Cute hidden cafe. I got an iced caramel latte which was good, I wish they had different cups for cold (vs hot) drinks. I was expecting more variety for drinks but it’s a very small place with capacity for only one person to work there so it makes sense they have a very small menu. They also sell cute items, I would love to try their lavender butter cookies that I saw but maybe next time!

Very disappointed to see as I walked in and they have a rule that you cannot use laptops inside of the cafe space unless you book a tiny room for $10 an hour which makes absolutely no sense is this completely defeats the purpose of a cafe. Before driving 20 minutes down there I called this cafe and one of the employees said there was space for me to do work and to "come on in" but did not make me aware that I would have to book out a room for $10 an hour. Next time please make sure to inform your customers correctly and that if anybody calls the store your employees clearly let them know that there is a charge to sit down and do work. It's fine to have co-working spaces that are paid for but to not even have one table and chair in the cafe where someone can sit and enjoy their coffee is absolutely ridiculous and a money grab. Take this as constructive criticism and include at least a table or two for someone to sit down and do some work on their laptop without having to go into a tiny room and pay $10 an hour whereas they could go to any other cafe in the city and sit and do work for free.

After a long, brisk walk with a friend, it felt like we were dropping into another friend's kitchen, full of yummy baking smells. They specialize in scones, both sweet & savoury. I enjoyed an Earl Grey & white chocolate scone with an excellent latté. Friendly service, very clean & cheerful atmosphere, where the owner is the baker!

Unfortunately as much as I tried to like this place, I have had several instances where I have been treated poorly because it was convenient for the owner. At this point I don't feel comfortable returning to the cafe at all as she has treated us as lesser than the other customers when we needed accomodations. From the point of view of a queer disabled couple with two special needs dogs: this place is only for the upper crust and it's clear we aren't welcome here. Don't let the friendly neighbourhood coffee shop vibe fool you.

Came to this cafe for a meeting. Was told we couldn't use the seating area with our laptops but would need to rent a room. So outside on another bench was in order. Ordered a cappuccino. Was not impressed. Cappuccino was extremely hot and bitter. That is all I tried here. Baristas need some guidance on making cappuccino. If the temperature was good for the coffee and milk the outcome could have been surprising.

Light and airy and full of local crafted goods, this quaint modern Cafe and coworking spot will be just your taste. Coffee pastries and sandwiches are delicious and I can't resist popping in at least once a week.

Very cozy cafe that feels like home. The staff and owner are very nice and welcoming, they also have a good variety of snacks and sandwiches. I hope I can return back but I will not since they do not have lactose-free milk, they only carry oat and almond milk, which destroys the coffee taste. The owner explained to me that there is no demand for lactose-free milk at her cafe and that is why they don’t use it. I get the point, but I believe every cafe should have lactose-free milk to accommodate people with such disability of lactose intolerance.

Lovely coffee, delicious scones, cozy and cute cafe, very homely... what else do you need? I will definitely be back to try the other scone flavors, so far, the cheese and onion, the cranberry ones are delicious. Friendly face with a smile too.

This is such a lovely café - it's clear that so much love and care was put into every part of it. Plus, their coffee is far superior to anything you'll get the other coffee places in the area (i.e. Tim Horton's or Starbucks). Much love, will be back :)

I absolutely love this place. It’s definitely a hidden gem with great service and amazing scones! I’ve tried the blueberry, earl grey with white chocolate, raspberries with white chocolate and the peach scones. My favorite is the earl grey one but all of them are really good! I’m happy I live close by so I can go for a walk and grab some treats while supporting local business!

Lovely cafe, coffee and food is good and they have some meeting/work rooms you can rent by the hour or day which is awesome if you work from home and want a change of scene. Staff are always helpful and friendly, and they allow dogs which is great!

Edited to respond to reply: the problem isn’t in the beans, but rather with the overheating of the espresso/liquid while making the drinks. So maybe better training for the barista(s)?! Original response: the scones were heavenly. We tried two flavours and they were both great. The latte and cappuccino, however, were horrible! The coffee seemed to have been overheated. I might come back for the scones but not the coffee.

I had the green onion and cheese scone, hot off the oven. It was yummy, I also shared some smoked salmon, egg salad sandwich, lemon squares, raspberry squares and some cookies. All of the stuff was yummy. Nice and cozy place and also has a sort of separate room with couches.

One of the worst cafe experiences I've had in a while! The most important thing in a cafe is coffee. I ordered a medium latte with oat milk and a touch of chocolate - it was hands on the worst coffee I've tasted in the last couple of years. Extremely bitter taste of burnt beans, without any trace of oat milk or chocolate syrup. 1/10 for the coffee, I couldn't even finish it. Even a McDonald's latte is better in comparison. The two sandwiches that I bought were very underwhelming - two untoasted pieces of bread, cream cheese, some raw-ish salmon. The egg salad one was...okay? Next - this a co-working cafe, my expectation was that I would be able to come with my laptop, and as long as I am a customer, I would be able to work for some time. Not in this case! Laptops are banned in most of the cafe (despite there are available seats), you can take yours out only if you rent a room for an extra 10$ an hour, on top of anything you spend there. Overall, would not recommend. Horrible coffee, underwhelming food, and a very weird 'laptop ban' policy

I can’t believe I forgot to give this lovely little shop the recognition it deserves. I am the worst. A community FB group recommended this place to me, and although I don’t have much time to go here, when I do have the time, this is THE spot. Their iced coffees are STELLAR, they are so flavourful and strong, just the way coffee should be. But the scones… oh man, the scones. From what I can tell, they’re homemade. And what a freaking blessing that is. They’re HUGE, and the flavour combinations they come up with are so interesting and delicious. I had a piña colada scone once here… who even thinks of that?! ILL TAKE 40, THANKS! I believe the blueberry ones are almost always on rotation there, those were my FAVE. Now that’s all fine and dandy, but what really gets me is how kind and friendly everyone who works there is, owner included. I can’t say enough good things about how sweet everyone there is, there’s no pressure with ordering and the small talk is NOT forced. Perfect little spot for my anxious self. This place is truly what stinky Starbucks WISHES they could be. Louise, keep up the amazing work! I gotta come by soon!!!!

We went in and had a large ginger cookie and chocolate scone. Staff were very friendly and we took the opportunity to sit in the lounge. There's lots of seating outside for couples. There's a bunch of take home food as well like jars of soup and pizzas that looked interesting.

We went today to Daly Grind for the first time and the fresh scones were just out of the oven and the smell was so irresistible. I tried the turtle scones (Pecan and chocolate chips) and It was so good, also the coffee was prefect. The place is nice and the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. You just feel at home.

Delicious latte. Service is friendly. Don't bring a laptop here though to work unless you are ready to pay $10/hour. Heading to Starbucks.

My colleagues and I were here for work today and it was a great experience. The owner Louise is very accommodating and so kind and hospitable. The smells of this Cafe kept making us hungry and ordering more food the whole time we were there. And the food is just amazing, must try the butter croissant. One of the best coffees in the area for sure!

Got a latte but the shot was under extracted so the drink was sour. I would say more training may be needed for the baristas but the baked goods are absolutely worth coming back for. The scones are incredible, best scones I’ve ever had and can’t wait to try the other flavors. We also got croissants and the lemon squares which are also delicious. Hopefully the drinks will be better next time.

đź‘Ť Nice heated outdoor seating. Delicious Ceasars. Crab cakes were excellent and the honey goat cheese mushroom appetizer was so flavorful. I had the Steak Oscar and it was pretty good.
