The food was good. Big portions. Nice ambience and interior. Liked the background music and food presentation. The only one thing I was not very happy about is the service. The guy would come to every table to check on the food and the guests except us. Same guy dropped the terminal to pay and the box to pack the leftovers on the table without even asking if We want anything else. Usually you get offered a dessert menu. In this case he decided on our behalf. He put the terminal on our table and left. The terminal was not even properly set up, so I had to pick all the necessary options and process the payment myself. This is something first time in my life I had to do in a restaurant. Thus three stars.

The food experience was amazing. the staff was so nice and welcoming!!! Like I can't put anymore emphasize on it. The food was so good that we came back for breakfast the next day and let me tell you, we may have slept for the rest of the day after that. The staff is so nice they moved out of their way to help me wish a beautiful birthday for my dad. It was a worth it! 6hours drive to there honestly. Excited to come back some time soon. :) Thank you again!

Very special, authentic, fancy Mediterranean restaurant and coffee shop in the heart of Mississauga. Staff is so friendly and welcoming, they take care of every detail of the food and service. It was a weekend noon time so I only had tea and cheese pie, then shared a large Um-Ali bowl with my friend. Everything is tasty, genuine, made and served with care. The place is so authentic, cozy and clean. Prices are very affordable for the quality and service. Highly recommended.

Superb Middle Eastern Food in GTA. I highly recommend this place for amazing flavour at a very reasonable price. The pitas are freshly made and you can order as many as you need. The service could improve as it took time to place the order and the food to come but the staff is very courteous. I will definitely come here again!

Lovely brunch at Roman Zaman. The food is sensational. And the ambiance is cozy comfy feels like an oasis. Lovely service here right from the moment you enter the restaurant. The bread … oh my gosh!!! Right out of the wood 🪵 burning oven. Food is freshly made from the heart down to the perfected ingredients. Every bite I took a moment to enjoy the taste. Complements to the chef 👩🏻‍🍳 👨🏻‍🍳 .. what a delicacy to drop by this beautiful restaurant✨

I had an incredible experience at Roman Zaman in Mississauga. The food was outstanding, and the ambiance with the old Syrian house vibe added to the charm. I tried Fattoush, Hummus, and the mixed barbecue – all exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend it!

Food is amazing. The salad comes with chips(or breads, not sure exactly how it’s called). It’s fresh and tasty! Meat are all good, though my friend was disappointed as the chicken Eacalope was not made as the typical Syria way, filled with chicken and cheese. But overall it’s good. The sauce for chicken Escalope was sooooo yummy! It goes well with all the meals! A good place for Syria food. There is still a bit room for customer service improvement though :)

We visited this place a while ago for lunch. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the service was good. The Motabal, paired with freshly made bread, was a tasty highlight. However, the kebabs were a bit dry and lacked flavor. Overall, a positive experience with the potential for improvement in certain dishes.

We tried mixed grill and chicken skewers and it was great. The freshly baked bread tastes great with the grilled chicken and meat. The prices are also very reasonable. The service and atmosephere of the place is also great. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic middle eastern food.

First time here dining in, and last time of course. The food was not tastey at all, therefore; we did not enjoy. We have ordered grills mix platter it is 5 skewers, we did not eat the chicken kebab as there was no flavor at all, and it was not grilled well (1 skewer), the shish(1 skewer) and kebab(2 skewers)were just ok. The Fatoush was also ok. The cheese samosa was kind of good. The kebbeh was ok( not all pieces tastes the same not sure why). The meat safiha was awful, no flavor and no salt it was sweet actually. The french fries was good. We did not complain, as we will not go through this terrible experience again. Overall, I won't recommend. Terrible dinner to end the year with.

Roman Zaman is a beautiful place to go with family or friends. Their interior is nice and you can see fresh bread being baked in the stone oven. There's also a place to pray and do salah, which was awesome. We ordered the garlic humous, shawarma platter, mixed grill and zaatar ask for four adults and two kids. I thought the humous was average, but the shawarma and grill were good. The kunafa was the best part of the meal, although the medium size was too big for us and we had to pack 75% of it. They need to have a size between small and medium.

My search for Syrian food took me to Roman Zaman. The staff was very humble and helped me choose the dishes. They took the time and patience to explain what was in every dish. The flavoursome dishes made my day. Recommended dishes: Hummus Foul Mix grill Egg plant fattat Cheese samosas Coffee The egg plant in yogurt was something unique and tasted delicious. I loved the combination of fresh baked bread with the mixed grill and hummus. Would love to go back for more.

Tried this place recently and its very much recommended. The portion sizes are great and you cannot finish everything on your own. The bread they serve is super soft and delicious. Their Fattoush salad is a star!! They are very generous with the portions. The teaware is very aesthetic I must say! The Muttabal dipping is fantastic….. a must visit for sure. We were two people and ended up splitting the bill for $26 each.

Exceptional Service and Good quality food. A recommended place to take your friends or family. Reservation is preferred but call the restaurant and they may let you know how busy it is if online do not show any slot. Good Ambience and the staff explains you in detail if there are any questions on the menu. Grill Mixed platter is good. The meat is either beef or chicken. They don't serve lamb. The cheese grill was little salty. Hummus Fattatna was great. Overall very good experience.

Delicious food, nice service, chic and clean restaurant! The fattoush and humus were super tasty, the best compared to too many restaurants I’ve tried. The mix grilled plate had varying qualities, we liked how the chicken skewers were tender and tasted so good, but the meat wasn’t, it was a bit overcooked and needed a marination. We left with wide smiles, recommended!

We were a group of 5. The food was delicious, good quantity and delivery was fast. The fries was toooo good. Would compare it to the Costco fries which I think are the best. 😊 the tabbouleh salad was delicious and presentation was good. We will surely be back.

Roman Zaman is an amazing place to go for Saturday night dinner. The service is good and the food is exceptional. They bake their own breads and the food quality is superb. They have both vegetarian and meat food options and the dishes taste amazing. Definitely coming back for more!

Good and fast service, great looking ambience and interiors. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food they serve. We loved the sauces, muttabal and humus. Meat was soft and tender and we cherished every bite. It can get really busy at times, make sure you book it in advance or put your name on the list before.

Went over the weekend, extremely busy and we were very lucky to get a spot in a walk-in. Very nice interiors with loads of parking available, extremely friendly and great service. We had the lemon/mint which was super refreshing, we also had their Mutabil (sadly they had run out of hummus that night) and chicken liver which were good. However their mixed grill platter was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place, thanks!

Very generous portions and incredible hospitality. My first time trying Syrian food and I'm a fan. The server took his time to explain the various dishes and made recommendation on their most popular dishes. We had a table of 12 and ordered a bit of everything. The host was very generous, gave us cheese samosa on the house. If you like cheese, you'll love these. Started with a very light and creamy hummus. Pita bread is fresh and unlimited. Followed by chicken liver and fries, beef Fatteneh, and baba ganoush. All were exceptional and the addition of pomegranate added a burst of contrasting flavor which help cut through the richness. The mixed skewer platter was slightly dry and the spices used were on the mild side. The beef shawarma on the other hand was moist with crispy edges, highly recommend the shawarma platter. You leave this place feeling satisfied, full and most importantly, not groggy. The food here is clean and not packed with grease. A very memorable experience. Thank you

The waitress and waiters were exceptionally polite and respectful. The chicken and beef in the shawarma dishes was dry, not juicy or tender as you find in other places. However the food itself tasted delicious. They did a fantastic job for creating Mediterranean atmosphere. High quality interior design!

Roman Zaman has been such an incredible place to have breakfast and lunch when you have a spontaneous decision to go out for food. Each time I have gone the food has been incredible. Although a very busy place, someone is always at the door to greet and seat you somewhere. The staff are direct and quick to get your order which is actually really nice because you avoid those fake conversations that occur because they want tips. The staff here are ready and polite when they get your order and provide you with it in efficient time, which I loved a lot to be honest! The ambiance is actually flexible so to speak. Many people do come here dressed super casual, but even if you were to dress up you wouldn’t be “out of touch.” You would still fit in. The ambience is catered to both fancy and casual. So do wear what you choose, it gives off a fancy and classy vibe simultaneously. This place is in a plaza so there is ample parking but there is limited parking directly in front of the store.

So disappointed experience - no taste at all. My order was a takeout that has the following: 1- Chicken Shawarma plate: the worst taste I ever hade in my life - couldn't emphasize more how the taste was horrible (like simple easy recipe and you still can't do right !!). Zero star. 2- Beef Shawarma sandwich: big zero, the flavor of the used fat was just unbearable and can't even smell it (not eat it). 3- Mix plater: it has no flavour at all + toooo much fat. The only thing that was okay is the shishtawook. 4- Moskhan: the bread was okay but there was no enough olive oil and onions and sumac on top to make more tast. This the only thing that I was able to eat. To be in the food and beverage business, you need to have a secret recipe for your meals - which unfortunately you don't have.

Nice ambience with posh interior. Food is top notch. We tried Mosakhan , Arayes , Shawarma Platter and Chicken skewers with Jilab. Portions were larger :) Mosakhan stood out as the dish of the day and others were good too.. Certainly going back to try other varieties

My favorite place for cozy breakfasts or friends gathering for sweet and traditional tea, they have a very delicious authentic syrian, lebanese, Palestinian and jordanian food , try the fatteh for breakfast, manakeesh or even Falafel, or maybe msakhan or sheesh tawook for lunch, and thank me later 😊

We were visiting from the USA and tried this Middle Eastern restaurant. I can’t express how amazing the experience was at this authentic and quaint restaurant. The food was wow….from the shawarma, to the fatet hummus, fried cheese, and falafel and the fresh juices. Oh and the bread was freshly made in their wood fire oven. The presentation was on point and made you feel you were in the Middle East with all the dishes, platters and tea, coffee kettles they serve you with. It was all amazing! The service was exceptional too. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants great Mediterranean food and dessert. The kenafa was also so delicious too.

Food was delicious and overall good portions. We ordered a couple of appetizers and a shawarma plate. More than enough food for two. The atmosphere was nice, great place to come with family or friends.

I really loved the vibes but the food is not the best the shawerma was so dry and didn’t have any flavours that was disappointing for grilled meat no flavours to and for the kebab don’t bother yourself ordering it. I don’t think I’m coming back

My recent experience at Roman Zaman was fantastic - this was our second time at the restaurant, and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. The starters we ordered - Hummus Beiruty, Labneh & Foul - were delicious and the perfect way to start our meal. The Kibbeh nayyeh was unique and flavorful, and we enjoyed trying something new. For the entrees, we had the Shawarma & Arais, which were both cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The portions were generous, and we felt satisfied with our meal. To top it off, we enjoyed an excellent knafeh for dessert, which was the perfect sweet treat to end our meal. With a piping hot cup of tea, it was the cherry on top of our fantastic dining experience.

The food is simply outstanding, showcasing the rich flavors and vibrant spices of Syrian cuisine. But what truly sets Roman Zaman apart is their exceptional customer service. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast of Syrian cuisine or looking to explore something new, Roman Zaman is a must-visit. Prepare to be delighted by their delectable dishes and impeccable service. Great job indeed! 👏

Authentic Syrian food with excellent service. The tables are pretty large. The entire restaurant is clean and organized. The staff is respectful and service is good. They come pretty often and check on you. They took the orders patiently, the food didn't take too long to come out. We ordered a lot of brunch stuff. The chicken liver was amazing, hummus, tea, and Arabic coffee were good. The portions are large and the prices are very fair considering the portion, service, and authenticity. The bathrooms are clean, and the theme matches the authenticity. There is a prayer room as well. Very child friendly as well.

We came across this wonderful restaurant while dropping off our niece at a birthday party. The food is of Syrian Cuisine, and because of the way it was served, it looked very tantalizing. It made us feel like we were sitting in a restaurant somewhere in Syria. The restaurant was very clean, the ambient was very nice, and the background music was pleasant. While we were there one of the guests was celebrating a sons birthiday and the servers brought out a desert and sang a birthday song in Syrian to which a number of the other guests joined in and clapped, including children that were there. The service was excellent, and our server "Halah" was very friendly. She took the time to explain the different menu selections and recommended some things she thought we might like based on our discussions about our preferences, which included both meat and vegetarian options. The portions were a very good size, and my wife and I ended up sharing everything while still having leftover food to take home. Since our first visit, we have been back to the restaurant 2 more times, including with friends, who also enjoyed the experience. If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience, we definitely recommend this place.
