This was a pleasant little discovery! It's so well hidden that despite living in the city for ages and visiting the adjacent Aquitaine park, I did not know this existed! It's a beautiful paved walk winding next to the ponds and lake. Highly recommended, especially if you are mobility challenged as there are no rough patches to cross if you stick to the trail. Gorgeous and quiet! It's the perfect post dinner stroll. I can see this becoming a regular place for easy walking and talking with lots of privacy.

Awesome, hidden, quiet lake for fishing!! Truly a hidden gem of the area. Went fishing here in July, and caught all sorts of fish. Caught Pumpkinseed, Bluegill and some European Chub. Other fish here (that we didn’t catch) include common carp, rock bass, spotted bass, silver redhorse, and round goby… There are some signs that say no fishing, but those are only meant for winter seasons when the lake freezes over with a thin layer of ice.

Love this place, quite beautiful place with track and scenic lake. Play areas for kids, plenty of parking all around. Enjoy multiple families of ducks.

Lake Wabukayne is one of the best hidden gems in Mississauga. Located just north west of the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Britannia, Lake Wabukayne is actually a storm management pond built in the 1970's. The group, "Friends of Lake Wabukayne" works to enhance and conserve this natural area surrounding Lake Wabukayne so that it can be a healthy and inviting environment for people, birds, animals and plant life.

This summer there are people racing their bikes on this circle, which has limited visibility. They make turns going over 50 km/hour and I saw them HIT SOMEONE! This is a massive liability and should be reported. I will be calling in to 311 and reporting this. I urge everyone else to do the same. Racing bikes on this park trail needs to be fined. Kids and elderly people walk along this trail and they do not deserve to get hit by a racing bike.

Nice park with a lake, in the middle of houses. Get away for a quiet walk, a strip mall nearby to get a snack, fluids or food. The trails connect to others so you can walk for miles.

Lovely area to come biking and it leads to many small neighbourhoods. Great food areas around here and perfect for a small walk.

NO Fishing is ALLOWED!!Excellent hiking and biking trails. Beautiful garden beds. Please don't feed ducks and geese with bread. Large pieces of bread can get stuck in the duck's crop and this can lead to starvation and possible death. If you are walking along the trail and spot the garlic mustard weeds, please pull them out and place them in the garbage. This weed takes over our wild plants and does more harm than good. I posted some of the photos for you to see it. Noted people smoking cannabis near the Erin Mills parkway of the Wabukayne lake. It is often observed on my walks. I'm not sure if this is actually allowed.

Lovely trail. The name "Wabukayne" is believed to come from Chief Wabukayne, also spelled Wabukayn, meaning "white snow". He was a Mississauga Ojibwa Chief of the Eagle Clan at the Credit River. He signed Treaties 13 and 13-A in 1805. Lake Wabukavne is a man-made pond. Previously it was a cattle pond created by the Cooke) family in 1946 but was also used for swimming and boating. The pond was created by having a dam built on Wabukayne Creek, which flowed through the property. The modern pond is a 1.8 hectares storm water management pond. construction on the surrounding park and subdivisions began in 1976.

Excellent neighbourhood park to visit during the fall. Similar to Lake Aquitaine Park in the west, the "lake" is an artificial stormwater management pond. I personally like it more than Lake Aquitaine which has way too many people. Lake Wabukayne is much more serene and quiet. I really enjoyed the changing leaves and observing the ducks paddling on the lake. Lake Wabukayne Park is interconnected with several other Mississauga parks through a continuous trail, linking Glen Eden Park, Maplewood Park, Lake Aquitaine Park, and Plowman's Park. This would be an excellent route for hiking, jogging, or race training since you can freely choose your distance with no traffic interruption.

Nice place for walk ….. the lake is visible from specific sections so it’s not like lake Aquitaine but still nice and quiet place

Really nice park for hiking and enjoying nature. There is a dam that is used to control storm and wastewater and I really appreciate the effort put into building and maintaining it. Has a wide variety of birds, flowers and other wildlife. Hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy nature.

The lake is surrounded by a trail, connecting Lake Aquataine. Beautiful place for bird watching throughout the year. Some including ducks, geese, cardinals, sparrows, woodpeckers and more.

My kids love visiting the ducks! It feels more natural and wild than Lake Aquitaine (which is also beautiful), we love walking the trail as a family activity.

Long, quiet trail. There is a play ground near the lake, on the right side trail of the entry. No dedicated parking but free Street parking available. Great for easy hiking and biking.

Beautiful trail. Great for a walk. The walkway has been recently renovated. Very serene. There is a small lake where ducks can be seen. We enjoy walking in this little park.

It’s a very isolated place and almost pristine If you visit during late August-October, you will see all the apple trees there full with fruits. Lots of birds, the lake is actually storm water management - so water is not very clean. But a great sight all through summer

Such a cute little park. It’s nice and close to home. Perfect little path for a bike ride. There is a nice sized play structure as well and tons of parking on the street. Also has an exercise structure for adults.
