Buyer Beware! I was on vacation for 1 week and wanted to work out at this due to convenience. The best package I was offered was 3 month/ $199, which I agreed to. Two weeks later, home in NJ, I see another charge on my credit card for another $191! I called to find out what was going on, and was told I had signed a year long membership for almost $200/ month. I was shocked because the girl who had given me the original 3 month offer (Ines) knew I was there for only 1 week and she even had my NJ gym membership Information. A pure bait and switch. I then proceeded to try to speak with the general manager, Aubrey Hoffman, who told she couldn't refund my $191 because I didn't request it early enough!?!? What?? I requested as soon as I saw the charge which was still March! They had already billed me for April in mid March. Just crazy. Basically just crooks who are trying to have me pay almost $400 for 1 week of working out. Terrible management and even worse, just terrible people. Beware.

Was Looking for a new gym.. New to Miami and they wouldn't even let me test the gym for 1 day(never seen that before)... Very snooty attitudes. This kind of service comes back to haunt businesses in the future. Crunch is a much better gym without the attitude. I like supporting businesses who stand behind their product and are just good, down to earth people. I'm joining Crunch tomorrow

The parking lot can be misleading. The lockers are pretty old not as the ones on other locations, the staff is more welcoming and friendly tho.

Parking and access are nice but this is the last of the FL locations I would choose to visit. It’s quite outdated and dirty for an Equinox and its location keeps it always packed. The locker rooms are definitely not up to the Equinox standards and are quite dirty and smelly. When I went, It very much reminded me of the smell, cleanliness, and crowd of a Planet Fitness. 🤮

Please, do yourself a favor and do not sign up for equinox south beach. It is one of the oldest equinox gyms that they have in their portfolio and is outdated beyond belief. twice in a span of a couple weeks, did we receive an email saying to use other facilities because the AC is broken. Not to mention that they have equipment that has been broken since i signed up in November of last year. I have been to other equinox gyms that merit the name of “equinox” this gym feels like a discount version of a discount gym. I have spoken to staff at two locations and they have both said that south beach does not merit to have the equinox badge as the quality and environment is bad. Not to mention the parking attendant finds pleasure in making sure every interaction you have with him is miserable. I signed up without visiting the location which in hindsight was a mistake but i was used to the high quality experience of equinox and thought this would be the same! I asked to cancel and they won’t allow it. Do Bot make the mistake i made and do not give them your money. Lifetime and any other gym is a better use of your money than equinox south gym! Shame on equinox for making their members put up with this! Let me Cancel my membership!

Coming from a Manhattan Equinox, I had high expectations. Unfortunately due to COVID and experiences at this location, I must give it a below satisfactory review. Good: The location is perfect. Parking is not free but most places in SoBe is this way. The equipment is good and the gym is clean. I was always greeted when I came into the gym. Extremely personable staff and trainers. Never had an issue with someone being rude or anything. Not so good: Personal training honestly depends on your trainer. I did the $1450/month package with a Tier 3 PT. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I have a very relaxed personality and sometimes it gives wave for people to slack on their jobs. The PT kept making promises about my program and just never held up his end of the bargain. I never received a nutrition plan, never was told what I should be doing on "non training days". Felt like I was doing pretty much everything on my own. The PT also had an injury that made a few things more complicated (ie. demonstrating exercises, etc.). Overall, this gym is an equinox brand and it does hold true to that. It's an awesome place to work out solo! I ended up switching locations and trainers to better suit my fitness needs/goals.

The sales reps will lie to your face. The youngest rep they had, Ines Merabet, was desperate for a sale so she told me to try out the gym for free yesterday and then start a membership later on as I wasn’t interested in starting a membership for another month or so. I didn’t want the membership until August. (35+ days away) I asked multiple times to be sure and triple checked that there would be NO charges, No start-up fee, No hidden tricks, No surpises, NO CHARGES until the following month if I gave them my information. This rep lied to me over and over, it was said and assured that there would be no charges yesterday, none until the following month. Why was I charged $350.00 when I left? I called and they tried to change the narrative. All they’ll do is argue. Bad salespeople over there, bad business. I didn’t give them permission to start ANYTHING for several weeks.

This is a bright and convenient Equinox. Spacious on second floor of new building. No digital locks on lockers but they’ll loan you a padlock and key. Big Juice bar never seems open. The street entrance is a bit challenging to find first time though. It’s a sliver of doorway in the middle of the block. The accessible entrance is around the corner.

Well-equipped gym, but are older, always clean and organized, towels available to members, group classes, yoga, spa, etc. It has contracted parking with 2 hours free, after that $2 an hour (Monday to Friday), Saturday the value is fixed $10. The prices are not very attractive, they are a high, there are other options for the city with a lower price. Search!

Nice, and lots of classes. But I chose another gym because Equinox closes too early. And the machines are the EXACT ones I used at most LA Fitness locations over the past couple years. They just paint the Equinox logo on them.

This evening, I sent my fiance over to join per my recommendation, and at 7:00 PM tonight he was told 1) they could not sign him up then and there and 2) he could not work out. He asked for any solution- your employees insisted that the membership advisors had left so THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. No guest pass offered. Is this right? Turning away a new client because the member advisor left? Is this equinox policy? Otherwise, I have to speculate the reasons as to why he was turned away. I personally (not your employee) know you can sign up online so I ask why your employees didnt offer that as a solution? They lost equinox a client and me a workout partner and a referral credit! not to mention very rude that this man was not allowed to pay and enter and workout.

Classy at the begining But let me tell you why you shouldnt donat to this coporat machine gym I am a tourist and iv explayned to them in the begining i need this place for limited time. You cannot pay for a limited time. The sales represntive told me i need to let him know before the 23 of the month and bring a statment from my Bank in my country that i actually have bank acount in order to cancel the payment. I did so. When i typed the mail adress i did a speling mistake so he didnt get my mail. Iv asked him on the 24 personaly and he told me that i did a mistake and cuz im late i need to pay for the next month even that im not there. Funny right? I sent costumer service. And no replay I send to the mangers main but no replay The phone line never vacant to talk to them Worst costumer expirience ever Dont go Thank you for stealing me 218$ P.s teachers are great Staff nice Costumer service and sales are the Scamers

Unprofessional staff- charge $150 for 3 day pass. Confronted by mgmt for smelling bad after … working out ? Guess most ppl here just scroll on their phones

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Made an exception and loaned me a lock. Some of the same instructors as the other gyms so that is good. Comfortable lounge area. Wasn’t packed at 6pm on a Thursday. Missing basic amenities though. You have to bring your own lock unlike the other 3 Equinox gyms in the area. They don’t have water fountains to refill your water bottle. Would be nice if they listed the floor of the gym and how to park in the Equinox app or website. You only get 2 hrs of validated parking unlike the 3 hours with the other 3 Equinox Florida gyms. There is a “no guns” sign when you walk in - should I be concerned and alarmed about having to post that sort of notice?

EDIT: Their new manager wasn’t informed but the staff that was around when I signed up made sure she got up to speed and my issue was resolved! Thanks Team. As a basis for signing up, I was guaranteed I could freeze as often as I needed. I have a disability and I was promised they would accommodate without any issue. Now when I come to request they keep their promise all they say is “sorry you’re having a hard time” and keep repeating themselves like robots. Do not believe what is promised to you, they’ll say anything to get someone to sign up.

Fantastic interior. Clean, fresh, tons of equipment, and people focused on health. Great sauna. Showers are always clean, sauna never breaks down. Perfect facilites after a workout. The spa is awesome. Frida is a magician. Healing hands. Fantastic massages. This is coming from someone born with spinal issues, her massages have changed my standard of living. As has the gym itself. If you want to spend your money on your Health on this island of otherwise, EQX is the place.

Great experience there ! I got handled by Shaun, who was very nice, professional and provided me with a few days pass to be able to test the facilities. I'll be sure to come back and subscribe to Equinox when I have the chance ;)

Hands down the best gym I have ever been at, I used to bounce back between Brickell and South Beach location. Very special place, spacious, best equipment and hospitality with juice bar. Higher management Mariana Leon at South beach is so friendly and helpful. She sets the bar so high that is why the rest of the staff are so friendly and nice every time I would make a visit. Thank you!

My gym instructor is a highly recommended trainer. I have been with her for so long now and have gained significant strength in my arms, legs, and abs. She motivates me everyday to the fullest. If you want to achieve a physically fit body, just choose her!

I love the fact that Equinox has a South Beach location. I love this Equinox South Beach location because it's right next to the beach. I love the views that this location gives off, inside and outside of the gym.

It is a great place not just to pump iron, but also to meet people.Impeccably clean and organized.

I travel worldwide for business and I was looking for a gym for a couple of days and the attendant was rude and told me they charge 135 USD / day!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about South Beach’s Equinox Fitness! (And no, I do not work there.) First of all, the gym staff is obsessive-compulsive about cleanliness —you will constantly see the staff cleaning the equipment as well as the floor, televisions and towels, windows, etc. I have NEVER seen such attention to detail (at least in a gym). Second, the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly AND educated when it comes to training and dieting. Third, they are constantly seeking to improve their approach to customer service as well as the overall gym experience. But, for me, what sold me on becoming a member was the down-to-earth personalities of the staff and sincere interest they demonstrated when communicating with members (myself included, obviously). I guess one could say “for $166/month, of course they’re going to be nice” —but the quality of people and their character/personality truly did not seem fake to me. Like anyone, they have their own bills to pay and lives to live, sure, but what was different about this staff is that they were their own family, who also made it a point to make their members a part of their family. And it really didn’t seem fake! So, what am I saying? What I’m saying is that if you’re looking for a gym that has it all plus is super clean, then Equinox is for you. But if you are looking for the aforementioned plus a great group of people who seek to become your friends, then Equinox will become a part of you. Now, honestly, how many businesses do we know of that endeavor to do this...?
