A local restaurant offering the famous Nanban chicken 南蛮チキン dishes. The dish is delicious 😋 It is located in an alley behind the Main Street. There are two floor and the interior is 70s style. The service is adequate. You can see lots of locals enjoying the meals there. Worth a visit if you are in town.

If there is one thing that Miyazaki is famous for in Japan, it's chicken nanban, and in my experience there is nowhere in Japan that does chicken nanban like Ogura. I stumbled upon Ogura my first time in Miyazaki City and I've been dreaming about those flavors every since. My mouth is watering just writing this review. I found it wandering around one afternoon trying to find a good coffee (an obsession of mine in Japan - seeking out 3rd wave coffee shops). There was a long line at about 2pm on a weekday so I decided to jump in line after reading what I could about the restaurant. I was not disappointed. It was absolutely fantastic. Inside it feels like a US diner, but the food is all Japan. There is no reason to look past the chicken nanban on the menu, but be aware it's a lot of food for one person. Go hungry! Kampai!

Visited this restaurant to enjoy the renowned nanban chicken in Miyazaki with my friend. Staff is helpful and service is quick. The location is a bit hard to find but persevere and you’ll be rewarded with a delectable, mouth-watering meal!

Fantastic chicken Nan dish. The homemade tarter sauce was ok, I just prefer American traditional tarter sauce. The chicken breast was cooked well with little to no fat. Big portions here. I could have split the dish and been ok. Small resturant but cute and great service!

If you want to experience homey cuisine circa 1950's thru 80's Japan, in a very retro Showa-era diner. This is for you. If you want to have a great lunch using good ingredients and with modern flavor profiles and techniques being used... this is not for you.

Nice place to try a local restaurant. Takes some time to cook and serve but foods are not hot... just warm enough. Good place to go.

This is a wonderfully cozy restaurant. The restaurant has a strange combination of interior, but the service is great and staff very friendly. Getting food doesn't take long and is quite tasty. There is no English menu, but they do have a picture menu, which contains essentially the same as the Japanese menu. The restaurant is in a small alley.

Get there BEFORE they open at 11am if you don’t want to wait too long in line. More popular with tourists than the locals. Was told most locals would eat chicken nanban along with other dishes in restaurants rather than coming to this place which only serves one thing. Food is still good but personally wouldn’t come back here again.

The chicken naben is above average but didn't wow me. The ogura Chan set gives you 1 nanban chicken, pasta, cabbage and rice for 1100Y. Business set gives you 1/2 nanban chicken and 1/2 hamburger steak. The nanban chicken is still better imo. The tartar sauce is great

A no frills restaurant serving Namban Chicken. The chicken was deep fried to perfect crust while retaining all the juices within the meat. I asked the restaurant not to serve this dish with rice. The sauce was tangy and complimented very well with the chicken. Highly recommended.

Not sure what the hype with chicken Nanban is but it was good nevertheless. Inexpensive meal but satisfying.

😠 I want the person in charge of Kyushu jurisdiction to respond immediately. I went there around 3pm on weekdays before Obon. Inside the store, I was surprised at the dirtiness of the lane as soon as I was guided to the first seat of the lane with only 2 or 3 families and 3 people at the counter. Whe...

😠 What a bug from dessert ... I love Sushiro, but I'm not shocked ... Of course, the dessert fee was free, but I wonder if insects will sprout in the powder system? How about as a restaurant? No matter how many times I called the staff, I couldn't come ... I apologized so much.
