to roam and climb. The zoo takes a whole day to explore with two circuits (yellow and red). One should be taken in the morning, and the other in the afternoon with no particular recommendation. The boardwalk and path circuits are buggy friendly and there are no steps along the way, some doors/gates are harder to manoeuvre. The circuit is however very hilly and some of the terrain could get muddy when wet. Toilets in the zoo could be better as they look a bit grubby and have no toilet seats. Baby changing facilities could be improved also and not just placed in women's toilet. A lunchtime pitstop can be taken in one of the restaurants at the reception area or if you get hungry along the way or need a break, there are cafés serving sandwiches, croque monsieurs, paninis mid-circuit (one overlooks the zebra enclosure, open in the summer season). Restaurants are Baobab with views of the Giraffe and African Rhino enclosure offering pizza, burger, nuggets, chips etc. and Pagode with views of the Asian rhino, camels and monkeys offering a 3 course sit down meal and buffet. You can bring a picnic but it has to be eaten in the picnic area situated near the car park and not within the park. The zoo offers a safari train which runs very regularly, queues are busiest in the afternoon so recommend taking the train first thing on arrival if possible. No dogs allowed.

Great park with 2 walking routes. This helpes alot with a small Child. Also a free 30 minute train ride. Please lower the volume on the train!

Really good zoo to see the animals but we found the facilities lacking, the toilets dirty and the staff rude. But the animals looked happy and the exhibits were great!

Lovely zoo. We fed the giraffes and used the train to navigate the open plains. Recommended

Absolutely brilliant! Interactive areas with lemurs and goats, you have amazing views of the animals. So unlike a traditional zoo, the animals have so much space and you walk 2 different routes to see the animals, almost like a walking safari. Literally one of the best days out I've ever had. 100% recommend!

Arrived at Cerza around 10am. Paid on the gate then got straight in and parked. Unusually, the ticket guard was on the right, so I never had to get out of my British car to pay! Makes a lovely change!! Worked our way around the red route, then headed for lunch in the restaurant near the entrance. Gorgeous pizza, perfect fries, and an exceptional view overlooking the giraffes and rhinos!! After lunch we headed for the train. So glad we did, as this is the only way to get a good view of the zebras - one of my favourite animals!! Not only is the view decent, but you're in the enclosure with them!!! After the train, we completed the yellow route, taking a couple of hours. Both routes could be faster, but we wanted to enjoy the views! The animals that you can see are breathtaking! They have so much room, and I loved that they're in mixed enclosures!!! If we return to France, we'll certainly be returning to Cerza. An incredible day!! Key highlights were the baby pygmy goats that we could stroke, and the giraffes that we could be up close with, along with the lion settling down and roaring right in front of us!! Amazing!

Incredible safari park! It's beautiful to see how well the animals are doing. No apathetic behaviour, just animals living in semi freedom. All other zoo's should look at this one to see how they should build their park and care for the animals. There was one big irritation factor, wasps everywhere. Really annoying. But that is not something you can control in summer in France.

One of the best zoos I've been to. The animals have lots of space to roam. Hope to one day come back and stay in a chalet

Fantastic zoo set in a large location with plenty of space for all animals. Plenty of walking to be done but there is also a road train to break the walking up a bit.

  • 5/5 Elodie Q. 2 years ago on Google
Loved it. Although I do believe animals belong in the wild, the animals there had plenty of space and the Zoo participates actively in breeding programmes to protect endangered species. The food is pricey but good. There is a picnic area near the car park, perfect when the weather is good (in Normandy it's a gamble as it's very wet).

The animals have plenty of space and they are healthy. The parc is like a big beautiful garden. It's a pleasure to walk around with kids but also without 😉. However I don't recommend it for people having difficulty walking long distances

Absolutely wonderful healthy looking happy animals with incredible huge habitats. The two walking routes allow you to see everything in an orderly way (save at least 3.5 hours for the two) and the walks were not strenuous (my 3 year old coped fine). The giraffes come right up within 20cm of you, the tigers also come very close and it’s honestly the best zoo I’ve ever been to. All the animals in Cerza have been bred in captivity but have fantastic homes with a lot of space to be away from the public when they want to be.

Had a nice time at the Safari park. The day was cold and blustery and some of the animals were sheltering from the wind so didn't make an appearance. However we really enjoyed seeing those that braved the weather. The park was clean and accessible and there has obviously been a lot of work building new features, such as walkways, and maintaining existing ones. I recommend a visit, but maybe on a warmer day. Our highlight of the day was definitely the Gibbons' acrobatics! 🙂

Nice park but not really good customer service....it was a snowy day, most of the animals where indoors so we didn't really get to see them properly + the visit in the train was out of service because of the weather and they made you pay the full price. That's really not cool they could've atleast tell us before to pay or explain the conditions of the park.... However we enjoyed or day in the park playing in the snow.

Best Zoo I have ever visited. Came across it by seeing a random flyer in a shop. The Zoo is well maintained and there are two walking routes which cover all the animals. There are a lot of animals in the zoo and they have spacious enclosures. For those not inclined to walking there is a safari train which covers the highlights.

Amazing, beautifully structured and kept zoo, with a very clear conservation mission. Saw animals I had never seen before. We loved it
