Amazing shrine to visit on its own little island that you access by a walking bridge. The scenery inside and out is beautiful.

Nice shrine on Aoshima island. We walked there from the public parking lot and surrounded the island which is a relaxing easy 30 to 40 minutes walk. You also pass by devils washboard. The scenery is very nice. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Miyazaki beach!

This shrine is very famous for the spiritual place to get the marriage tie, based on vero old myth. Many lover couples visit this shrine for praying their eternal love. So you might be see almost lover couples only. This shrine is located on the small island and surrounded with characteristic bedrocks, called "the demon's washing board". You can see it and can walk on it at some places. It will be interesting opportunity to do that. You can access there by train and public bus. And if you drive a rent-a-car, you can find many parking lots near the entrance of island. But every parking lot is paid-parking. Not free. It takes 5-10 minutes walk from the entrance road of the island. And many souvenir shops are located along the entrance road.

Aoshima Shrine is located on a small island near Miyazaki city. The site has amazing view and atmosphere. There are a lot of benches and tables near the island, so you can bring your own meal and enjoy the view of Aoshima. Parking spaces available nearby as well.

Very beautiful shrine by the beach. It has so many fun ways to get shrine stuff, it’s almost as if you went to a town fair or a festival and there are booths for playing, but a shrine version. You will need to spend some cash though if you want to try these things. Try to remember that the omikuji is not an omiyage so better open it so that you can tie it to the string and leave it at the shrine if it is not favorable for you. Their special summer stamp is very beautiful.

Only jungle and a little shrine, very fun to visit, it gets pretty windy but once you get in it’s warm and humid, they also have bathrooms but deep in the jungle.Palm trees mainly, really nice place.

Beautiful and unique shrine! We loved this one! While we were there, a couple was getting wedding photos, so I didnt want to disturb that process to get photos of the actual shrine, but it was beautiful and well maintained. A couple homemade craft vendors as you come to the Torri as well.

This is shrine is very unique, sitting on an island in close proximity to shore and easily accessed by bridge. There are a couple interesting things you can appreciate around the shrine.

A hour JR from Miyazaki town, worth visiting if you have a day around. The island is connected to the mainland with a walking bridge, might be possible to walk thru on the sand if it is low tide.

A small temple on the island. Very well maintained and popular with a lot of visitors. Nice architecture with serene ambient. Nice to visit when you are on the island.
