Freshest of seafood of all varieties. Walt staff friendly and helpful making good suggestions of foods that complement each other. Great atmosphere with pictures from Alaska of fishing boats, maps, and indigenous peoples and relaxing music.

This place is awesome and a true gem! My first time visiting Amsterdam and so I was looking for something that would boast a local feel and resident atmosphere. Well I found it at Frank’s Smoke House. Walking in the door you’ll notice a small refrigerated displace case to your left where the locals can come in and purchase their meats without paying the markup to have them prepare it for you. Then just to the right is a bar you can pull up to and have a drink with your board of meat. Otherwise around the corner there is seating for about 50 people. The menu starts with what they are known for, the smoked fish and meat boards. They also have a fantastic cheese board that in my opinion compliments the rest. The have a selection of appetizers and sandwiches as well if you’d prefer. For today, I wanted to local. First I had to get one of their house brewed beers, the Smoke House Eagle. It was a really good beer. You could really taste the smoke in it. Great job guys! Ok so I started with the local favorite, Smoked Eel. OMG! I have never experienced eel before but this was absolutely amazing!! If you like smoked fish of any kind, you MUST try the eel! It was so buttery smooth and just melted in my mouth. Served with an accompanying toast that is super thin cut and toasted to perfection! Then for the main course I ordered the salmon board and the cheese board. I can honestly say that I have never had smoked salmon that was this good! Wow it really blew me away! There were 3 or 4 different types and they were all really great. The cheese board was excellent as well. The cheese was freshly cut and served along side some blueberry compote and some thinly sliced green apple. Seriously this place is a MUST DO for anyone local or just visiting! If I ever make it back to Amsterdam, I will visit again.

Great place to chill. There’s outdoor space with good sun to relax, have beers and little bites in; a deli with smoked goods inside as well as a proper sitting space inside for food. They serve a lovely smoked beer here that pairs well with their smoked platters. The oysters and smoked cheeses are decent and the smoked fishes are lovely. If you’re in the mood for wines, Frank and Monique will gladly help you find something up your alley. On Thursday’s after 5, they have a barbecued ribs special.

We had launch there with my boyfriend. We had a lovely time. The waiter was super nice. The food was really good. We had fish’n’chips for my bf, the smoked burrata sandwich with fries for me. The fries were so good! We had the cheesecake for dessert and it was to die for! It wasn’t expensive as we paid 40€ for 2 dishes, a dessert and a beer. I highly recommend ✨

We had their Franksgiving meal tonight that you reheat at home and boy was it tasty! Would highly recommend 😊 Lekker!

Excellent service and food. We had the fish and meat sharing boards which were excellent and very tasty and very well priced. The steaks were popular with our party and the brisket is one main course I can highly recommend. Overall excellent value for money, good and flavours amazing and friendly welcoming staff. poor customer service, small bread for 11 euros, the crab and shrimp spread they put is so small... plus when I left a woman came to me outside while about to leave because I have to work and said I did not pay (which I did) I feel a bit embarrassed so I went straight inside and paid immediately and found out that I paid twice and they even have the nerve to be sarcastic specially the owner they did not even say sorry... btw in the winter you cant sit inside because its so small and customers are standing while eating not even the best in Amsterdam, taste is average you can go to Albert Cuypmarkt for a better... definitely not coming back...

While visiting from the United States, we stopped into FRANK'S SMOKE HOUSE. The smoke is absolutely beautiful with all its cured meats. The restaurant is super clean.. The staff was nice.. The menu was not accurate. They only served pre-made deli sandwiches. We wanted no spreads. So it was a bummer. The sandwich was ok.

Had a Very tasty and freshly smoked salmon sandwich with crab cake. Just second to none quality. Great and friendly owner and employees. Highly recommended.

Amazing place. We walked by for two oysters to-go but we had such a nice talk to the owner that we decided to stay. Everything is smoked at this place, from the salmon to the beers - there are also non-smoked beers and snacks if you're not into this

The smells drew us in as we walked back to our hotel from the brewery and we picked up some lovely smoked salmon and pork terrine for a picnic snack/dinner.....the staff were friendly, helpful and the food was out of this world! Highly recommend.

Decent restaurant as the food was only ok. Ordered a smoked meats platter with side of pickled vegetables as a starter and it was all a bit underwhelming. The smoked Duck was excellent though and really stood out. The main course was a smoked brisket with hardly any smoke flavor and the meat was very dry. The service was very friendly and the restaurant looks good.

Beautiful place really clean good quality of products and great sandwiches. Looking forward to coming again to Amsterdam just to eat some sandwiches in this lovely place.

We ordered 2 smoked, stuffed chickens and they were delicious! The woman working when I picked them up was so friendly and gave me great details on how to properly cook them since I was cooking more than one. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend noticed the smoked scend from outside and we grabbed a sandwich for our walk Delicious! The fish was perfectly smoked and just slightly spicy, enough to feel it but you could still taste the delicate flavours of the other ingredients. The two people who served us were also very nice VERY recommended:)

I grew up eating smoked fish as a delicacy and the fresh smoked fish here rivals my best memories. Plus, the store staff is exceptionally friendly! Highly recommend.

Picked up Faroe smoked salmon 500g. The cut is perfect. Highly recommend, service was great and the beef steaks looked amazing too.
