The water was crystal clear while we were there. They recently cleared rocks from the beach so it is mostly sandy. You can still drive up on the beach here and park right where you are hanging out. They have public bathrooms and some shelters and picnic tables as well. Enjoy paradise!🌴🥥

Completely devastated by hurricane 🌀 Ian. I really hope for it’s full restoration as it needs to be able to provide safe access to regular tourists so that everyone can get to enjoy this spectacular place and get to know Florida the right way. It was sad to hear that the water could be dangerous ⚠️ to step into.

Gorgeous area turned into a nice little park. Park your car on the sand, fish, launch a kayak, or watch the sunset. Bathrooms and plenty of trash receptacles.

Great area to go boating and jet skis over or even just to pop up a tent for the day. Also an amazing sunset location with restrooms.

We usually always go to lighthouse Beach but the traffic was unbelievable even for the height of tourist season. So we settled on the causeway which is something we've never done in the 30 years we've lived here and the experience wasn't great. The causeway is very rocky and definitely not what I'd consider a beach plus the love bugs were coming in swarms.

One of my favorite places so far in Florida. Love it so much I'm already back and it hasn't even been 2 months. Sanibel island is gorgeous and this little park is the perfect spot to park your vehicle right next to the beach and cool off in the ocean waters. By far my favorite place to watch the sunset in Florida.

It's currently a construction area due to the ongoing rebuilding efforts after the hurricane, the memories of its former beauty linger. The temporary inconvenience is outweighed by the anticipation of what's to come. The prior charm and scenic allure are etched in my mind, making it clear that, once completed, this place will recapture its former splendor. It may not be ideal now, but the promise of a revived and even more beautiful beach makes it worth keeping an eye on.

Well designed. Several places along the causeway to pull off, enjoy the water picnic or just hang out. We pulled off to take some sunset pictures. There are restrooms on both sides in the middle of the causeway. Parking is a little bit of a free-for-all when it is busy. People are picnicking, sunbathing and fishing.

Absolutely love this beach, toll is $6, parking is free (for now until the upgrade) park right up on the water, and you can bring your leashed dogs! Always have a great time with the family and the sunsets are the best to watch from here!

I didn't bring my camera when I pulled into park at a private beach....so even though I saw the spectacular sunset, I have no photos. The causeways always make my heart skip on how pretty it is.

👍 First off, it's super convenient to take this to Key West. Do NOT expect first class cruise ship experience. Come in thinking it's a relaxing little ferry ride with a full bar. The food is nothing special, but at least it's something to put into your stomach until you make it to Key West. Being th...
