The Egyptian Museum in MISSISSAUGA is a hidden gem, is really one of Mississauga’s landmarks, it houses great replica artefacts of well known ancient Egyptian pieces. The staff is all volunteers and does their best to provide great customer service and ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions and provide valuable information on Egyptian history and King Tut in specific. Our tour included a 30 minute movie on Tutankhamun and the discovery of his tomb. At the end we spent sometime at the gift shop and purchased a few souvenirs at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Visited the Egyptian Museum today. It is a hidden gem in Mississauga. The place is filled with sculptures highlighting Egyptian culture and history. The guide, Emily, made the tour interesting with her knowledge and commentary. It definitely made my day and a strong recommendation from my side for everyone to check this place out

A hidden gem in Mississauga which is a worth visit honestly! We as a family enjoyed the tour . They have maintained it so well and Emily , she is a volunteer giving her precious time to this museum. Emily is extremely knowledgeable and described the history of King Tut in depth. They have a movie theater and a small gift shop, moreover , they have some articles of egyptian clothes to try and can take photos. You must book the appointment. Emily was kind enough to give my son with a gift as well.

Egyptian Museum is a hidden gem in Mississauga. My 5 years old son love this place. Thanks Emily's hospitality and introduction about Pharaoh Tutankhamun. We saw all his clothes, chair, tomb, statue, facial mask, jewelry, parents and so on. The authentic antique for Pharaoh Tutankhamun is stored at Cairo, it's worth visit some day.

We travelled through Missasauga and were looking for an interesting place to visit. We came across the website of the Egyptian Museum. This place was a fun outing for a couple of hours and we were impressed with Emily's passion and care for this place. As they are still setting up and waiting for some more publicity there might be a few smaller things that are not running as smoothly as they could, but overall an interesting little museum with lots of cool information and many items about king Tut. We learned some interesting facts and the information and items truly made things come alive. Would be fun for a school field trip and we would love to take our kids some day!

I went in February, I loved the tour, but I didn't get a chance to see the film because it was down. I hope you all get a chance to enjoy the film when you go there. I will definitely come back next time and hopefully to be able to watch the film at that time. The woman that works there, she is very friendly and nice person.

I visited the museum 18th of May 2022. Such a beautiful replicas. Emily was very informative and welcoming. However, it needs to have a separate entrance and place then the school because the museum is located in a part of a school.

My husband and I visited the Museum to celebrate my birthday. At first, we had trouble finding the entrance, but with direction, we were able to get inside and meet a helpful volunteer. The Museum was gorgeous, filled with replicas of King Tut's treasures, and a lovely little gift shop to visit at the end of the tour that sold everything from statues, to authentic papyrus bookmarks and scrolls. We had the museum all to ourselves, and we took a lot of photos. There was also a Coptic Church that we visited, with beautiful iconography on the walls. It was not in use when we visited it, but it was also beautiful. All payments are done via E-Transfer, and you have to book an appointment ahead of time. For us, it was $10 per person, and well worth the price. The volunteers work hard to keep the place open, and devote their time to showing people the collection. We deeply appreciate the woman who showed us around, giving us time to visit the gift shop, and answer any questions we had. If you have kids, or are wondering where to book a class trip, or have a historian in your life, I highly recommend a visit to this hidden jewel in the heart of Mississauga.

From booking our visit until the end of our tour, we were treated like royalty! The exhibits were well organized, our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and was Egyptian/Canadian! We got to dress up, write our names in hieroglyphs, watch an informative video and take photos. They were also thoughtful and generous as they played "happy birthday' and presented my mother with a small gift for her 70th birthday celebration! We highly recommend this budding gem of a museum.

This is a little, hidden Mississauga gem. It is a work in progress, but very intimate experience. While all exhibits are reproductions (similar to most museums around the world btw), this is probably the only place you can see the exhibits so up close. Emily is really passionate about the museum and it's future, and the visit is more enjoyable with her guided tour. I hope with more visitors and funding this can expand to its own place. Things to note: - You need to book an appointment ahead - Carry cash or use Interac for the gift shop

I was delighted to find out about an Egyptian Museum right here in Mississauga. It was very fun to visit this extremely dedicated yet low-key gem! I hope that it can expand its operations beyond the school in the future. It has real potential, it's a much-needed dash of Egypt in Canada.

I have visited this museum on 30th November and. it was a really good experience. The whole museum was really maintained and clean and everything was like perfect and all the artifacts replicas are so detailed and everything was like up to the mark and like. we can imagine how much work has been put into these replicas. The place was huge. It has a own theatre and a gift. and a gift shop where you can buy some gifts that are. related to the Egypt and also the host was really good. She described. the history of Egypt and give me a general idea about the ancient Egypt And they were really helpful and guide me to all the artifacts and tell me about them in a really detailed manner and a special thanks to. (Amal Ernest ) the The volunteer guide.

Based on reviews and website the delivery was a little underwhelming ***THINGS TO NOTE*** ***call ahead and make an appointment*** ***$10 per person*** ***Make sure to bring cash*** *There is no debit machine on site* *****Your visit will be a lot smoother***** We did not get the pleasure of having a tour by the very highly spoken about Emily or the opportunity to visit the theater Which we believe comes w booking an appointment The museum is SMALL Held in a school There are no artifacts on site Everything in the museum are reproductions Photos and videos are permitted The area is well lit and not crowded which makes for a private intimate experience w your group If you consider yourself an egyptologist there is minimal attraction and information available at this museum If you're planning a couple of hours out of the house w your kids and family this would be a good place to visit

Had an amazing experience with family at the Egyptian museum. Had a lot of great artifacts and tons of information. Emily who was our tour guide is amazing and a major reason we had such a great time. I brought my two children with me and she really included them in the tour which was amazing. Great experience!

Went to visit this wonderful place with my 10 month old daughter! It was a lovely experience! We got a private tour with a very detailed history of the Dynasty! Our guide was the sweetest most attentive person I ever met! We got to see all the exhibits, watch a movie in the theatre and take some photos in costumes and jewellery. Yes the place is small (since they are waiting for a bit for publicity and funding) but it is a fantastic adventure! If you have kids ages 5-12 they will LOVE IT! Will for sure come back with my niece! Make sure to set up an appointment before coming (that one negative reviewer clearly missed that part)

The Egyptian Museum was a great place to visit they had a gift shop movie theatre and a exhibit (obviously) there were replicas of jewelry masks and weapons . Emily told us about king tut and showed us his mummy’s copy. Emily explained everything in details she even gave us gifts before we left. We were allowed to try on clothes and jewelry there and take some pictures. I would definitely recommend this Museum to everyone.

What an adventure! Truly, truly a hidden gem. The museum itself was magical and filled with so many cool replicas which looked exactly like the real thing! The volunteer, Emily, was also amazing. So knowledgable and you could tell she really cared about what she was talking about, also just generally a great person! I especially loved the gift shop which was full of so many cute little memorabilia. The Egyptian Museum is the perfect thing to do if you find yourself bored in Mississauga (which, let's face it, it's Mississauga...). 10/10 would recommend. Definitely filled my adventurous heart. <3

I went there with my friends and it was really good. We made a reservation and went there, we were given a warm welcome as on reaching. The guide helped us learning different things about the artifacts history. We were treated with full care. The museum itself it very good. Me with my friend wore the Egyptian robe there for free and got good photos. The guide in museum is very polite and knowledgeable about the artifacts in the museum. I will recommend everyone to go visit the museum there in Mississauga.
