We did not have a great experience at this hotel. We stayed there for a weekend, it was very warm, 30 degrees Celsius. The elevator did not work, we had to carry our bags to 3rd floor. No one informed us that the elevator is out of order, no one offered any help with the luggage. There was no air conditioning on the staircase. Air conditioning in our room was also not working properly. The reservation was made by my boyfriend, I sent all details to you by email.

I’m here for a business trip and forgot my teeth brush at home. I asked the reception if I can have a disposable one (that almost every hotel has). To my surprise, they were selling it for 6 euros…….. I was shocked. It was in a hotel disposable packaging. It’s a little thing but shows the service. Very disappointing

Not a bad room, comfortable. Delicious meals in the restaurant. But It is very disappointing that you can visit the pool only by appointment, as it is small so that it is not too crowded. And the sauna on the second floor is not safe, you can slip down when you go down.

Price-quality is great! Good location to park the car and use the train to reach Amsterdam or Utrecht. Clean and tidy rooms and good breakfast. The pool and wellness area is cozy and perfect to chill out. Friendly staff.I just do not recommend the restaurant for dinner.

One of the nicest hotels, just outside Amsterdam, very easy to get to Amsterdam by car or train. Lovely restaurant, perfectly cooked beef. Will definitely come back!

It is a nice hotel. The food is good and their signature apple sauce is delicious! They have good selection of drinks as well. This hotel is wheelchair friendly. The location is convenient. It is right next to the highway, close to a train station and P+R. The hotel has a huge parking spot. This is a big business hotel. They have huge dining area which is very well maintained. The environment is quite nice. Although it is big, it is warm and cozy. The staffs were hospitable. This place is good for breakfast/lunch/dinner as well as for big events. The only downside is the services are very slow. We waited for over an hour for our food to arrive. I am giving 3 stars because of the one hour wait.

The 2nd time that a coffee cappucino tasted like..... If the machine was not cleaned for a long time.... sorry 😔

Hi, today I visited the restaurant at this location, and had a very pleasant stay there for dinner with my daughter. It was quite crowded, but the service was fast and friendly. We had a good meal, the food was nice and up to a good standard. So we were pleased to have a great meal after a very busy day and a slow traffic on the road. Van der Valk is very much recommended by me, from my own experience over the years.

Restaurant is straightforward; nice enough, but no frills. The service is straightforward too: no effort, whatsoever. My wife and I literally stood up, put our coats on and stood in the middle of the dining area for 15 minutes. We asked two members of staff for our bill. Not a word of apology when it eventually came.

Mixed bag. Rooms are great. Reception staff member was rude on arrival. Our waiter in the evening (very tall guy) was outstanding. Cocktails overpriced and watery. All in buffet was good - lots of choice and good quality, but also overpriced. Like I say... mixed bag! We won't be returning.

Beautiful place to stay, but construction beneath our room woke us up early. And hotel staff never listened to our requests or took any responsibility when the room wasn't made up correctly. Would not recommend.

Van der Valk Breukelen was one of my best hotels, but after this last experience, I don't know what to say. Lack of cleanliness (you can see lime all over the bathroom and the room full of dust) I did not like the food at all (only the breakfast was perfect) and the lack of customer service on the part of the reception, my room was very cold and the heater did not work, I complained twice and they told me that they would fix it, but nobody fixed it. I left very disappointed!

First the positives - good value for money - closeness to the train station - amazing Breakfast - very good spa amenities My first stay couple of months ago was 5star . So that a time I decided to upgrade the stay to a suite . What went wrong ( hence 3 star) The cleanliness of the room was very poor . One would specially expect a better service in Suite - water leaks out of shower cabin and fills up the suites area.I plugged it with towels and to my surprise the cleaning person didn’t remove them till the evening - dustbins not emptied when I return back in the evening - tv remote didn’t work I asked the reception twice on two separate days ( day 1 and day 2 ) to replace the remote . but the person on the call said - just remove the battery and tap it on your hand and the remote will work . Is this professionalism? Finally I had to come downstairs in the third day and dump the remote on the reception. This is not 4 star service . Chaotic Checkout : - During the checkout the person responsible had no clue that I had a deposit on my card . - I was charged for minibar package that I didn’t even use ( Vanderbilt dient has amenities in the minibar even unsuited you have to buy it at the hotel counter as a minibar basket) . The person said that I will check this with my cleaning ladies and get that refunded later . The first principal of a guest and host is trust . Which I found missing . I pay close to a thousand euros for a suite over 5 days and why would one steal for 15 euros . Concierge service : While checking out I requested for a cab after 15 minutes .as I would want pro have my breakfast The person called the cab right away and was trying to stupid talk me into taking the cab and I quote him „the next cabs will only be available after 1 hour maybe“ Do you think that guests are stupid. I didn’t even get a chance to grab a proper breakfast on the last day because of the gentlemen’s stupidity. The consistency of the service depends on people and looks like the owners need to work in that consistency . Will I visit again yes . As I like the chain overall . Hope to see this fixed

Live cooking is really nice, lots of choice and all fresh. Lovely staff, but people behind food were not aware of what is being offerd, we heard "I don't know" or "Read the board" all the time :)

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good for going with public transportation. Or with the car, you get free parking tickets. In the close you vicinity you only got a trainstatian and a McDonald's. The room is good and the bathtub in the room is bubbly. The swimming pool and sauna is fun too.

Very convenient location when visiting Utrecht but also next to a railway station for easy access to central Amsterdam. Plenty of parking and close to the motorway. The hotel is comfortable and has all the facilities you could want including wellness centre.

Just wanted to meet someone have a talk over a coffee. There was some private event so we ended up sitting in the lobby, without coffee.

This is a really nice location, easy access from the highway and by train. The location is really nice and when u walk in you feel the luxury. I had a lunch there and the lunch was exceptional, the variety is insane and the service is top quality. We had a business meeting in one of the business rooms and it was really nice and quite.

Large hotel, lovely interior decoration. Very large and clean room and bathroom. Always a pleasure to stay at a Vandervalk.

One of our favourite Van der Valk restaurants we’ve been to. The food and service are definitely up to par of what you expect of Van der Valk. They have a good menu, fast and friendly service and we love their desserts.

Good quality hotel, big space parking,Mcdonals nearby, next to the station, big room, cool design, very nice bed 😍 we come from the East and tomorrow we go to the airport in the morning and i think this place is good place to be before flight, little far but by car only 20minutes :) and train is next door

Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff in the bar. The restaurant accepts so many visitors for dinner that residents can't get in which is a real problem because the only other things within walking distance are the train station and Macdonald's. The hotel is fine but it really is in the middle of nowhere.

Hotel very well situated close to the train station. To Amsterdam about 30 minutes by train. The only thing I was afraid of was the location close to a busy highway (5 lanes each way). But the soundproofing of the rooms was exemplary and the only thing that could be heard at night was a gentle hum of air conditioning. I recommend renting a room in the newly built part behind the swimming pool. Silence, peace and luxury. The breakfast buffet at a very high level should also be mentioned. Overall, a very good hotel worth recommending.

Very nice hotel with several different rooms. The highway nearby is not to hear. The breakfast is very complete (warm and cold parts). Diner is real good, but there are a lot of people visiting the restaurants. The service in the restaurant is very quick and friendly.
