I
was
killing
time
waiting
to
pickup
my
passport,
so
I
hiked
several
miles
and
worked
up
a
thirst
(and
a
need
to
use
the
bathroom).
I
got
into
line
and
a
black
gentleman
asked
if
I
had
change
for
a
$50,
as
the
clerk
was
refusing
to
take
a
fifty
on
a
$20+
order.
I
said
that
I
didn’t
have
any
cash,
but
I
offered
to
pay
for
the
gentleman’s
food
(which
had
already
been
prepared).
The
female
clerk
appeared
annoyed.
I
added
a
soda
and
bag
of
chips
to
the
order
and
paid
the
$25
on
my
credit
card.
I
then
asked
to
use
the
bathroom,
and
the
clerk
told
me
it
was
out
of
order.
Fair
enough
(even
though
there
were
two
stalls,
and
it
seemed
a
bit
unlikely
they
would
both
be
out
of
service).
I
sat
down
at
a
table
to
eat
my
chips
and
drink
my
soda.
About
20
minutes
later
two
older
Hispanic
women
entered
the
store
and
asked
this
same
clerk
to
use
the
bathroom.
She
promptly
unlocked
the
men’s
restroom
for
the
one
woman,
and
they
both
proceeded
to
use
the
facilities.
The
restroom
had
not
been
serviced
between
when
I
asked
to
use
it
and
when
she
permitted
the
two
older
women
to
use
it.
I
politely
asked
the
clerk
why
she
had
refused
me
access
to
the
facilities
but
allowed
the
women
to
use
the
restroom,
and
she
fumbled
through
an
improbable
explanation
about
the
facilities
being
out
of
service
until
10:30.
I
will
not
speculate
as
to
her
motivations,
but
this
case,
but
this
conduct
seems
consistent
with
the
very
many
other
reviews
left.
