Wonderful ryokan atmosphere from the tatami rooms to the bath. There has been a ryokan here for 300 years I learned. Definitely at least order the Japanese breakfast as it is excellent (fish, rice, soup, pickles). It was very quiet when I stayed there. Only complaint is the futon is too firm for side sleepers. I stayed in two ryokan in the area and this was far and away the better one.

I have a very pleasant stay here... even though it is just 1 night, but my impression of this ryokan that this is awesome... very quiet, the breakfast food is great and they have great onsen too! the Okami is really kind and beautiful, I wish I can speak & understand Japanese more so I can learn & ask about this history of this ryokan and surrounding areas. 先日早めの夏休みでお世話になりました。旅程の都合上1泊しかできませんでしたが、非常に満足いく宿泊となりました。 お部屋は広々清潔ですし、温泉もこじんまりしているものの脱衣所なども清潔にされており、快適でした。 夜のお食事も時間を調整いただき、何よりお魚もお肉も一品一品がとても美味しかったです。 女将さんのおかげで、アクセスの難しい与謝野町での翌日の予定も大変充実したものにすることができました。ありがとうございます。 またいつか訪れたいと思います。
