Honestly I thought maybe the low reviews were from long ago and they have perhaps brought in a new doctor as the recent reviews are better, but Dr. Tyrell is not kind at all. Lesson learned - always trust reviews. They usually are not wrong, especially when the rating is this low. We waited over an hour for our scheduled appointment which was fine since the receptionist was super sweet and kept calling to keep us updated. But I would expect after waiting over an hour I would at least be afforded some kindness and patience and I got none of that. I was only allowed to ask six questions and then she rudely cut me off and said ā€œthis will be your last questionā€ and then scurried through my questions super quick - she did not at all take the time to appropriately answer any question. I told her my son was tugging at his ear and she said ā€œheā€™s probably just discovering his earsā€ - could she not at least have checked to make sure it wasnā€™t an infection? After waiting an hour we were rushed out in less than 10 minutes. Horrible doctor. It makes me so sad that new parents seek her out for reassurance and support as they navigate the new and vulnerable parenting role and sheā€™s probably this dismissive to everyone. I will never go to her again. Side note: If you look at all the ā€œgood reviewsā€ they were all within the span of 3-4 weeks ago. So either she decided to be nice that week and ask people to review on Google or they are from her friends.

This place is our go-to clinic to bring the kids when our family doctor is unavailable on short notice. Iā€™ve seen the bad reviews and our experience here has been nothing but pleasant. Dr. Tyrell is straightforward and thorough. As a worried mother of 2 young children, she puts my mind at ease since I trust her expertise and experience as a paediatrician. She doesnā€™t sugar coat or ā€œbeat around the bushā€ so donā€™t expect her to corroborate your WebMD search with Dr. Google. I will say that we have encountered belligerent people who come to visit the clinic being extremely rude to the receptionist so I can only imagine what theyā€™re like to Dr. Tyrell and the rest of the staff. It doesnā€™t take a lot to be kind. I get that might be difficult to do especially when our kids are sick and weā€™re all at our wits end but at the end of the day, weā€™re all at the clinic waiting for help for our little ones. Also, yes it says ā€œwalk-inā€ but I suppose people donā€™t realize that COVID/ the raging RSV season (yā€™know the thing clogging up our hospitals) changed a lot of the healthcare landscape. Call ahead of time. It takes a few minutes out of your day and if you donā€™t get through right away, leave a message and the receptionist will get back to you quite quickly regarding openings. There is a notice on the door indicating that the waiting room is closed (because of the aforementioned diseases) so please, do yourself a favour and read the instructions the clinic has posted or clarify them when you call. Note: there is a mask requirement, because again, the aforementioned diseases (yā€™know, RSV and influenza, and COVID) affecting kids, hospitals, etc. I canā€™t say enough good things about this clinic, but thereā€™s a lot to say about the rude parents who come through and verbally abuse the staff. Itā€™s awful seeing parents set terrible examples for their kids, especially after coming to a clinic for help.

This place is a joke. It says walk-in everywhere. I come with a infant under two months and get told we don't accept walk-ins. What is happening to this world where you refuse babies and tell them we can do an over the phone visit in a couple days. This a joke. You are here to help kids help them!

Appreciate this clinic for taking measures during a COVID/ RSV surge! Signs on the door and receptionist have mentioned to us the protocols in place for our/ other patientsā€™ safety (ie masking and waiting in your car until they call you in for your appointment). It sounds like a lot of people donā€™t understand these measures from the 1 star reviews. Definitely donā€™t listen to that company with no reason for their low score. Probably a bot or someone vindictive enough to verbally abuse healthcare workers. Itā€™s a convenient location with great staff. Dr. Tyrell is to the point and efficient. Her receptionist is kind and fast to call you back if they miss your call.

I have attended this Clinic twice now and the doctor is extremely rude and has absolutely no bedside manners. She does not look at you when she speaks and has a ton of attitude. After my first visit I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she was having a bad day but she had the same horrible attitude for the second visit. She needs to realize she's a doctor working with kids and should really start being more friendly with her patients. I asked to weigh my daughter and she was irritated about this request however my child is 12 months and hasnt been weighed in 3 months.

Took my son to this walk in clinic. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We were seen by the pediatrician. I thought the pediatrician was very rude!. I asked her a simple question about pediatric medicine and instead of taking 2 seconds to answer it which could've done very simply. She instead rudely tell me to go see my child's family doctor and ask them. Rude doctors like this act like they are doing vounteer but literally, she is getting paid by OHIP to answer those questions and to do her job. If she is so miserable and can't answer simple questions, she shouldn't have a job working with children.

Saw Dr. Tyrell today and found her to be professional, and therough. Called a bunch of times to try and get through , so I left a message. Got a call back in just over an hour, and an appointment an hour after that. Reception was friendly and helpful. Only hick up was x-ray from streetsville medical center would not open for the dr. (Not her fault) My pediatrician was not available, I'd go back to see Dr. Tyrell. I saw the negative reviews after I went to clinic . My experience was positive.

Dr. Allison is an incredible doctor. Sheā€™s very patient when we have questions as new parents and sheā€™s very warm and caring when dealing with our kids. Her receptionist is very professional and also kind and welcoming towards us.

Even 1 star is far too generous. Doctor was dismissive of my sonā€™s symptoms despite me telling her. She checked him really quickly and we were ushered away. We later ended up at Emergency middle of the night to find out my son had pneumonia. We ended up admitted into Sick Kids it was so severe. She completely missed the symptoms and even the doctors at Sick Kids say it was negligent for her. Itā€™s a long wait, but just go to the ER.

I had an excellent service at this clinic today. I was at Trillium last night, waited over 4hrs at the rapid assessment unit and my child was still not seen. I had to leave in the early hours of morning after my child became distressed and exhausted. Made an appointment here today and was greeted by a pleasant receptionist who was able to make a same day appointment. I arrived early for my appointment and when I met Dr Alison Tyrell i found her to be in a happy, pleasant and friendly mood. She was excellent at listening to my concerns, made adequate notes and thoroughly examined my child. Although it was almost 6pm she did not rush me and made sure we were given the medication we needed. I would happily visit here again. The reception staff were also welcoming and helpful. Overall very happy with the service.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Awful experience. It was my first and will most definitely be my last time coming here. Listen to the other reviews - they are not wrong. Dr. Tyrell? or whatever her name is, is quite literally the WORST doctor I have ever met in my entire life and I have worked in healthcare myself. Right off the bat she had a negative and demeaning attitude. Every answer was followed by a sigh, like she was so annoyed at us for being there and couldn't be bothered to answer our questions. We were there for our son to have a check up and she told us she doesn't do that. What kind of doctor are you then? She was rough with my son and her attitude throughout the entire visit was completely rude. She should not be in this profession, and needs to find a new job if she is so miserable. Please listen to the other reviews and DO NOT COME HERE. Whatever positive reviews she has is said to be from her friends/family and I 100% believe that to be true.

When we first moved to Ontario from BC we were so disheartened that we could not find a reliable family doctor. We found this clinic by googling. On our first visit, Dr.Tyrell seemed arrogant and impatient. However what we absolutely liked about her is the straightforward no-nonsense approach to the diagnosis. She asked us a bunch of questions and carefully considered the science before prescribing anything for our son. I trust her judgement even though doctors cannot diagnose accurately 10 out 10 times especially in infants and toddlers as they cannot express themselves. The staff are also very helpful, thorough and organized. I understand some parents did not get the chance to ask a lot of questions and sometimes were not treated the way they expected. But in the end they have to decide whether they want someone who can be trusted with the medical science when it comes to children or someone who is pleasant but cannot diagnose your child properly.

This is a great clinic and Iā€™ve had nothing but positive experiences through multiple visits for both my daughters. I do not agree at all with the negative reviews Iā€™ve found here; the doctor has great bedside manner and is very attentive. She answers questions and concerns and explains her diagnosis very clearly.

Dr. Allison and her receptionist were nothing but amazing! So friendly and very welcoming. I had a left a message and got a call back within the hour and was on the same day! Dr. Allison was very meticulous with the examination, asked a lot of questions for medical history, she took the time to suggest me to stick with my Pediatrician as she is only doing walk-in. I can say she cares. Yes she is very direct person I could tell but thatā€™s how a doctor should be! I am not sure what fuss is all about that the doctor isnā€™t good, well to each itā€™s different. I would definitely recommend this clinic. There a many Peds clinic in Mississauga that I have tried, MANY, the doctors are always in a rush. I tried calling all Peds clinic in Mississauga today, left messages, no one called except Arubah Clinic. For a walk-in clinic, Dr. Allison and her receptionist was kind, and did a great job.

DO NOT COME HERE. I brought my son here to have a doctor look at his face as he has a rash. The receptionist was nice ā€” HOWEVER the doctor (whose name I donā€™t even know) was HORRIBLE. I believe the nurse said Dr. Tyrell or Churell??? Youā€™d think I know since usually they introduce themselves. As soon as she came in the room to examine my son she had an attitude right off the bat. No introduction, no hello no NOTHING. The entire time she asked questions she had an attitude. She even told me I was ā€˜weirdā€™ for not bringing him to a family doctor before seeing her. The AUDACITY. You would think she knew me and had a personal problem with me. She should reconsider her profession. Complete turn off and it took a lot for me to hold my mouth. I would not refer her to a single soul on this planet. I could go on as there was so much more but hopefully this gives you an idea. Zero stars if I could. ANY GOOD REVIEW I SEE HERE IS HER FAMILY OR A FRIEND.

Iā€™ve been to this clinic a handful of times in the past month as I initially brought my daughters here when our doctor didnā€™t have any appointments available. Making an appointment was easy (and very clearly stated that it is needed on the website) and weā€™ve been able to get appointments next day if needed. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. Dr. Tyrrell is thorough with her questions and direct in how she speaks, which I can see how it might not be everyoneā€™s cup of tea but I enjoy that sheā€™s straight to the point. She answers all of my questions and then some. Our appointments have been on time or late, but thatā€™s to be expected. Itā€™s like traffic- itā€™s unpredictable and everyday can be different. She also makes sure to book follow up visits and is available by phone appointments if needed. All in all, my visits to this clinic have been positive and will continue to bring my daughters here as my eldest has also enjoyed seeing Dr. Tyrrell. And no I am not a friend or family member- just a local mom seeking medical care during viral season.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Weā€™ve only had good experiences when we have an appointment with Dr. Tyrell. She is thorough, asks questions to ensure nothing is left out, friendly, and great with our almost two year old. She even found an ear infection that another walk-in doctor did not find because they didnā€™t even check our daughterā€™s ears. We would definitely recommend Dr. Tyrell to parents with kids! We prefer to go here over our daughterā€™s family doctor.

I don't understand these negative reviews. My family doctor's office ran out of vaccines twice, and we only found out when we arrived for our appointments. Both times, we called this clinic to see if my baby boy could get vaccinated there. I got the appointments easily, and the doctor was so kind and great with my son.

Went to the doctor for our 15 month old daughterā€™s regular vaccine. My wife had very bad experience. We experienced a rough and rude attitude from the doctor. The doctor was reluctant in answering some simple doubts that my wife had related to the childā€™s growth.

Great experience at the clinic today! Receptionist was prompt in answering several times. Gave wait times and was very patient. Most importantly, I was able to going with my 3.5 year old and they were kind enough to call me when it was her turn so we shopped around the plaza until they called. Shopper's is next door which was super convenient to fill her prescription after the appointment. The doctor was super kind to my daughter and did not rush us out. The office was SUPER CLEAN! Thank you to the doc and the receptionist!

I had a phone consult with Dr. Tyrrell for my 4.5 month baby today and she was just wonderful. She offered great advice and was professional and kind. I was honestly anxious to even book an appointment here having read all the previous reviews, but now so glad I did. It's so hard to believe any of those reviews now that I have spoken to her. I still went after reading all the negative thingsreviews as itā€™s close to my home. But surprisingly itā€™s a very good clinic with a very professional doctor. The reception is very caring and always pick up calls . The waiting time is only 10-15 minutes, and the doctor is very professional. We had a vaccine and we were asked to stay for 15 minutes for observation. The doctor actually came to check my baby again after 15 minute, listening her heartbeat and checking everything. I sort of understand why some review says she is not friendly. I have two kids and I have seen lots of doctors with my kids. This doctor doesnā€™t play with baby or say anything like she is so cuteā€¦ā€¦other doctors we used to seen was like that. But I mean she is a doctor, not a ECE teacher. She answers questions very straightforward and that might make someone think itā€™s not a good attitude. But we are not here to make friends , We are here to make sure our kids are healthy. I think she is a very professional doctor and did her job very well. The reception is friendly and always welling to help. I will definitely stay with her.

I have to agree with the comment below, i felt the same when I first met with Dr Tyrell, she seemed very impatient and rough in the beginning but then she turned out to be very straightforward and gentle whatever question you ask her. I thought she would be like the other doctors who when you ask too many questions, get annoyed but I was surprised at how gentle she was when answering my too many questions. She knows her stuff, would recommend her.

This is my second review, in May 2022- my whole family got Covid-19. That included my little one, she was 10months old then. Due to the severity of it, she had 2 seizure episode within the course of her illness. I called 4 different Pediatric doctors and a family doctor to get her assessed as I felt she might need more work up to make sure everything is okay- unfortunately all 4 doctors were dismissive (except this one clinic) and said itā€™s normal to have seizures with Covid-19. As a mother I knew, I had to get it further investigated. So I called my favourite Peds clinic for an appointment- and got a virtual appointment and then a walk-in appointment. So I went into the office with my daughter, Dr. Allison did a check up thoroughly and asked lots of questions and this is what she said- I think we should refer her to a Peds neurologist for further investigation! I just told myself ā€œyes, finally someone listened to me!ā€ She did her part! She referred my daughter to 2 different neuro Peds (one in Oakville and one in Mississauga). Met the neuro Peds doc in Mississauga and she said she wants to do an MRI just to make sure everything is ok! Mind you- This is not a paid review. This is a genuine review and the reason why I am writing a review is to get this message to as many parents as possible that your kid is in safe hand with Dr. Allison. Yes, Dr. Allison may sound stern at times, but I just choose not to be bothered by it because I assume thatā€™s her style of talking and itā€™s her personality. Regardless, she is a good and professional Pediatrician.

Terrible first experience. Firstly I was told this is a walk in and then I was told itā€™s not now. I got there and it was their ā€œlunch timeā€ which by the way they close for that, which there ainā€™t anything wrong everyone has to eat. Anyways I waited until they were back. I was parked right outside their door, and there Way NO ONE WAITING inside I only saw one stroller that was park but no baby or child in it. I called they picked up and told me that I donā€™t have an appointment they canā€™t take me. I told them my 3 month old son has really bad congestion and needs to be seen due to him having bronchitis a few weeks ago. They said try a walk in family doctor or hospital. Iā€™m shocked I was turned away especially since heā€™s a baby and I was outside the door and there was no patient inside that I saw, I think they could have made an expectation. For my first time coming here it was a horrible experience.

First off, it does not matter about wait time. What matters is the care being given and proper medical attention given to your child; so your child can get better and be happier and everyone can continue to go to school and work. I have been already more then 5 times at this beautiful Clinic and it has been consistently the same wonderful cleanliness, and care of the child health every time I have went. They Disinfect the patient room everytime after each patient has been seen, (you can smell it, so you know it has been disinfectanted) the washroom and clinic always stays clean too. It makes me feel safe taking my Two daughters to be seen at this Clinic and to have Dr.Tyrrell as a pediatrician. The treatment by the receptionist is nice and professional and consistent. Dr.Tyrrell has been consistent too! I am BLESSED I found Dr.Tyrrell she is a really Good Dr. She is Knowledgeable, nice, cares for your child and wants the child to be better. She actually takes her time to know what is going on, and takes notes. She really analyzes the situation and child health. Which these days you DO NOT get this type of Dr. Tyrrell Anymore! You only get more Dr's. These days in and out quick. I really appreciate her time she takes. She is the only Dr. That ran tests on my two girls that no other Dr's. Have. I went to alot of other Pediatricians and Clinic Dr's. With this on going problems with my daughters. Dr.Tyrrell is the only one who helped me gave me a relief. WOW!!...SHE EVEN SETS UP FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS RIGHT ON THE SPOT TO SEE HOW EVERYTHING IS GOING TO PROGRESS WITH THE CHILD IF THEY GETTING BETTER OR WORSE! ALSO, THEY STAY ON TOP OF THE TEST RESULTS AND CALL TO KEEP YOU UPDATED. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DR.TYRRELL AND RECEPTIONISTS. I WILL LEAVE GEORGETOWN TO COME SEE YOU ALWAYS. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

I recently found this clinic in October 2023 after moving to the area. The service is fast, efficient and thorough. The pediatrician is very straight to the point but my kids ( who normally don't like being touched by doctors ) had no issues with her. She speaks to my kids directly and makes them feel comfortable. I DEFINITELY recommend this place. She has helped my daughter with her ear infection, son with his rash, and another check up on my daughter when she had the flu. I do recommend calling in advance to make sure she's available, I've had 1 issue once where we came too late and my husband was waiting outside but they still took us in. Lastly, calling them is a breeze! I never wait. Someone always picks up. And even when it's full, the service is fast. Thank you Doc and reception!

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Tyrell and her team. We've been seeing Dr. Tyrell since 2014 and as a parent to both a 9-year-old and a 2-year-old, finding a doctor who not only possesses immense knowledge but also genuinely cares about her patients has been a true blessing. Dr. Tyrell's expertise has been invaluable in maintaining the well-being of my children. Her approach goes beyond the routine examinations; she takes the time to address concerns, thoroughly explaining medical conditions, and providing sound advice. This level of attentiveness and commitment to her patients' health is truly commendable and has eased many of my worries. Booking appointments with Dr. Tyrell has been a breeze, thanks to the efficiency of her front office team. The ease and speed with which I can secure an appointment reflect the dedication of the entire team to accommodate their patients' needs promptly.
