😐 The doctors are great, but the reception staff is rude and unprofessional. I'm sure the English-speaking staff have to deal with some real jerk foreigners, and so perhaps they are already jaded before the conversation starts when they have to deal with foreigners. But my, their attitude is awful.... People often mention clinic, doctor, staff, medical, time, doctors, receptionist, good, recommend, Tokyo,

The doctors are great, but the reception staff is rude and unprofessional. I'm sure the English-speaking staff have to deal with some real jerk foreigners, and so perhaps they are already jaded before the conversation starts when they have to deal with foreigners. But my, their attitude is awful. They are interrupting and argumentative, and they just don't listen to the patient's explanation. Japanese people tend to be polite to each other in the Japanese language. Why don't they try being kind? Fewer patients means no clients which means no job. At least be kind because you want to keep your job.

Went there to check up on my ear since I had trouble with equalising pressure on my flight to Tokyo and needed an ENT. Got an appointment pretty quickly. Everybody spoke very good English and was friendly - I read in the reviews that one receptionist is rude, but can’t confirm this was the case when I visited. Very organised staff and procedures. Short waiting times.

(Translated by Google) I went earlier, but it is the worst. Did you become an unfriendly engineer after taking the X-ray? When he was asked the second time without knowing what he was, he answered, "Yes," and tilted his head with the worst attitude. The attitude of the receptionist is the worst. I didn't want to come forever. I recommend that people who see this go to a different place. This is the first time you have met the worst hospital that makes patients uncomfortable.

(Translated by Google) The reception at the time of the telephone is Kasu. I do not want to use these words so much, but I can only find this word. An unfriendly answer · Attitude to hang up as soon as the talk is over. I'd like you to come from Nagoya for a medical checkup of getting a visa, but I hope the country will advance so that it can be done at other hospitals instead of this hospital. It is not too bad that there is no star 0.

Okay let me start by saying. Yes, the other reviews are about that "one" receptionist are true. She was very rude, unprofessional, she even made me cry. Too bad. BUT: please don't judge a clinic by one person from the staff. It's unfair to all the other people that work there and try their hardest to deliver great customer service. My family has been coming to this clinic since we got to Japan. All the doctors we have seen so far were great, especially Dr. Cammack. He goes above and beyond and genuinely cares about the patients. He even made a balloon animal for my 4 year old. Now he thinks doctors are the best! LOL It's the little things that make a difference. The staff in the lab is super sweet and professional. Thanks for the candy . My 4year old loved it. The front office staff is lovely, especially the lady from Ukraine. What a sweetheart. Usually we are in and out even when labs are involved. Can't say enough positive things about this place. So, lady in the front, that most people called rude in the reviews, if you are reading this, please take a moment and genuinely take the feedback seriously: The office staff is the first people see. You represent all the doctors that worked hard on becoming medical professionals.Even if you are having a bad day a little kindness can go a long way. People come to see the doctor because they are sick and not feeling well. Anything you can do to ease the patient's anxiety, frustration, pain that's your job to do. It's your job to make a difference in their lives and put a smile on their face. If you don't find joy in your day to day life, change something about it. Life is short. Find something you love to do! Be happy! This clinic deserves all 5 star reviews. Let's bring it to that level.

These people take great care of me and my family. Dr Deshpande made miracles happen so I could get signed up for surgery that would have taken 5+ months without his support. He didn't have to do that. But he cares about his patients. Dr Lomax is always there when we need him. He is always up to date on the latest medications and trends. This is not a assembly line medical profession. They care. I and my family come here often. Whether its COVID tests, medical issues, physicals, etc. For an American family with no language skills or understanding of how to navigate Japan... they are an oasis of safe and comprehensive medical care.

I was told for a year by Drs. Fujii and Tsutsumi that the lump behind my knee was a harmless cyst. Went elsewhere and discovered it was a malignant tumor. Sticking with this clinic's advice would have gotten me killed. I'm giving one star because there's no option to give a lower score.

We needed emergency treatment for a painful foot and everything went very well. The French-speaking doctor was absent but we were immediately taken by an English doctor who was able to relieve the pain and explain to us how to make the appropriate dressings. Clearly, the Tokyo Medical And Surgical Clinic saved our vacation!

As the other people wrote previously, reception and office staff are truly not friendly. I felt they hate Japanese-speak customers because they want to speak English. Especially No.15 counter is super non-friendly and not professional. The doctor and assistants are very nice and friendly.

(Translated by Google) Reception - Hayami (?) 'S bad attitude. Attitude absolutely not answering questions. Domineering attitude. For example, even if you heard that this week is when you are in, "What date is it? I do not know I will not come to the hospital first," I was told. Should I usually tell you "When is the right time" for ordinary reception work? And even with other questions do not you manage to take a domineering attitude that "doctor makes everything" and do not answer the question? Even when I hang up the phone, I feel like banging up the receiver with a way of answering that I do not know what Japanese is saying fast. It is a reception at a bad hospital. Because the house is close to this hospital, I thought about making my family as a whole doctor, but due to this terrible incompetence of receptionist, I immediately reserved to a different good hospital near here. It is a truly impossible attitude. The receptionist called "hayama (?)" - she had an accent in Japanese so she probablly isn 't native of Japanese. Whether she is a native of Japanese or not, she has a terrible attitude that patient should not come here type of attitude. I immediately changed to the other doctors office. I am not trying to choose this office as a primary doctor's office but due to her arrogant and very rude attitude, I do not recommend to go there. She was arrogant attitude were 1) when making an appointment, she arrogantly and madly said, I have to choose exact time and date instead of giving me the choice of the date and time. of option. 2) when she spank, she was very mad from the beginning. She did not have give me the estimate of the cost but she was was mad to tell me that that I should ask the doctor But I thought giving me estimation of the cost is the receptionist job. 3) she spoke very fast in Japanese and I do not understand what she was saying honestly ... she might have language barrier also. 1 star for receptionist. If there is any option of 0 star, I would give 0. I was trying to make an appointment two weeks ago. I'm a first time tourist in Japan and had a minor emergency that caused a lot of pain. Being in foreign country where communicating isn't always easy-this is a stressful situation to be in. Aside from dealing with the actual injury, you feel a bit lost and anxious as to how to get the most efficient and prompt help. I found this clinic and decided to take a shot at it, so I visited in the morning without an appointment. The whole process was quite frankly one of the best medical experiences I've ever had, including where I currently reside in the United States. They saw me right away after a quick registration. All the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Cammack is extremely professional but also very personal and friendly. He truly seems to care about what he's there for. My opinion of how healthcare works- especially in the USA, is one of just being a number that the doctor needs to process as fast as he/she can to move on to the next to keep a good patient/hour ratio-not a result of doctors, but the system they're stuck in. Dr Commack took his time and natural conversation was possible- such that makes you feel you can get your concerns and questions answered. Aside from that, everything else was really impressive. I got my blood drawn with necessary tests, x-ray done and prescriptions filled by the pharmacy on the bottom floor. On top of that-prices were surprisingly cheap-and that's without any insurance.. I would've paid the same or maybe more at home WITH insurance. That says a lot about the system they have in this country. I was in and out in a very reasonable time with the diagnosis and help I needed. Due to the nature of my injury, I had an early morning flare up a few days later. I emailed Dr Commack and he responded very quick, and was able to suggest the correct path forward which included an additional medication that he prepared for me to come and pick up at my convenience. He even offered to see me quickly while there, should I feel it was necessary.. That's true service! I can't recommend this clinic enough!. If you're having a medical issue and need to get help- don't waste any more time and just go straight here. You can make an appointment over the phone in case they may be busier than usual but I have a feeling they'll try to work with you as good as they possibly can either way. While definitely not planned as part of an enjoyable Tokyo itinerary, it will be one of the things I will remember as a truly great experience in the time of great need. Thank you to the whole team!

I am from the UK and moving to New Zealand to work. Due to time pressures in visa processing times I needed to have a medical check-up for my New Zealand visa application whilst on holiday in Japan. I had my appointment on a Friday and they had submitted my results to the immigration system by the Monday as well as contacting me to let me know there were no issues and my results had been submitted. I was delighted with how fast their turnaround was. The service was fast and efficient. The clinic felt very clean. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional and friendly. Booking was easy via phone, although they do not take bookings over email and in fact told me over email they didn't have availablity when I was then able to get an appointment over the phone. The receptionist spoke fantastic English, as did everyone I dealt with at the clinic. The price was reasonable and significantly cheaper than the UK. Their prices are clearly stated on their website. I found the clinic easy to get to via metro. For a NZ app, you need to print out forms in advance but do not need to bring a passport photo - they will take this at the time. You do need to bring your passport to verify your identity. I would definitely recommend this clinic to English speakers doing a medical check required for a New Zealand visa.

(Translated by Google) I wonder receptions' working etiquette ... They are inaccurate and incompetent; however, doctors and facilities are good qualities. An inappropriate response was given to the receptionist during a Canadian visa medical checkup. First of all, when making a reservation by telephone, the explanation of the reception was insufficient. Then, despite the fact that the hospital first knew the appropriate information, it was said that a reservation could not be made without an IME number, and the reservation was refused. After pointing out the up front system, reservation is possible. Insufficient information in spite of the Canadian government designated clinic. Despite the fact that there were thousands of examinees, one point was unknown. After that, search for a manual for overseas medical examinations that was available in advance. Lastly, reject the self-judgment result of the health check sent to this side. I'm done. I would like to ask for improvement. Kind doctor, facility can feel relieved. I went here April this year during a trip. It was a Saturday and I woke up late and was scrambling to find a hospital that’s still open since most clinics are half day on weekends. I called to ask if they can wait for me because I might arrive near closing time and they were kind enough to accommodate me. The Dr was very thorough in checking my throat infection and also administered a quick strep swab to confirm. The receptionist I had (I think from Eastern Europe) was very kind and patient with the instructions. The bill is expensive but if you have traveler’s health insurance it should be covered. The pharmacy below is definitely more expensive than regular market price but I was too tired and sick to travel to a different pharmacy. Overall decent experience.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Nicola Yeboah who was a very kind, attentive and caring doctor. She provided excellent care and went the extra mile by referring me to the national center for global health and medicine to ensure I received extra care that their clinic couldn't provide. One of the best doctor experiences I've ever had. Although I can't name them all, every single nurse was also exceptional with good english and excellent service. It's the perfect clinic for English speakers

Haven't been there for some time but want to make two important points about the clinic. Dr Fuji is incompetent, arrogant and dangerous. His malpractice has caused untold damage to patients and the clinic's reputation. Why he is still employed there is a mystery. Secondly, I would like to write about Dr Marshall who also works there. I have always found him an excellent GP or primary care doctor. Since returning to the UK and seeing the GPs in my own country I have realised just how good he is. Let's hope he doesn't retire.

I was feeling unwell this morning and I was a bit worried. A friend booked the clinic for me and they were extremely professional, fast and rapid. It took 2 min to register and I meet the doctor straight after. No waiting time. The doctor was very empathic and professional, he calmed me down and we went for several tests. I was out in less than 1 hour, while in my country it would have taken hours. 5 stars for the service, attention to the customer and empathy. My best medical experience so far

Overall, my experience here was pleasant during a challenging time with my health. I highly recommend Dr. Sasae as a primary care physician as he made me feel heard and understood, and always provided evidence-based plans at each appointment. He was able to find a root cause of my issues and recommend appropriate further consults in a knowledgeable manner. I'd also like to add that the front office team was always kind and helpful. However, I do not recommend seeking dermatological services at this clinic. While the provider I saw was not aware of it, I am also a health care provider and prescriber. My multiple appointments and communications with this dermatologist were below the standard of care for various reasons. I would be upset if my patients had an experience similar to the ones I had with this provider, which is why I felt it was important to include in my review.

I paid almost 20,000yen for a mediocre service and less than 5 mins of seeing the doctor to check my Alopecia Areata. This place doesn't take Japanese National Health Insurance. Dr. Takeshi Ouchi didn’t really mention anything of importance/anything that I don’t know yet. The only check he did was taking a photo of my bald spot using only an ipad and they called this dermatoscope on my bill, no blood tests et cetera. Some of the staff at the reception were friendly and nice, but one of the ladies was not very attentive and seemed that she couldn't wait for me to leave and stop asking questions. I only wanted to know how much does a prescription cost, since the prescription I got is only valid for two purchases. I didn't get a proper answer and she only told me to ask the staff at the pharmacy. The lady at the pharmacy told me that a small bottle costs about 2000yen in there, they advised to buy from there since I can get refill up to two refills while in other pharmacy, they said it will be taken right away once I buy. I decided to get two bottles from there and they told me that I can either choose to keep the prescription myself or leave it there and I can just come again for refills no prescription since they're keeping it. I have decided to keep it and went to another pharmacy in Ebisu and got the same product for half the price. At this other pharmacy, two bottles cost me 1770yen as shown on the image, while at Tokyo Medical two bottles cost me more than 4000yen. I'm sharing this experience so others would avoid this place that ripped me off. Will go to Garden Hiroo Clinic next week. Someone who recommended Garden Hiroo Clinic said this: "I felt more taken care of and my condition taken much seriously than something that can “be gone on it’s own” She was so helpful, asked me about my history. Luckily I documented my spot every month! She gave me a phototherapy session and I have to come back weekly. She explained to me the procedures and also showed me a progress book of her patients that had similar conditions. I’m also prescribed to the same pills I had before but with a diff lotion and additional biotin supplement. The receptionist was also really nice!!!! Also the pharmacy I had to go to was very accommodating. They gave me a drink as a service. "

I thought the doctor I went to was very knowledgeable and kind. However, the receptionist that I spoke with was a little rude. I called to make an appointment and told them I had GEOblue and all they said was okay. However, when I went in and received the bill, I asked them if they charged it through my insurance and they didn't even know that I had any. All that to be said, they didn't make it easy just said I had to take it up with insurance and file a claim. I would just do your research before coming here.

Visiting clinic during oversea holidays is not pleasant. ISOS helped us booked appointment here for my daughter’s emergency. Staff here are really nice and good at English communication. Doctors are very professional and very efficient doing lab testing. My daughter was given rapid and accurate treatment. Very satisfied the service here. It’s very close to the Tokyo tower, easy to find this clinic. The pharmacy downstairs is also helpful.

My wife got an infected bug bite on her leg that started to get worse. We tried local ERs during the day but they suggested we go elsewhere (maybe they were very busy?). TMSC is appointment only but we were lucky to get a slot just an hour or so after arriving. The service was great and our doctor fully understood our worries and prescribed the correct antibiotics. Very thankful we found a place that took our concerns seriously.

Apparently they have two separate receptionists for normal doctor appointments and medical check up. The lady on the doctor appointment side was very helpful, professional, and kind. She transferred me to the medical check up side and there was another receptionist that was pretty rude. She sounds impatient, likes to cut ppl when we are still talking, not very consultative, not a good image you want to put as the face of the clinic. I became reluctant to pay a high price of an english speaking clinic because of her.

Overall a good experience, the staff and nurses were helpful and accomodated our needs, the doctor (Dr. Cammack) was also very kind and patient to us, listened to our medical needs. The English support is very good, they have English-native doctors and English-speaking staff, so I recommend to foreigners. One minor thing is that it's a bit more expensive since it doesn't accept Japanese NHI. Also, the fee that they mentioned over the phone ended up being double the amount, so I was a bit surprised by that (bed charge, etc.) Overall, a really good clinic with helpful staff and good doctors. If you don't mind the more expensive price, I would recommend.

As an expat living in Tokyo with chronic illness, it was imperative for me to find doctors and clinicians I could both trust and who could effectively communicate the plan of action to me. Dr Horiuchi and the entire team at Tokyo Medical and Surgical Clinic has been nothing short of amazing in making sure I have the best care possible- my chronic illness is even in remission, which amazes me every single day- all because of this wonderful clinic!

(Translated by Google) I went for a visa travel check. I was worried because the reviews of other people were not good, but everyone was very kind and kind. There was a comment that it was amiable, but I felt professional. Recommended for travelers with a visa. They have such robotic receptionist and an incapable doctor. Would not recommend it unless you want to end up with an expensive bill, wasted long waiting time and useless meeting with Dr. Wagner.

I was calling them bc of an emergency, I had really high fever for a few days and didn’t know what to do. I got an appointment on the next day and was fully treated and tested on the same day! Very competent, calm and friendly doctor, fluent English and Japanese! I should have gone earlier, I highly recommend this clinic!

Everybody was nice to me in this clinic. Especially the doctor was very friendly. It was very helpful since I was nervous to do the health check for my US visa. The location is also convenient. It costed me around ¥2,000 by taxi from Tokyo station. It's right next to the Tokyo Tower. All staffs seem to be able to speak English. I recommend to go for the tourists who got sick while they are traveling Tokyo and to the US visa applicants.

Brilliant service - we needed medical advice over the new year ‘close down’ period and nothing was too much trouble. Dr Cammock was available and willing to offer advice via phone, email and in person. It was very easy to get appointment at short notice. Such a welcome service in a foreign country - thank you!

Not worth the money at all if you have Japanese health insurance and/or can speak Japanese; my impression is that they cater to wealthy embassy types

The whole staff here were amazing. I came in for minor surgeries while vacationing and Dr Lomax performed the procedures quickly, painlessly and performed them extremely well. I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

Bad ambulance. He sent an email asking if they could vaccinate me against covid with the Pfizer vaccine. I received a reply that they have a free date on November 7, 2023. I came personally to make the reservation and staff kicked me out because I don't have a coupon. Everywhere in the world, USA, EU, Asia, I will vaccinate you for free on a decent request, because everyone understands that it is profitable for the world. No one here understood

Had a sprained finger that wouldn’t heal on its own after several weeks. X-rays revealed a small fracture at the joint and so the doc provided his opinion and made a referral to a hand specialist. Three small complaints: 1) ¥31,000 before insurance for X-rays, consultation, and referral. No actual treatment or temp splint. Yet, when I went to the specialist later at a large hospital that had some English speaking doctors and staff, x-rays and a consult cost just ¥6300 in total. 2) Almost no front facing staff (receptionists or doctors) were wearing masks. I overhead a receptionist say it was “optional”. This is unacceptable in a healthcare setting during flu season and on the tail end of a pandemic. 3) No flu vaccine available yet. My brother had a flu vaccine at his local neighborhood clinic the other day. Just odd that a high priced, international clinic wouldn’t have them yet. 4) I went to the hand specialist 10 days later with the CD-ROM of X-rays provided and the specialist says the CD was empty!! And ordered new X-rays!

All around excellent experience. I walked in and got a quick appointment without much waiting on the spot. Receptionists and personnel around the clinic speak good English. After unsuccessful attempts for help at other Japanese clinics, it was a surprising relief that German-speaking Dr. Seez listened and readily helped me with my issue; he and all of the staff seemed caring and were very considerate and helpful. I can definitely recommend going here!

I am a doctor myself and needed medical attention whilst on holiday in Japan, I was able to get an appointment the same day with Dr Seez at this clinic. Dr Seez was polite, professional and very helpful. They have in-house diagnostic services and so tests can happen straight away in most cases. Overall it was a good service at a reasonable cost, and I would recommend this clinic with special thanks to Dr Seez.

Gynecology Dr Sen is one of the worst doctor I have seen in my entire life. She looked at me for thirty seconds (no joke) and told me to go somewhere else because she didn't know what I had. She wasn't even able to ask her colleagues to know what I might have and after five minutes in her office, I had to pay 10 000¥ for nothing.

The receptionist was super rude.Since I made an appointment over the phone she was already rude, and when I visited the clinic she was super rude too.I strongly recommend her to quit the job if she is that unhappy.I'm pretty sure that people have been commenting bad about receptionist is all same person. The attitude of the person at the reception is minimal. It is a pity that one person's attitude reduces this clinic's reputation. The doctors and nurses were all very nice, so I think she should quit for this clinic. I was attended to in October, now back in SA and need my medical reports, the contact numbers above don't work, is there any alternative way of getting through to them? So unhappy with the service i recieved, as a Dr from a developing country, can't believe how backwards the medicine practiced here is. Any suggestions to another contact number will be appreciated.

Reception was very polite and friendly. Waiting area was comfortable. Dr. Wagner was super comforting and helpful. Receiving medical care in English was a real treat after having had some difficulty elsewhere dealing with doctors in Japanese when my medical Japanese vocabulary is lacking.

Amazing doctors and dermatologist. Dr Wagner and Dr Ouchi are outstanding. So happy my insurance referred me to this clinic as it’s difficult to find the right doctor so far away from home, but all the doctors here made it super easy, spoke fantastic English, were caring and really take their time to solve any of your medical concerns. Great location, right next to Tokyo Tower. So grateful this place exists and thankful for the doctors there.

Dr. Cammack was professional and personable. Having a debilitating ankle condition in the middle of a two-week trip to Japan was pretty scary (of all the scenarios where clear communication is needed…it was this!). However, he was very flexible (initial treatment being done on the weekend) and the entire staff took great care of me. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Cammack for any English-speaking patients…tourists and residents alike!

There is a new doctor at the Tokyo Medical and Surgical clinic called Dr. Cammack. He is an amazing doctor with an excellent bedside manner who is incredibly reassuring. The arrival of Dr. Cammack means I now have a doctor who I know I can rely on and this is a huge comfort for me living in Tokyo. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for medical care in Tokyo.

Dr Yeboah was great! She took extra time for us on short notice and helped us a lot since it was hard for us to find another Doctor who speaks english before our return flight. She gave great council and helped us with the medication here in Japan. Also contacting the clinic a day later concerning a personal information issue was easy and our overall experience was very good. Would definitely recommend especially for non-japanese speaking people 👍🏼

The female call representative I just talked to to make an appointment for medical checkup for US visa, she was very entitled although her only job is to pick up the phone, very unprofessional, if you have an option, go to the other designated clinic. The staffs in Kobe clinic are much more pleasant!

Excellent service! Everyone is very attentive. This is the second time that I need to take exams for a visa… I thought the fee charged for taking the Vaccine (Polio) was super expensive, I paid ¥10,000! I strongly recommend that everyone who is applying for an American Visa check the required vaccinations and get them at places that accept insurance.

Except the blonde foreign lady in the front desk, everything is nice in this clinic. Dr. Nick helped us to identify the sickness of my son very fast and provided information and treatment more than sufficient. The ladies in the front desk were very helpful (exept the blond foreign lady; she needs to learn not to disregard patients and be more carefully with her body language).
