1 star Michelin that lived up to its billing. The name makes the place sound French, but it's considered a washoku restaurant, although I wouldn't call most of their dishes very traditional Japanese dishes. Food overall was really good, but no particular dish was mind blowing. My favorite part of the restaurant is their creative names for each dish. Each name is in the form of a word game similar to a rebus puzzle. It was quite fun trying to figure each name before the dish arrived.

Hidden away and part of the next door boutique hotel la Bombance delivers on every level , high end japanese food executed to perfection. Staff is bilingual so you have no problem understanding what to order , we went for the set lunch menu which was an excellent choice consisting of a variety of beautifully arranged specialities . Although each dish was bite sized the food left nothing to desired and we left pretty full actually . I think the place is a must try the interior minimalistic zen style .

I went to this place for a birthday celebration. The set menu dinner has 9 dishes cost 15,000yen . Every dish is extremely tasty . I understand why they have a French name because the food is fusion. Judging the beautiful china they are using I can say is definitely kaiseiki but with Chinese fusion style .The service is top notch , we even get a bento prepared for us in the end with the rice they grow in the country side of Japan . A very unique and memorable experience !!

Our last visit was definitely pre-Covid, and we were excited to return. Food was as amazing as ever, service was as prompt and detailed as ever, and ambiance and buzz are great. Alcohol prices had gone up… had 2 bottles of reds for 2pax regardless :p didn’t get the greet the chef on the day tho

Great modern but authentic Japanese food. It reminds you of good familiar Japanese food that you feel comfortable even though the restaurant is high end side, but at the same time the food is full of surprises in detail. The atmosphere is relaxing and staffs are really nice as well.

All time favorite Omakase Great ambience, food, service ! Every season they offer different seasonality specials so make sure you come visit again! Over the years, every time we went they had a new menu and we never repeated the same dish. Try to figure out their menu of the day with their coded messages ! About 20000 Yen/person, not very approaching but the food can open your eyes.

Michelin star thats actually worth its claim. Friendly staff, good drinks line up and great, well presented courses. For less than 100 bucks, this is quite a steal in roppongi
