Veterans Park is a beautiful day trip to be had by the whole family! There is plenty of free street parking as well as many places within the park. There are beautiful trails along Lake Michigan and also an inner trail by a lagoon. The lagoon hosts paddle boat rentals that look like swans. They also have kite rentals and have warm season movie nights. There were plenty of places to have a bbq close to the lake. The park is quiet, very safe and relaxing. They had picnic tables and park benches around the park too! There are many species of birds. I was able to catch glimpses of red wing blackbirds, loons, geese and ducks!

It was really nice and pleasant. Great time for a couple or 4 friends. Its good exercise, dj using your phone and drift away. The pedal is smooth, its never over crowded, however the water is contaminated so you can't touch it, swim, etc. It kinda makes you paranoid but nothing splashes and the entry and exit is smooth with no drift or tipping. Overall it was nice. I brought my drink in my purse and felt like 1 hr of freedom. ❀

Nice Park, Awesome view of the Lake Michigan, plenty of room to walk, roller blading, bicycle rides, kite flying, or just a relaxing picnic with a friend or family. Today we parked nearby and watched the air show beautiful breeze, as we watched the Blue Angel's scream overhead. Clean, peaceful definitely worth coming down here and enjoying yourself. Endless open space. We Salute are Veterans, Beautiful place to share time together and honor the ones that served and secured are Freedom. Thankyou to all Veterans and Milwaukee for maintaining this park and facility. οΏΌ

Beautiful park with a fabulous view of the city skyline and the lake. Wonderful walking paths and open grass areas. Took a long stroll and flew a kite in the field of grass. The kite store had cold drinks and snacks along with kites and other items for sale.

Great view of the city skyline from the lake, the memorial is well designed, and the large open park by the lake is perfect to let kids run around and still keep an eye on them. I'm down here once a week in summer, one of my favorite places to put in headphones and stroll around

Nice scenic park. You can rent pedal (swan) boats, tandem bicycles, and pedal carts to ride. There are many benches along the bike/walk path to sit and enjoy the lake and watch the sailboats. Plenty of free parking space. Enjoyed a sunny afternoon here with my husband.

Came here to see Green Day and I will say I wish I knew there was a closer entrance to the stage it wasn't very clear on the digital map. Their bag and water bottle policy was clearly stated on their website though and staff was very friendly and helpful! One of the best nights of my life!

Nice park and amazing views of the city and the lake, the only thing is that dogs owners do not clean up after their dogs.

What a gorgeous, open lakefront park. I was visiting from Chicago, which certainly has some nice lakefront spaces itself, but this great recreation space is just incredible. Nice trails, restrooms, and places to grab a snack or drink when needed.

I enjoy taking a stroll along Lake Michigan in Milwaukee from time to time. Well let's say I do it weekly with my fiance. These strolls can involve quite a few pictures being taken at scenic places. Hope you all enjoy these pictures in particular on an April afternoon with gloomy and overcast weather.

We spent Saturday evening at the Milwaukee Water Lantern Festival held at Veterans Park. Very casual, peaceful atmosphere. There was music and several food trucks. Once nightfall hit we released our lanterns.

Beautiful park for walking running and outdoor activities. We went here from the beach picnic on a nearby beach. We swing by to see this place it it was awesome. It was late afternoon when we arrive and it was getting dark but the sceneries are beautiful and the view of the city too.

My favorite park in Milwaukee. Look to see when the sun rises then be walking on the trail as it raises in winter or summer and it's beautiful ! Parking is plenty but wear rain boots in the winter because even if it's not snowing the grass is muddy.

Me and my dad went here for the air and water show and we had the best view you could ever hope for. Great place any time of the year

Great place for a walk, picnic, kite flying or bike ride! They have paved walking trails that are wide enough that you don't have to worry about getting run over and they connect to a couple of places of interest and of course the view of the lake is absolutely gorgeous!

Nice space to go for a walk while visiting downtown Milwaukee. Perfect views of both the water and looking back towards the skyline. You can relax on a bench or just walk around! Very pretty, clean bathrooms.

Gorgeous park with a great view of the water. We happened to visit on the perfect day - 80* with a slight breeze. They have swan paddle boats and kite rentals which I’m hoping to check out on our next trip to Milwaukee. Definitely worth a stop!

Not a bad Park. Lots of space for events, kite or radio plane flying, or your dog to run around on the grass. There are bathroom facilities and lots of free parking. There is a shop to buy kites and ice cream. There's also a paved path that runs the length of the park and beyond which many joggers and bicycles use.

Pretty park right on the lake. They have a shop where you can rent multiple person pedal bikes, ashop to buy kites & a snack shop with awesome ice cream. A little ways across the park they have swan paddle boat you can rent & pedal around the lagoon. There are lots of sidewalks to walk on & its fun to sitc& watch sailboats

Beautiful spot to relax. Get your mind off some stuff. Great walking trails. There’s also a shop to rent a bike and concession stand as well if you want to grab a little snack. Paddle Sean boats are available as well. My personal favorite is the beautiful view of Lake Michigan and Downtown Milwaukee. I recommend taking a little visit here
