Was very excited in the beginning to have Gujarati thali after a long time. First 15 mins made me thinking why did I came in this restaurant. Didn't gave us water for 30 mins Nd have to ask for it. Service is rude, poor and not at all worthy to go back. I have seen way bigger restaurants and saw how they manage efficiently. This was not even that big and they were struggling. Guy was super rude for taking orders as if he is giving us for free. Our pav bhaji was without salt at all. We asked salt couple of times and they took 20 mins to give it. They knew about the no salt pav bhaji still didn't do anything. Sabudana vada was not properly fried. Gujarati thali was good but not great. At that price it should be with no defects. Sweet mohanthal was amazing and that's it. Other veggies were okay. After all this experience they asked for gratuity of 15 percent for 5 people. I didn't get why for 5 people and why tip on top of it. No shame. Don't recommend anyone unless they improve their service and mention on instagram. I request please step up for the service. The way negative reviews are coming for you guys, this place won't be a to go place for Gujaratis. You are only one doing this thali and won't be recommended by anyone after this kind of service. 🙏🏼

We went with a large group of 12 people and had to wait almost an hour for the table. But it was not the restaurant's fault. Come early if you are coming with a big group. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Felt very fresh and homemade. The thalis were excellent, but hard for one person to eat, very heavy. Very hard working staff, they were checking in all and making sure we had everything we need. Must visit with family and friends.

Arrived at Avsar for an early dinner on a weekday. The restaurant was fairly busy. We were greeted by a friendly staff and seated promptly. We had heard great things about their thali and were excited to try them... And we were not disappointed! A plate full of goodness and excellent flavors. Portions are great and priced right. Will definitely return to try their street food options.

Heard a lot about the place offering some authentic street food but wow, didn’t expect to wait sooo long for food. I understand weekends are busy but that’s usually the norm for restaurants, isn’t it? Anyway, the thali was super expensive for mediocre (and cold) food and my husband was especially annoyed about the watery chhaas (come on guys, yogurt is not expensive as cream so why skimp on it?!). 🤦🏽‍♀️ We really like the rest of the food and it definitely earned some of the reputation. The Missal Pav was super yummy and so were the fries and pizza. The peri-peri were a hit with the kids. 👍🏽

Food was okay. Nothing too great! Was disappointed with the kitchen staff. I think the servers were polite but they messed up our order and took them a while to fix it. Filter coffee was nothing like how it should be. Not sure if they actually used filter coffee or ofbit was instant coffee as it tasted like instant coffee. Overall not a good experience.

A little pricey. Good food. Delicious vegetarian treats. Some of the vegetable curries are a tad on the sweet side. Nice and airy ambience. Brightly lit. I will go back to taste the snacks and sweets. I went there only for the Thali.

The restaurant's actual food photos were incredibly enticing, which led me to give them a try at the CNE. However, I can confidently state that if there's one choice to avoid among the CNE food options, it's this particular establishment. I should have been cautious when I noticed there was no line at their stall, unlike the overflowing crowds at the other counters. Regrettably, the food turned out to be bland, lacking in salt and spice, and quite overpriced at $18. When I first arrived in Canada and began cooking for myself, my amateur, first made dish was better than this. It was a regrettable waste of money.

Happening and family friendly place to come and have your evening snacks! Not so expensive, reasonable price and quantity. Great customer service and very presentable food handling skills. They have a small room to improve the taste of the food to make it feel like fully Mumbai style cuisine. Definitely recommended!

I have been to this place before but this time around food was not great. Two out of three vegetables we ordered were very oily. Also table for two is very compact and difficult to accommodate even the 2 plates (thali) we ordered.

Been here couple of times and have tried wholesome of different dishes and everything is just great! Specially roti and puri are so soft feels like home made and taste is mind blowing also the main thing is that taste is same every time. Don’t want to spoil anything by saying what dishes I have tried but try anything everything is tasty.

Avsar serves authentic Gujrathi Thali along with more variety of Gujrathi and other Vegetarian Indian snack items. We tried the Thali which was very filling and very flavorful. The thali also comes with Yummy Chaas. We also tried Patti Samosa and Dabeli Sandwich which was amazing. They have a lot more on their menu that I would want to try so definitely going next time. Pricing was decent; servers were quick and welcoming. There is limited parking in the plaza but usually spots are available.

Good Gujarati Thali, but way overpriced. They’re other places in GTA with similar / better quality at half the price. The Raj Kachoori was delicious. Would be perfect if price was more competitive for the quality. The ambience is nice.

Our host, Zeel; was super nice and was able to get a lot of options without onion garlic for us. Tried Undhiyu, sandwich and puranpoli. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. A perfect blend of Bombay & Gujarat.

Ok here’s the scoop! - Food was excellent! Waitress was polite and prompt, she checked in few times got our feedback on food and clear the table as needed. I absolutely love the aesthetics, it’s fancy for a formal family dinner, birthday, guest invite and clients to sit and enjoy. I love the Guava drink, tea and all the dishes served see pictures!

I have just taken a dinner. 1) shreekhand was not cold 2) there is very less amount of salt in subjis 3) price was too high. 4) spoons were less. Takes it seriously because we Gujaratis wants all good. And best of luck. You are doing great though

Fast food is very good. Ordered Avsar Special Thali, which was not good except good rotis all veg , rice and dal were cold . Server didn’t take trouble to warm . They did provide a separate room for our group.

Best memories are made when gathered around the table… Absolutely yes !!! Visited this place today and I must say mouthwatering Indian food in Mississauga. Ambience is so nice and a great place to hangout with friends and family for finger licking dishes. Had schezwan vada pav , kashta kachori and Misal pav .. Staff suggested me to try rabdikulfi falooda and it’s amazing . I can’t forget to tell you that everything is prepared by girls in the kitchen which made it more interesting.. More power to these girls. Please check photos below and try them.

I have been to Avsar veg restaurant with my family for my early birthday celebration and really enjoyed their food and service. The owner is so kind and friendly and is really so humble and sweet and chats and ensure our orders are taken correctly and even added a personal touch with a kulfi ice cream treat for my birthday, that was really sweet! 💗 thank you for the warm and friendly service, great delicious food, love their rotis and dhoklas especially they’re so soft, and such a nice atmosphere inside the restaurant as well. Highly recommended for their warm hospitality. 👍🏼

I had such a pleasant experience at Avsar today. The food was absolutely delicious and our server, Aman, was so sweet and cheerful. Thank you for making my birthday extra special :)

Very nice, tasty and authentic Gujarati style food. We tried the Vegetarian Thali, Puri with Undiya and Pav Bhaji. Sides in the Thali was awesome. Rotis were soft, fluffy and melting types. Puri were soft as well. Undiya and Bhaji were out of this world. Reason for 4* is because it's a bit pricey for the quantity they serve. Overall, a good restaurant to try Gujarati style food.

i had a dinner with group of 8. We order 2 sabzi thali, great food. Good environment. I experienced little waiting time but it can ignore over quality of food. Affordable prices for the most of the part.

We really liked Missal paav and undhiyo. It’s authentic Gujarati and maharashtrian food joint. Restaurant is beautifully painted with Gujarat and Maharashtrian style. Staff are polite and nice. Just felt that price is on the higher side. Highly recommend for Gujarati food lovers

Food was great, we ordered undiyu it was great just could have a little more masala. Tiny bit of undiyu flavor was missing. Vada pav was good, i should have asked them to not put sweet chutney in it...as i personally do not like sweet chutney in vada pav. Dahi batata puri was yummm. Best part was the elaichi chai. Also I order Poha a lot from this place... its really good. This would be 5 star if undiyu had a little more flavor.

We tried this pure vegetarian restaurant of Toronto on our way from Montreal to Niagara. It was a good experience. Food was delicious. Chef prepared tasty Jain Pizza, Sandwich and Franky. I wish we could have got options of Jain thali as well but overall it was a great experience. Ambience is very nice and plenty of free parking spots. You should definitely visit this restaurant once, if you're in Toronto.

Delicious Gujarati food dishes in bunch of variety options. Very hard to maintain test, quality and price trio together, although they did it well. Undhiyu was best part with mango ras and puri. New location is much easier to be reached, with nice interior & ambience.

I had a great time at this place. The food and the ambience both are amazing. It has a wide variety of option to order, I ordered Samosa Tikka, Kathi Role, Dabeli and Makhani Pizza. Most of the dishes can be prepared without Onion & Garlic. The staff is courteous and are on their toes all the time.
