Very nice family run hotel. It's very basic, no spa, gym or something like that. But to be honest, I don't need that. All I need after a long day in meetings is a roof over my head, a bed, a shower and a broadband Internet connection for watching movies. It's all there and free of charge. The breakfast is also basic, but very good. Service and staff are very professional and very helpful. This is what a family business is all about! I like the concept based on trust - there is a fridge in the dining room stocked with a variety of drinks, 2€ each which is pretty fair in my opinion. Self service based on trust... I really like that.(see picture). Railway and Bus station Ratingen Ost is just a two minute walk from the hotel. Last but not least I really enjoyed my two nights stay and I slept well, which is usually not the case when I have to stay in a hotel.

Rooms, Breakfast, Prices, staff and location good - up to here four stars. But: molded bathroom, totally awful. Look at the photos, nothing more to say… Sorry, but therefore only one star possible.

Pleasant & friendly hotel in Ratingen very close to Ratingen Ost station & thus easy commute into Dusseldorf. About 5 mins walk into Ratingen centre. Very friendly & helpful reception staff. Doesn't seem to have a lift although only has around 3 floors. I was given a room on second floor. Although it was a single booking room seemed quite large with large comfortable bed. Hotel has a traditional feel with old style key locking to rooms & front door. Everything clean & comfortable quiet neighbourhood so i slept well. TV channels seemed a bit limited Breakfast was good quality with usual continental & hot choices. I think building is quite old & there seem to be small steps everywhere inside. Overall friendly hotel with basic facilities, not my first choice in Ratingen but would stay again.

We had a late check-in, but they made that super easy. The rooms are very nice and have comfortable beds. The bathrooms were a bit snug, but not a problem. Everything was delightful and the breakfast is tasty. Parking was the only real problem. There were not enough reserved spaces and we had to park 'mildly' illegally. Thankfully no ticket.

I like it, I will be back soon !!!

Clean rooms. We had a problem with dior code which was solved fast by a kind employee. Great place for stay.

Reception doesn't exist. Breakfast was only offered online but not in the hotel. Renovations are ongoing, would be better if the hotel close untill they are done. In every floor you can see a WLAN Router but nowhere the Details for the use and LogIn. Rooms are OK.

I am happy I finally got here. Had to make lots of changes to my stay dates prior arriving. All been accepted. It was almost effortless. Although it was a lot of effort to make my christmas bookings this year -:) Festive decoration is a marvel. Quite and cosy place. Very good scent in the house. Thats important for me actually. I have a double room on ground floor. The room is of very good size and very clean. Breakfast area is well measured. The buffet is very thought through and the bacon really is as crisp and fresh as they show on instagram. That makes me so happy as even good 4 star hotels in zurich tend to be sloppy with the bacon preparation. But not here, here he bacon is fresh, crisp and dark -:) happy once more. I grew up in this area and I do confirm sleeping in is no problem. The house is allocated on a side street. This place is definately worth a booking.

Nice hotel. Loved it!

The hotel is centrally located in Ratingen. Furthermore the nearest station is only 5 minutes away and so you can reach the next city within short time. The breakfast is simple and good and the room was pleasantly bright and clean. In the morning it can get a bit louder during work days.

Free parking in the streets around the hotel, close to Düsseldorf airport, friendly staff, clean rooms, good beds, good shower!

A very friendly couple runs this hotel. They were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great beds as well, slept great! Breakfast is plenty. We would definitely come again.

I had such a nice memory at Barnarosa 4 years ago. This time I am afraid it was rather disappointing due to a smelly bathroom although I really like this family run hotel. A mistake can be made and I hope that it would be improved soon. Location is great to commute to Dusseldorf during exhibitions and very easy to access to the city centre on foot during biz trips
