We
got
a
hotel
room
down
the
street
at
the
courtyard
hotel
and
it
was
about
7PM
on
Thursday
night.
We
went
here
because
Google
said
it
was
Caribbean
food.
It
was
no
such
thing.
The
food
is
Chinese
food
with
a
"Guyanese"
twist.
Unfortunately
it
was
just
American-Chinese
food.
And
it
was
really
bad
American-Chinese
Food
at
that.
I
got
a
combo
with
rice
noodles
and
chicken.
The
Rice
was
completely
inedible,
it
tasted
like
burnt
Ash.
The
chicken
was
not
great.
The
sauce
that
was
used
was
just
straight
up
Ketchup.
The
only
thing
that
was
palatable
on
the
plate
was
the
noodles,
Unfortunately
they
had
fragments
of
chicken
bone
throughout.
Me
and
the
other
person
with
me
both
picked
out
3
or
4
bone
piece
each.
Not
only
was
the
food
not
great,
but
between
the
restaurant
being
run
down
and
having
visible
water
damage
on
the
ceiling
and
Christmas
decorations
up
(March).
The
restaurant
was
also
completely
devoid
of
any
other
customers.
The
only
people
who
came
in
were
friends
of
the
waitress
and
just
stood
around
talking
for
30
minutes.
But
the
thing
that
instilled
the
least
amount
of
confidence
was
the
fact
the
restaurant
is
called
"Kalypso"
hut
with
a
K
but
the
menu
spelled
"Calypso"
special
with
a
C.
It's
like
this
restaurant
doesn't
know
what
it
wants
to
be.
This
was
without
doubt
the
worst
Restaurant
experience
i
have
found
in
the
Greater
Toronto
Area.
